a beautiful explanation on both these events , paints the picture well and what Stalin's intentions truly were. It is interesting how the cold war was beginning to bite and created tension. You earned your like off of me! Thank you!
That's because they are two different maps. Germany was split in four and the French section was in the bottom. But in Berlin, the countries took bits in a different order. This is how Germany itself was divided: cutt.ly/5QBrsWQ This is how Berlin was divided: cutt.ly/IQBrf7M Does that help?
4:03 You are dead wrong, and you pose as a history expert. Tell the truth, genius. There WERE casualties as a result of the Berlin Blockade and Airlift. In aircraft accidents during the airlift, 39 British air crewmen died, 31 American air crewmen killed, 1 Australian air crewman was killed and 15 German civilians were killed on the ground.
Completely biased video, covers up everything that the US did which necessitated the Berlin Blockade. Wouldn't advise to take this video word for word.
@@historyblast9907 Yeah, that's the point. This type of education is only for passing exams, not to learn authentic history. I understand your point now.
All the other videos about this topic aren't detailed at all. This was really good.

German history textbooks provide a different interpretation ("The Western allies turned Trizonia into the Federal Republic of Germany".)
No casualties (zero) lol? Ok, you might be using a different calculator than me. 🤷♂️
Unfortunately, this video suffers from pronunciation issues.

I would take it word for word if you want to pass your GCSE Edexcel History course, which this is designed to do.

@@heathen0001 precisely. It is a 6 min revision of what is in the textbook to help them study what their teachers have told them
The US did nothing to "necessitate" the blockade. The Western Allies wanted to return autonomy to Germany, but Stalin wanted to control it.
@@archivist3867 :)))) Okay buddy
