Interesting video. I have / had a few items and I saw some appealing things... that may go on my 'want' list for next year. Thanks for making this video!
I was mind-blown when you grabbed the two Faber-Castell water cups and squashed them together. I had no bloody idea you could do that with these! It's amazing! Kudos to you for making me run into my bedroom to squash my own Faber-Castell water cups together, like the excited 9-year-old kid that I'm not! This was easily the highlight of my day! 😂
@izzyg8316 ha! Glad my art nerdiness brought some fun energy to your day! Aren’t these cups amazing?! Smashing them together makes painting outside SO easy:) Thanks for watching and for your fun comment-made me smile!😊
@HaveColorWillTravel They truly are! I have one red and one blue and seeing them squashed together reminds me of an ocean sunset. 😊 No, thank YOU for sharing your list of favorite art supplies for this year with us! ❤
A month since you posted....It's always fun to see what people's faves are. Erasers: My fave has got to be the Tombow Mono sanded eraser. The sanded part is very fine so it doesn't disturb the surface of sturdy paper too much. I'm not saying it's for everyone and I use it mostly for tiny smears of ink on cardstock when I'm making cards. Now I do mostly fine art..and it is still a great eraser, but I might be prefer to use a non-sanded and softer eraser. (I do mostly watercolor.) I have every one of the erasers you mentioned except the Brutfuner you mentioned as your new fave. My fave all-around brush is a cat's tongue and the one I fell in love with is the Silver Silk size 6 or 8? It's a synthetic, but like a dagger, it can do a very fine point or easily widen. Thanks and Happy Holidays!
@nancyloomis3046 thanks so much for watching and sharing your faves-I love talking art supplies! I know of the sanded eraser you mentioned, but I’ve not tried one. I can see how it would be useful with watercolor. When I need to get rid of a mishap with watercolor I pull out a Magic Eraser, the cleaning tool-works wonders! I also use Magic erasers to thoroughly clean palettes now and then. More often than not I have a very dirty palette-makes great colors! But occasionally I give myself a fresh start, and that cleaning tool helps me do the job:) I have a cat tongue brush as well and love it! Very versatile. Have a wonderful and creative rest of 2024!🥳

@izzyg8316 red and blue!!! Now I’m jealous!! That’s so fun!!❤️💙
@HaveColorWillTravel I thought two colors would help me differentiate between the dirty water cup and the clean one, especially at the beginning. 😄
