This was literally the re-telling and re-enactment of her OD story... absolutely incredible
This song is about her relapse & overdose in 2018 that nearly killed her. She's basically reenacting the events of the night she ODed in the video. She has a 4 part documentary on UA-cam about it. The album is a work of art.
So Demi if you want to know the meaning behind this song, and all the songs on her new album that was just released April 2nd, watch the documentary “Demi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil” it’s a 4 part docu series on UA-cam. You don’t have to react but watch. This music video is an exact re-enactment of her relapse and near fatal OD. Then please react to her new album it’s FIRE!!! It’s starts with a song she wrote 4 days before her near fatal overdose called “Anyone” and it’s a literal cry for help, then ends with a song “Good Place” which is about finally feeling content. The album takes you on a journey from the relapse-aftermath of OD-rebirth. To truly appreciate how much of a lyrical masterpiece it is, you would need to see the doc. Oh and the song “Anyone” was the first song she sang on stage and release since the OD. She premiered the song live at the 2020 Grammy’s it’s on UA-cam. There’s also “Father” live at CAST Center
This music video is incredible mainly because she re-enacted a lot of the details of her drug overdose from a couple years ago. She isn’t exaggerating when she says ‘almost made it to heaven’. The overdose caused her to suffer strokes, a heart attack and she still is partially blind. Check out her live performance of Anyone at the Grammys. This song was written just a few days before her overdose.

I loved that you didn’t know her at all and couldn’t be biased cause she was very much so the Disney princess star growing up. She has grown and changed so much in so many ways. Addiction to alcohol and drugs specifically heroin especially is her struggle. She’s always been an actress and started that way with her shows on Disney but now she is flawlessly belting out her emotions in music. If you loved this you’ll love her live. Hey anyone performance live at Grammys, her live a billboard music awards stone cold and her live father performance as well as her latest live tiny desk performance are some of her best. A great music video to check out for her is tell me you love me. I am here for you to go down the rabbit hole that is Demi lovato lol 😂 liked and subscribed!

I’m so glad you didn’t pause it every 3 minutes, there are several people who do that and it’s irritating! Lol
so your reaction was good as far as listening to the vocals but you need to understand where this comes from she has a doc.out on you tube you should watch to get a understanding of the story this is a reinactment of the night she overdosed on heroin laced with phentanol her drug dealer sexually abused her while she was high then left her for dead she would be dead now except her friend found her in the morning the doctors said another 10 mins and it would have killed her she had 3 strokes a heart attack went blind and had multi organ faliure she can see now but is still having issues with it she is very brave for doing this raw and real video in hopes that someone will be helped by her ordeal
