What did you run in the 1/8th? I ran a 7.43 with a E303, Cobra intake, aluminum GT40 heads and a 150 shot in the 1/8th back in the 90's. Still have the car but don't race it anymore.
You’re right man...back in the day it was all about the B or E cams occasionally someone had some money to throw at a lunati. I'm doing a 302 .030 over in a nissan hardbody. The engine was donated to me by my neighbor. I heard the engine run but still tore it down for a rebuild. Very good condition. I'm doing the mild hand porting on GT40P heads, roller rockers, link bar roller lifters, Lunati 51027LUN cam (which has been discontinued) Eddie intake, 600 holley DP, MSD street fire and distributor, 303 top loader trans. (Wish I had a top loader 4 speed.) About everything I got has been donated or bartered for as a budget build. I told my mustang buddies what I was doing and they started donating and trading stuff around to contribute to the cause. I can't wait to get back on it and get it running. My shop air compressor died and I didn't have a way to finish the porting on the heads. I just got me a good compressor and I'm ready to get other work out of the way and get back on it!
@@motorman111jld Brew has had problems with cheapo roller rockers, and had to junk some. Not a place to cheap out. Comment on his new video for a recommendation. I've run 303s from 390s and they're virtually indestructible. They're heavy gears so you MUST have a great shifter... or else.
@@hotrodray6802 they're not cheap ones. I forgot what brand exactly but not cheap ones... that's what I've been told about the top loaders. I wanted a 4 speed but man I could easily do a 5 speed for the price of a 4 speed. I found the 303 top loader for $100 from a guy that did a 5 speed swap on his 67 mustang. His story was it was his first car and he was restoring it with plans on rebuilding the transmission then wanted to go 4 speed but decided to go 5 speed becauseof cost. I can kinda believe it because he had it cleaned up like new and all boxed up and stuff. I definitely want a good Shifter. I hate a sloppy shifter. I'm wanting a Hurst Master shift but it's gonna have to wait till I get to that point.
The vintage footage was great. That was my era. You're right, back in the day those extra few horsepower either helped you win or lose. My 91 I had in 95 was a blast. Headers, CAI.. thought I was on top of the world! It was a quick car back in the day. 5 speed was a blast. Girls loved the car. Now I'm 47, married, with 2 kids...and take Flomax. Time flies!
Back in the day for me were those same days! Had a '91 in '95. A 0.030 over motor with E Cam, Cobra upper/lower, full headers, ported tb, FMS 24lb injectors and computer, FMS roller rockers, twisted wedge heads, keith black hypereutectic pistons with .0200 popup (I think about 10.5:1) and a 100 shot of funny gas. Funny thing was the plugs would not clear the pistons because of the twisted wedge design, so I had to cut a "fire channel" through that part of the pistons lol She was a beast! Miss that thing. Wish I had been smart enough to have taken good pictures. Don't have a single photo of that car/motor :(
Tried and true setup I ran about 20yrs ago was stock bottom end, f cam, gt40p heads, 1.72 crane rocker arms, cobra intake and a 65mm throttle body. Setup went 12.3@113 on 100% stock suspension. If I had done k member etc. It would have been in the 11s
put a b cam in my 83 fox, that had a 87 fuel injected 5.0 (wanted a stock roller engine) but converted back to carburetion. (the carb shop) modified the stock 1983 holley 4 bbl. This car ran very well and loved the sound. This was all done back when all this stuff first came out. I would see an article in a magazine and they were swapping a 8.8 for a 7.5 or adding 5 lug to a fox body. And I had just done it weeks before. i still have that car today. bought it back in 84.
I had a B303 cam in my 92 automatic. We put 351 w heads. We fly cut the pistons in the car. Isky makes the tools to do it. Cobra intake and 4:10 gears. 3000 stall. Car ran like a bat out hell. Miss that car. What a blast. Love the sound of that cam
I had a b cam . Absolutely love it . Went from stock rockers to 1.6 rockers to 1.7 rockers . On totally stock car . Love love it . Switch to an E cam . Not even close for my set up . Should of stayed with the B. BTW you will make more power. Not much but you will . Once I ported my my T B and went to 73 C&L MAF . You felt it even more . This was 20 plus years ago. If I had to order a cam today. Not sure I would get it but if a got a car that already had a b cam . I keep it there .
