For tamogoyaki with extra bits like ham and cheese, I use two separate egg mixtures. One with all the bits and one just egg. Cook the mixed version first since that takes longer, then add the plain egg for the outer layer. That holds it all together.
Your daughter now speaks fluently and very confidently, she has improved so much! Time really flies away it's almost november i think i'll make something with pumpkin too, to enjoy the season!
i've been watching you for a long time now and it's so endearing watching your family still 🥺 your daughter is growing up so fast!! it's crazy. my youngest brother is also growing up quickly. it's so bizarre to see them sprout like little trees
Its wonderful how you show us when things don’t quite go to plan. ❤ Its good to show how its ok to make mistakes and not get things right every time. Either was it will still be delicious!
This channel will always be important to me because when I was in the start of my chemotherapy I had extreme anxiety. When I had it I came to this channel to calm me down! Love your channel so much! You’re doing great! ❤️
Simple meals my aunt fanny, you are an amazing cook! Please don't sell yourself short. You husband is very lucky to have a wife 5hat cooks as well as you. Lots of variety, color and nutrition. You get more done , meal wise, in the morning than most of us all day. Im impressed!
You may want to consider purchasing a splatter shield for frying. It's a flat lid made from wire mesh that you place on top of your frying pan while cooking. It catches the splatters while still allowing steam to escape.
@@songindarkness mine went missing in our last move and I keep forgetting to buy a new one. I sure do miss it when I need it though. It's so much easier to put that in the dishwasher than to clean splattered grease off the entire stove, walls, undersides of cupboards, fumehood and floor. Not to mention my clothes and all those tiny burns on my hands and arms.
I am re-watching some of these. I am on a new medicine that takes away most of my appetite, so I have been finding it too much work to cook for myself. But then I just eat snacks and junk. :( But turning some of these old eps on is making me want to cook for the fun of it, and then I will eat better. So thank you. :)
Your video is like a raindrop during the drought 😂 No matter how tired I am, looking your video makes my day a lot !! Love the little extra bits of your family and shopping, it makes the video totally heartwarming ❤️❤️
Everything looked delicious. I don't think I've had fried enoki mushrooms before, but I'd like to try it. Also, thank you for your videos. I used to not like cooking, but I think it was because I found it stressful. Then I started watching your videos. They're so relaxing and fun to watch, and seeing you problem-solve and recover from occasional mistakes made it seem like cooking was something it was okay to not be totally perfect at all the time. It made cooking seem less intimidating. I do more cooking now, and it doesn't stress me as much to try new things. I attribute some of that to your inspiration.
I just Ugh I’m so hungry and your husband is so lucky to have such thought and care put into food for him. You’re a real inspiration to me, you waste nothing and I love the creativity 🙏🏻
I want to tell you how much my family loves your videos! You inspire us to try new things. We found an Asian market in our town and we've tried several foods you've made! Thank you for sharing!
the kimcheese tamagoyaki looks insanely good, i'm gonna have to try it sometime soon!! i've been watching for a couple of years and it's crazy to see how much your daughter has grown. for adults, 2 years may seem like nothing much, but kids are capable of growing a lot in that time. it's also interesting to see the evolution of the kitchen!
What an amazing way to start off the weekend with an Imamu video! x The enoki looks scrumptious, what a creative way to make waffle sandwiches. 😍 The roasted pumpkin is so gorgeous I love the colours and frying pumpkin is something I definitely need to try! 'Out of the pan home run' made me laugh. 😂 The garlic butter shrimp looks delicious. Everything looks absolutely incredible I cannot get enough of it! 👌
This lo-fi version of the Super Mario Odyssey song is awesome! I just recently returned to the US from Japan and fell in love with Washoku cooking and bentos, so watching this has brought back many great memories and inspired me to start making bentos for my children. Thank you for everything you do!
