His best to date. it's like the night condensed into 20 minutes, as the night progresses, the more chaotic your mind becomes. Beautifully organized chaos. Thank you Matt Elliott

I usually listen to this song at night, and really makes me feel like if my mind is this song .
I was sick one night and couldn't sleep, and was on vacation at someone else's house so I couldn't watch TV or do anything besides sit and think really, so I checked out some of Matt's other stuff I've never heard, like Corpses as Bedmates; yeah, that was a bad idea in that state Whatever negative, existential thoughts I was experiencing were just magnified
_Waste of Blood_ is still such an incredible lead up to this electronically composed behemoth of a track. It builds the emotional height of the album's folk roots and to me could have been a satisfying enough ending but Matt had to take it even further.
Только сейчас заметил, что название альбома и исполнителя на обложке перепутаны местами) Matt Ellott и Ваня Журавлев,- прекрасное отражение и взаимное дополнение творчества. Любовь!
Some details in the picture you may have missed: - Slavic characters (likely Russian) on the MATT ELLIOTT - DRINKING SONGS sign. I don't know what they mean. - The bottle he's drinking out of is labeled Fantasies... Vania. Not sure if that's a real drink. - The ash trey is labeled with Russian characters, and means "Night." - Unidentifiable white objects to the right of the ash trey, maybe mints?
Absinthe is a classy drink, I'd argue, and should be treated as such. It used to have 'wormwood' which was a mild hallucinogenic, but this has been outlawed.
I dont' recommend listening to this if you suffer from anxiety or PTSD. Triggering as fuck for me. Still a great track tho, careless of standards and working phenomenally as a closer for this amazing album.
Yeah I can only really listen to this like once in a day, its basically the music equivalent of a light anxiety attack turning into a full breakdown at a grocery store
This song is like tie'ng your arms to peices of rope and having you be pulled both ways like a toy, this song throws you through a mix of emotions, some good some bad. anxiety, exitement, fear, discovery. you have no expression, no thoughts or feelings, you have no understanding of what this song is or what it represents. you are confused. but you enjoy how different and persistant it is, you are intrigued by the mystery. this song is so captivating in its own way, it shows the briliance of matt eliott.
I could also see dark ambiance, experimental, psychedelic and electronic music all fitting for the intro, but idk if that'll be super useful in finding more music like it. Post-Rock music could be what you're looking for. There are a few G!YBE tracks that sound similar.
@@taden5256 ive been digging in post rock a lot i really like it, but the dark and moody atmosphere in this intro is just unique. And i know for sure there is a whole sub genre like this i just cant get a hold on the name of it. But thank you very much for taking the time to reply, ill check what you have suggested at the end
ah... nice song, i hope the main inspiration of this isn't any vile representation of a beauty maid girl serving strange pals with alchoholic problems and very very low sense of morality to the point of flirting her in group and making her flatered to everything and slowly serving them more while getting drunked with all the convo and drinks they pays for her ..until some point where she get dumped in the streets like a trash after being rentlessly raped and used horrendously. That's not what the tittle represents, aye? ...all this progression to madness sure hits imagination
His album before this was called The Mess We Made, and had a song on it of the same name. The Maid We Messed is almost like a mashup of that song and another from the same album, Cotard's Syndrome. By extension it's a "bridge" of sorts between his electronic work as Third Eye Foundation and his work in folk

Never found a better music in my life
That song touch my soul, it is so sad, so desesperate... thank you

Always so elegant. What a masterpiece
I have once again become the sum of everything I claim to despise.

Vania is the name of the artist, Vania Zouravliov
At the top of "Matt Elliot" means : "new record" and at the bot is "served" (sorry for my english)
There's also a face shape ressemble behind the guy.
The drink its absynthe from what i found and it goes with sugar cubes

Elliott's best work since his mid '90's collaboration with Steve Walsh and Gerry Taggart
Guy Melton dafuq are you talking about?
He is just joking about the fact that a soccer player is named Matt Elliott, and others named Steve Walsh and Gerry Taggart, waste of timeeeee
Guy Melton Da fac?
Can someone tell me what genre is the intro, i need a name to search for this type of music. I wish the intro was 20minutes or longer

well considering Matt Elliott is Third Eye Foundation, that would make sense.