My foxbody has a simple iron gt-40 set up with B-303 cam and supporting mods on my factory 92' short block. My car dynoed at the same rwhp as most TFS, Anderson, and comp cammed cars with aluminum heads and same kind of mods.
I am a proud B Cam Mafia member. My car may not be fast but she gets a lot of smiles from the OG folks at red lights. I could drop a boatload of money in the engine and still get beat by a turbo Civic.
HaHa! My old C10 truck that idles smooth would hurt your feelings at a red light and it weighs 4500 lbs! That lumpy shit means nothing. These lumpy LS trucks don’t know what hit them from a red light while my old turd idles smooth af at 750 rpm. 😂😂😂
I have an E cam in my 5.0 ranger and I love the sound and performance. It's a 5speed also with 1.7 rollers 190cc aluminum heads, gt40 intake. It's a fun ride
B cam is the sound that hooked be a long time ago. I’ve been kicking it around but think I’m gonna do the gt40p heads and b cam. And a wet kit 75-100 shot it’ll be a neck breaker 0-60 with new posi and 4.11’s but I’m trying to get in the 12’s I think that setup with slicks should have me covered
The B cam deserves respect because of the Lobe Separation Angle. Plus it's great for a stock piston to valve clearance. People think lift is the best..no. that can kill airflow velocity. You want a tight cam to keep cylinder pressures up. Not alot of bleed off.
@Denny an engine loses pressure through overlap; the moment at which the exhaust valve and intake valve are open at the same time. This is part of what’s called dynamic compression. When the the piston is moving to top dead center position there is “bleed off” from the valves being partially open. Less cylinder pressure contained in the cylinder, the less horsepower that’s contained in compression to make said horsepower. A “tighter cam overlap” means less time the valves are left open to bleed off cylinder pressure. The down side to this can be rougher idle, less power down low in off idle operation due to low intake velocity. But the trade of is more of a 2 stroke mind set. When velocity increases and cylinder pressure builds, the power comes on much harder in the desired rpm. The desired rpm is mostly dictated by the camshaft duration. Which is also dependent on multiple factors like total cubic inches of engine, intake manifold runner length, cylinder head cross sectional area of the ports, the valve sizes ect. Most people just through off the self parts together expecting the best performance, but fail to realize, everything works together. Example, Throwing the largest throttle body doesn’t automatically mean more power. Everything in the intake system for air flow is a series of convergent and divergent ducts creating low and high pressure areas to allow for maximum velocity of air without choking off total useable CFM to make power in the desired RPM range. So having to large of a throttle body can actually mean lower airflow velocity into the cylinder, creating a loss of torque in lower rpm. Remember, for street cars, midrange power is desired for quick acceleration from low speeds. This is why smaller displacement engines, without going All out race heads and intake can leave people in the dust on the street. Horsepower is just TORQUE X RPM divided by 5252. The best street car is having the most TORQUE that’s accessible from lower RPM to make the best power in the higher RPM range
@Denny yeah I’d say your right. Every N/A car I’ve personally seen that’s ridiculously fast, advanced the camshaft 2 to 4 degrees mechanically. So the intake valve opening sooner would take advantage of the most vacuum drawling in air from the piston going down, On the intake stroke
I had a 93 Gt with B303 cam with GT40 iron heads with GT40 manifolds , exhaust , pulleys and 3.55 gears , Pro-M mass air meter 77mm ....it was good enough to take out corvettes with me driving ...loved the chop sound of the B303 cam .