I have watched your videos for over a year now a nd I want to thank you for making them! They are so mindful and reminds me every time how nice it is to make an extra effort with my food and feeding myself well is! Your food always looks delicious too, obviously 🥰🥰🥰
It’s awesome how you know so many different dishes and meals! I always learn something new from your cooking 🙏🏽✨ “GIVE ME YOUR FACE” Is the cutest thing I’ve heard all week hahah, so adorable! ✨
I've never seen the pumpkin being carved from the bottom. I usually do it from the top. Very interesting. I guess there are different ways to do it that I never thought of =)
I genuinely get so excited when I see you’ve posted a new video! I love the simplicity of your cooking, yet it’s all so creative. Your cooking reminds me food can be simple and still so delicious🫶
I love autumn for squish season. Butternut squash or pumpkin makes for a lovely soup or pasta sauce. If you add either with onions, garlic, chicken stock, blend and then add garlic and herb cream cheese. It makes a delicious cheap soup or pasta sauce. I made a butternut squash pasta sauce with pumpkin filled pasta and it was so good. I love all your recipes and have tried some of them myself. So thought I’d share one of my own for the autumn season 😊
Now that I cook it myself, I love pumpkin of any sort. But I find them to be naturally sweet enough for me, so I do not enjoy them with honey or sugar. I love to cook them with a little curry powder to add more savory flavors. Cooked with butter and curry powder is one of my very favorite methods!
I’ve written up the recipe for the ham and cheese waffle sandwich for anyone who wants it (feel free to correct me) Ham and cheese waffle sandwich: ingredients: • 1 packet enoki mushrooms • Potato starch (or cornstarch) • Rice bran oil (or peanut, canola, vegetable, or rapeseed oil as a substitute) • Thinly sliced ham • Cheese of choice • Spinach • Waffles • Olive oil (for dip) Method: Wash the enoki, drain and dry, and add potato starch to the enoki (2tbsp) shake the bowl to cover the enoki with potato starch. In a pan, pour oil to cover the pan base. Once the oil is bubbling, place the coated enoki in the oil and fry until golden brown- don’t forget to cook both sides. (If the oil reacts too heavily, coat with more starch). Once cooked, place the enoki on a drying rack to cool. Add salt to taste and place aside. Lay the waffles out on a baking tray lined with parchment/baking paper. Place squares of your cheese of choice in the dips of the waffles. Place two folded slices of ham on top of the cheese, followed by two spinach leaves, two more squares of cheese and toast in the oven until the cheese has melted to your liking or has a golden crust to it. Once your waffles have toasted, remove from the oven and add the enoki, some more spinach if desired and salt and pepper to taste. Add olive oil for a dip, plate the waffles, and voilà your waffles are ready to eat :))
As always I love your commentary especially when something isn't going right! Just like in all our kitchens but it's nice to see the occasional difficulties you are having. I have to try the Bacon Epi.
This Autumn episode was the best yet! I love eating chestnuts and pumpkin and the carving was so fun. I’ve never seen enoki mushrooms fried in a coating before, they looked so crispy and tasty. Such cosy vibes, love it! ❤🎃🍁🍂🌰❤️
I love your videos, they bring joy to me and my family. I'm sorry you got splattered with grease! I wasn't sure, but thought to share. We use splatter guards to block grease attacks in our home.
I watch your videos after dinner so I don't get hungry, but I always end up looking for a snack anyway 🤣 maybe I should watch before lunch to motivate me into the kitchen...
I love how human Imamu cooks >_< she shows mistakes and that makes video more charming to me. Shows the food don't turn out how u want but works in the end.....plus as usual still looks great haha
Have been watching since you started in 2020 and I sincerely appreciate your videos! Thank you for sharing 🙏🏼 Your food always looks delicious and inspires me in Japanese cooking
My family and I have been making salades recently and we discovered that adding Caesar saus to the lettuce really enhances the flavor! I’d recommend to try it out!
I think this has been one of my favourite ones overall, although I’ll keep saying I don’t think you can get any better and then every time you prove me wrong so thank you for these
As a pregnant woman I swear that waffle sandwich recipe has me suspicious of you! That's a pregnant lady craving if I've ever seen one, and I want one!! Haha
You need to make a cookbook with all these recipes!
I would love an Imamu cookbook!
I would absolutely buy one!
I would buy one! Great idea ❤
I need this in my life so badly
I would so buy that book
Husbando whispering gently to you about the rice and chopsticks while you're in the kitchen is so sweet!

The fried enoki mushrooms looked so good, and sounded so crunchy. I'm gonna try making them 🤤
Ikr.. I'm drooling
I don't even really care for mushrooms and that looks SO good!!

I second this, mine is brilliant I use it all the time! It’s not 100% perfect I find but much better than nothing.
