@@johnmontag this is true but you cant say that Apache and the rest weren't selling boats to drug traffickers and taking drug money as payment for boats lol.

Doesn't get any better than an Apache; regardless of size. Great company, great people & great boats,,,,,,,😎. I was a huge Cigarette fan up til 2000; before the company went with step hulls. Loyalties switched after that. Apache has my undivided attention. I still can't rule out a pre-2000 Top Gun; special place in my heart for that boat, especially the Kevlar ones! I have also grown VERY FOND of the Apache 36' Warpath. Can't go wrong with either one. Hopefully I'll make the right decision this Fall?
I run small V bottoms. They are a ton safer and you can still make them beat cats. V bottoms are much more predictable !!! Long live the V bottom Apache !!
@@JRotten okayyy. Maybe they didn’t shit were they ate but I can tell you Ben Kramer certainly wasn’t building them from jail… wait how did he end up in jail? Yuse ur brane buddeee
Somebody should make a movie about Ben Kramer. Between powerboat racing, drug running, murder and trying to escape prison in a helicopter, this guy had one interesting life (I say "had" since anything interesting in his life pretty much ended after the whole "trying to escape prison in a helicopter" thing.)
a movie about don aranow was made (travolta was decent!) and they hacked that, what makes what Ben something worth more? Aranow had created companies that produced products that live on, forget about Kramer, he was awesome in such a different way.
The Apache 41 is still the best offshore boat after all these years. In the future, I'm going to build a 42 foot offshore boat that will be the best deep-v offshore boat of all time. When it's complete, I will post it here on UA-cam.
don aranow(travolta was born for this! ) was so much more than the movie “hacked” his life. Easy for a quick dip, and not get that man’s character across. We all got short changed, when a story is sold like that, over and over by sub par entertainment. Truly a great marine story was missed b/c noone said stop or hold on a minute !
getting on and off the throttles is an attempt to "REDUCE THE LOADS" when the drives and props enter the water ....if left wfo the shafts would snap or motors would break cranks...so they "work the sticks" as we say .....also why we have a dedicated throttleman.....thats his job to take care of the drives and motors so they last the whole race.