Diggin the ole school footage brother.. they can have these out the box 400 plus cars give me those old torque monster 5.0 fox bodies all day. You had to build your shit not buy it. Another reason so many wreck vids on youtube. In experience drivers with 400 hp under their right foot. Back then you broke in little over 200 and built your way up and your handling of the power increased with the gains in power. All that added up to less number of dummies in the ditch. 😆
Jamie Tyree I wish I could post the video of my coupe and the zo6 I put a fender on that piece of shit . I pulled up to a light and didn’t rev or anything . Light change and he punched it. I was on Mickey radials ... I spun but was with it enough to Peddle it . I got out pretty good it was a fender all said and done . 5.0 liters vs what ever is in year or two old zo6 .
@@allenjay5907 Right on! Would love to have seen it. 5.0's are no joke. I used to ask the Chevy boys at the shop I worked at "Do you know how to make a Chevy run the absolute best and fastest it's ever gonna run?". They would say no. I'd tell em, "go to a junkyard and grab a Ford emblem and stick it on that bowtie emblem. It'll slang a rod trying to outrun that Ford!" Lmao. Talk about pissing some people off, it would do just that lol.
They aren't bad for the money, especially in the used market. There is something to be said for the 30 years of technology and research that's been gained in the valvetrain department though. Just look at valve spring tech in the past 5-10 years. But for most people an alphabet cam will be just fine. Really most just want the lumpy idle and a b cam or e cam is pretty hard to beat for idle sound.
I got a stage 2 comp cams (XE270HR) so when I installed it, it made a difference but like you said, I sacrificed power at low RPM but gain at high. But once I installed valve springs I recovered that low RPM power or probably gain more than stock. But I definitely love the sound of B cam, a friend of mine he did a combo of gt40's with ported valves and valve springs and an elderblock intake with a 70mm TB all that combo was installed with the B cam and I haven't heard another foxbody chopin like that one. Forgot to mention it had a shorty BBKs headers H pipe and flow masters 40 series
Did you pull any quarter miles w the b cam? What is the difference between the two cams? Is it that much of a difference? I'm new to all this so that's why I ask a lot of questions.
Andrews car sounds wicked and it gets down! Yeah those old school bfg drag radials...they hooked ok until that buck fitty shot came in!! Hahaha. I bought a crane 2040 which is an E cam back in maybe 2002 2003 for about 21.00 lol filled up their 1995 gt with gas at and a pack of newports..im still running it today. I have boost and afr 165 heads on a stock bottom end and will upgrade to possibly an Fcam when refresh the motor.
@@mikejohnson699To be fair the coyote mustangs of today are heavy fat pigs. I used to have a 2012 GT but I sold it after I built my 73 with a 347 stroker. I didn't even want to bother with the 2012 after that because it was slower and I figured why make payments on a car that I don't enjoy driving as much as the car I built myself. My 2012 GT weighed about 3,650 lb and my 73 mustang weighs about 3,200 lb. My 73 makes more power and is lighter and I can work on it with basic tools without having to deal with any computer crap too.
A lot of people tend to underestimate the power of those engines in those lightweight cars. A Fox Mustang with a well-built 302 or 351W will spank new Mustangs and Camaros all day long. Unless of course you're going against a Cobra or ZL1 then you'll need some more cubes or forced induction to compete.
Don't forget some of the practical considerations, like the oil pump/distributer drive gear (this is where the letter cams are compatible with the stock oil pump/distributer drive gear, aftermarket cams may not necessarily be forcing you to run a brass oil pump/distributer drive gear and replace it often). Also you need to consider intended usage (cruising/street-strip/hardcore pure race type (drag vs autocross vs road course)) as well as emissions compliance (for cars intended to be licensed for use on public roads).
Them GT40 heads are good for nitrus. You got different heads for different set ups. Turbos like to flow so a head with a good exhaust port accommodates that. Nitrus likes to dwell in the combustion chamber. There's were the 40's come in to play. Seen it all to many times were a nitrus car with JTay 40:s knocks it out of the park. It's one of 50 Tussians favorite set ups. You got Andrews, seen that guy on fox cast with a similar set up and hit over 500hp. And ya, he had 40's.
I love that even when we're over a quarter century removed from the last 5.0 Mustang rolling off the assembly line, the aftermarket cam choices still make for awesome videos. What an awesome era that was.
