We have a silage yard like ye do at home and the way we compact the sides is to put as much as u can on the edge without spilling it and then we use a dual to compact it and do a safer job so we don’t go so close in 15 I’ve yet to gain full responsibility on the pit by my dad and we have a 412s and if ye look at one just to give you knowledge it can’t push a full load

times have surely changed, my brother and i started drawing silage (on the road) when we were 12 + 13 of course this was back in the early 80s when things were not as strict, we worked for our neighbor he did contract work, i did it for 6 summers fortunately we never had any serious accident we were lucky because the tractors back then were smaller and the maintenance on them was little or none, i remember driving one with brakes that barely worked. The worst incident i remember happening was the trailer coming out of the hitch as i pulled out while it was tipping, because the door got stuck did not open,Unfortunately it was on a downward slope and the trailer ended up pushing the tractor forward, ended up jack knifing but broke nothing , the hydrolic hose was stretched but did not brake.with some help from a Hough payloader we were able to bring the trailer back down. good times lol

Great job Phil , solid video once again , lovely bit of drone action in the middle with the music and some nice efx there like the trailer reverse tipping . Top skills out of you to handle it all that’s a shame about ur bro his attitude is not great , most young lads would give their right arm to get drawing in ffs. Maybe if he got a taste of the real world he’d change his tune . Could be just hard for him being youngest n yourself n your sister already top pilots . I’d advise him to grasp the good opportunity he has there . Another top operation from #teamstewart 🎩hats off 👊💥

Not often we get to see the job from the viewpoint of the man making the pit. It’s a thankless job. The loader man for our contractor won’t allow a load to be tipped until he’s happy, no matter how much pressure is on. Doesn’t work for everybody. When you say that you start filling a load from the back, what’s the reasoning for that? I’m sure you’ve talked about it before but I’d like a refresher course please. Keep up the good work Phil.