I had an 89 gt in high school back in the late 90's trick flow top end kit & 3.73's.. they were all over over town and the most fun car you could have back in the day.. Races from the local lot every weekend..
I know someone whos had a foxbody coupe with an E303, old school SVO aluminum heads and a GT40 intake. While I have the TFS 1 cam, GT40X aluminums and GT40 intake. Really not that much of a difference in performance. Hell look at people like Neomustangs running stock Ford parts and stock cams for a turbo setup. That should say enough for itself. If you were looking to build a stroker motor like what AV Boys did with their Grey Mare build then I can see camshaft selection becoming a huge role to match everything else you have and run at its best.
I absolutely love the alphabet cams. I ran an E cam in my ‘85 GT and it sounded great. I had a ‘90 GT with an F cam and a gear up under it and it ran good. I just finished a HCI on my ‘89 coupe and went with the F cam and I love the way it runs and sounds. I know there’s better heads and better cams out there, but I love the old school parts, the parts I grew up with. That combo in my coupe will beat cat backed coyotes all day long and cost 30k less and look a hell of a lot better.
I love fox bodies man but you're not getting a nice fox for 30k less than even a brand new coyote. Matter of fact I can find decent 11-12 coyotes for LESS than what fox bodies sell for right now (nice ones). I love fox mustangs would love to have another but the rocketing prices of them is starting to throw out the whole budget minded argument lol. I paid 16500 for a bolt on 108k 07 gt500 couple months back. I just cant justify paying close to that for a nice fox. Maybe you can find them for good prices still but everywhere I look ppl want 10k for shit and 15 and up for nice foxes.
@@michaelharris748You were not looking hard enough. I got my 85 fox Mustang 3 years ago for 1200 bucks. After pulling a 302, T5 and an 8.8 axle from the junkyard I cleaned up all the parts and rebuilt the 302 into a 347 with ported GT40 iron heads and an F303 cam. I haven't dyno tested the combo but it had enough power to beat a 2015 Camaro SS. I have just a little over 8 grand into the car including the price of the car.
Back in the day I bought a GT40 crate engine from an ad in MM&FF, I’m old can’t remember the vendor. It had GT40 heads and a B-cam from the factory. I put a GT40 intake on it and shorty headers. It was the shit back in the early 90’s. I still have the car and well it’s on it’s 4th engine 5th if you include stock one. 302, GT40 crate engine, 306 with a x-cam, 331 and currently a dart 347. Both the 331 and 347 have custom grind bullet cams.
You have any more OG footage from back in the day? I was just a baby when the aero cars first came out, and all my older buddies talk about how many were in their highschool parking lot and going street racing late at night.
B303 is an awesome upgrade for a stock engines sound. I had a b303. Victor jr heads, cobra intake. And a 3:73 rear in my 86 GT. It was a great daily driver. Little car would scream.
I was wondering what carb he had bc one video showed it and I was thinking way too much carb... Then u said 650. Gave me a smile and you confirmed my thought. 650 is plenty enough for n/a. Wish I would have found this channel sooner. No lie bro. Your straight forward with all aspects. Not many of us
Man O Man that’s a good topic. Coming from building 100’s pushrod there is nothing like a alphabet cam we always recommend them to customers who don’t wanna spend crazy money or want to change a whole lot. They are good clean cheap well built and good sounding cams
My 85 GT 5-speed was bone stock, other than 4.10 gears and an old 289 F4B intake I had laying around, as the stock intake on those cars have ridiculously tiny ports. I tuned the stock Holley carb too. That car was a lot of fun.
I ran E cams for a long time and surprisingly have run stock cams until today. what you say is very true, for stock bottom end cars, they dont make much of a diffrence, sound nice, but not much diffrence
I have always loved the sound of the B cam. Richard Holdener's favorite Cam seems to be good to for a stock bottom end 302 with heads, intake and exhaust.
Dynoed a b303 cam with that being the only change. 15hp was the gain to the wheels. Car had gt40 upper/ lower. Headers, off roads. Mufflers, larger mass and th- body. Under drive with 3.55 gears
Fox bodies always run good with spray if you're out here in a fox still running a 5.0 the only way to really compete is with spray or FI, I raced my buddy's 331 stroker, dart heads, vic jr intake 750 carb 12.1 compression stick car and my trans am with a cam, 4k yank converter and long tubes gave him the business
I completely agree! Love the sound of the "B"!!! My 88 T-Top is stock other than the "cat back" installed 12 years ago...not great with my Speed Density, but enough tuning...maybe!
I have a 88 gt with stock engine..i added power pulleys and removed stock fan clutch set up.i installed electric fan set up..car seemed to have more pep than my friends 90 gt with 75mm throttle body.cold air intake tube and offroad xpipe..he lost torque..i believe the power pulleys and electric fan would be a cheap add on for someone who wants to feel a difference in bottom end torque...your video is great and straight to the point.
I love seeing tht footage from back in the good ole days. You should show us some more!! Tht would be cool as shit!! Loving tht Lightning and the green car!!!!
Ran a B303 camshaft back in HS. 91' LX Coupe. 5.0 basically stock, with the B303 and full exhaust. Inevitably ended up with a Panhandle Performance 306, EFI->Carb swap (yes, people really used to do that), with ported heads and IIRC a Z303 camshaft. We weren't UA-cam experts back then. Unfortunately sold the car for pennies back in the Obama era after I purchased a Z06 Corvette. Like you said, it really was all about the 'sound'. There was nothing like a cammed up 5.0, 10-15 years ago.
Excellent video. Been saying this for a while. Everyone yells custom cam, they’re really expensive and a stock bottom 302 isn’t going that far over 300-320whp. For the money you’re spending on a custom cam vs a 100$ used B, TFS1 etc. If you wanna call FTI and spend 1000$ on a custom cam and valve train you can, just money that could be better spend somewhere else or left in your account with a stock bottom end.
I’m new. I have a 94 cobra. I put a b cam in and changed the heads to Ford x2 heads. Bbk shortys & h pipe. Bbk 70mm and cold air. Didn’t gain much from stock. Under 300 hp
I put a Trick Flow stage 2 in my car stock bottom end GT 40 heads, tons of people told me it wouldn't work but it been chopping for a few years now lol people always hate on the letter cams though I just chose to go a different route.
I installed a E303 cam and TFS valve springs for the stock E7 heads. People said it wouldn't make a diff. It sure did pulls harder in every rpm and still runs 14.6 afr cruising and 12.5 WOT. plus the idle sounds fucking fantastic great lil street upgrade.
The last bit about back in the day was so true. Ten hp could cost a win and every little bit mattered. I spent days making my car lighter and stock looking. I went as far as shortened battery cables and thinner wires if possible. The few people that saw my car on the scales couldn't believe it was so light and looked so stock. It won me a lot of money winning by a bumper. It was funny when I went to sell the car I had boxes of parts where I took stuff off and put a gutted part in it's place 😆 I got tired of trying to explain it to idiots wanting to buy a fast car and decided to keep it.
Looking into a 50 Shoebox with a 3/4 cam in it and came across this video in a search somehow. Love your 93 Cobra! I used to own #41 off the assembly line!
I need to get back to finishing the last nickle and dime parts on my dads 347 B cam motor w/ 1.73's. It's an interesting build and should make some modest power.
Great video. I know it is quite old now, but there is truth in what you say. I design camshafts, and I've run the model with the b cam, f cam, e cam, x cam, comp xe 274, anderson n41, TFS stage 1, and a custom grind i designed for trickflow tw170 heads, small tube headers, with a holley systemax 2. All are relatively comparable in hp, and tq. I can tell you each is better than the rest in a given setup. The comp has the advantage of the most aggressive ramp rate of the other ots cams listed. Like you, I could go on forever talking this stuff. My friends call me a motor nerd.
I ran a Crane 2030 (.533/.544) with 1.72's (!) stock heads and valves prob saved me. Should have done 2031 for more top end lol... Then again, I was the crazy kid that also bolted on a blower, and then sprayed it with 125 shot. Motor lasted from brand new till two years ago, got tired/blown head gasket. I'd rather be lucky than good any day.
The B-cam is good. How ever the E-cam is good as well. The E cam plus 5 speed of course, has a stronger mid range which is good for street range, and also add a little extra compression and good flowing heads (for me back in the day Would Products Windsor Jr) will make up for the smaller cam across the range and also in the upper range as well. I have surprised plenty of B-CAM guys back in the day. Both cams are great. I'm just more partial to the E-cam. Fly cutting pistons is standard operating procedure for me. Plus right now I'm running a lunati 51014 cam and World Products Windsor Sr. which are milled down to 57cc. Fly cutting is a must and also works.
@@BREW2LFOXBODY that's another reason that I've forgotten to mention as well. I like chop in my idle but drivability is very important to me in a street car.
Wish still had fox, had a E cam with GT40s in my 88 with C4, that car was so easy and fun to work with. Now I have a 97 cobra with fricken 4 cams, everything is hard to get at and more expensive to play with and when they break. Your channel has me thinking about finding a Lx or GT and get back at it like I used to.
Back in 2011 i ran a expo stock bottom end with the mighty B cam with procomp 190cc cylinder heads that had 202 intake valves. 160 exhaust valve and ran 1.7 rockers whitch bumps the lift from 480 to 510 and .5 to the duration and later changed to the E cam whitch is 498 lift but with 1.7 rockers bumps the lift to 528 and both cleared the untouched piston with room to spare ..with both set up i ran a victor jr single plane with a 700 cfm double pump a C4 trans with a worked valve body a 3200 converter and 373s out back and ran on motor with the b cam 13.71 was the best and on a 150 shot ran 11.40..with the Ecam ran a best of 13.57 and on the same shot run 11.33
That is a 4.6 pi 2v totally different car. They have much better heads than what the fox mustangs came with so a cam upgrade is going to be alot more noticeable. What he meant by not tell a difference is on a stock head stock intake 5.0 and not being able to tell the difference between a b cam on that motor or a fancy custom ground cam.
Also over the years I've had several foxbodys with multiple alphabet cams. The f cam in my opinion is the best for carb applications, my car didn't lose much low End torque and picked up a lot more pull above 3k rpm. Just my 2cents
I had a 93 Cobra with a B cam, the standard headers/h-pipe/MAF/CAI/UDP's and 3.55 gears, and it destroyed just about everyone I raced back in the day. As far as naturally aspirated goes, it was a beast. By today's standards? Eh, no. But oh the old days.....
Love the content bro keep it bringing it... Oh on a side note those gold wheels aren’t so bad after all now that I’ve seen them few more time on camera...
You can fit a trick flow stage 3 in a stock motor. Had a 93 notch with a 95 roller motor. Had stock bottom end ported e7 heads edelbrock victor intake 750 quick fuel carb 1.7 roller rockers. Had a built c4 5500 stall 5.13 gears. Twisted that car to 7500 for 2 season. Did have arp hardware holding it together. Crank broke at 8000. Car ran a best of 6.93 in the 1/8 th.

You mentioned that people put B cams in manuals, and E cams in autos. Can you elaborate on that? Because I have an E303 in my manual right now. And i love it! Just curious of why people would use an E303 for auto?
The B cam is a little rowdy without a stall convertor and some gear. A loose convertor and 3.73 and up gears are a great match. The E cam has better bottom end. The F and X cams are more mid and top end in a 302, but will be nice in a stroker or 351W based combo with heads

Yes sir. That combo runs good, sounds good, and drives perfect like a stock car

I just picked up a B cam on FB marketplace for $30. Super psyched to install. :)
That’s the best thing about those cams, still very abundant and easy on the wallet 👌
This right here is the only reason I would use a letter cam.
Brendon did you install that cam yet?
put a b cam in my 83 fox, that had a 87 fuel injected 5.0 (wanted a stock roller engine) but converted back to carburetion.
Went with my b cam and gt40ps because of your videos, no regrets. Just a convertible I cruise around in, sounds great
Well said sir, and enjoyed the old school footage! Ive made great power on a stock bore/stroke 302 with an E cam, and the chop chop is intoxicating

B Cam, Gt40 3 bars, explorer intake on my car. Pure early 2000s goodness. Wish i was still 21 lol
What does your age have to do with anything?
My foxbody has a simple iron gt-40 set up with B-303 cam and supporting mods on my factory 92' short block. My car dynoed at the same rwhp as most TFS, Anderson, and comp cammed cars with aluminum heads and same kind of mods.

Don’t you have a video of you installing a b cam brew2l
Amen, the f cam does work. Mine made good power with it and a 7675. It surprised the tuner.
Exactly, true talk ,nailed it perfectly 👍🏻👌🏼
You got to know when to lift, and when to hammer down lol. And as you said, most don't know that or aren't taught that valuable lesson.

Agreed
Like Brew said the B cam worked then it still works .

No way. No disrespect bro, but they weren't racing
I beat coyotes in my 94 cobra with a bcam 373 gears a tune and a stock intake upgraded internals it’s possible
Bingo 🙏

I prefer the drivability of the E cam honestly 👌
@@BREW2LFOXBODY that's another reason that I've forgotten to mention as well. I like chop in my idle but drivability is very important to me in a street car.

I put stage 1 XE262AH comp cams in my 2002 Mustang GT and definitely felt a difference.
I'm sporting the b cam with cobra RR ported and polished e7 heads with bigger valves and an explorer intake ect, ect. It does need to be tuned tho.
Love the content bro keep it bringing it... Oh on a side note those gold wheels aren’t so bad after all now that I’ve seen them few more time on camera...
Thanks brother
You can fit a trick flow stage 3 in a stock motor. Had a 93 notch with a 95 roller motor. Had stock bottom end ported e7 heads edelbrock victor intake 750 quick fuel carb 1.7 roller rockers. Had a built c4 5500 stall 5.13 gears. Twisted that car to 7500 for 2 season. Did have arp hardware holding it together. Crank broke at 8000. Car ran a best of 6.93 in the 1/8 th.
👀 Jesus
@@BREW2LFOXBODY always wanted to put better heads on it but it ran damn good. It helped that the car was gutted and weighed 2700
yes, even richard holderner said a tfs stage 2 fits ...
Any cam will fit if your valves are small enough.
Rockin' thumbnail! Looks like your channel really gives you means to be creative. You do a great job with the thumbnail. No doubt people's first impression has an impact on weather or not they click. Keep killin' it bro!
Thanks Mike! I appreciate that brother. I worked my butt off on this thumbnail 🥵
@@BREW2LFOXBODY I don't know what all it entails to edit and produce these videos but I suspect most people have no idea how much work really goes into them. Much respect bro.🙏
It's 30 year old tech. Yes I had one in my 89 years ago and I thought I was fast. The powerband with the cam is very narrow and unless you get one for free, pass it by
I just installed a B cam. .040 bore, 1.6 scorpion rockers, MAC 1 5/8 shorty headers, 2.5” h pipe and borla mufflers
I have a H/C/I on a built bottom end with flat tops and Im running in N/A with an Anderson B21 cam. Anderson cams works well for mild builds.
You would be surprised what how big of a cam you can put on a stock piston with a 2.02 valve. Currently running a .588 lift
Hi what is the duration and rest of specs on this cam?
Ah the memories...B cam...GT40 top end....Mac or Flowmaster exhaust...3.73s...M&H Racemasters.
The B is still a great cam all these years later. Who knew right?
Heck yeah! I have had a B cam in my 95 Cobra for almost 20 years I love it.
I had many of these cars back in the 90s . You are absolutely right on everything you said! I do love the sound of that b cam tho!!! For a stock fox body " 410s and full length headers" makes it so fun to drive
