You can't please everyone, so just do the best you can. You're doing a great job. You're parents love you even more, if that's possible, for stepping up to the plate and taking over their responsibilities for the time they're away. I pray that they're home soon. I am beyond happy that ur brother & sister have u. My cousin just passed away at 68yrs old & his ex wife is a drug addict homeless & he has a seventeen year old daughter with no parents. She lives in another state from the rest of our family & I can't even wrap my head around what/how she is feeling. In NO way does it diminish what ur going through bcuz it's all perspective, but im so glad u have each & can live somewhat of a quote unquote normal life. I have to cut urself slack about living ur life now bcuz part of the normalcy is them doing sports hanging with friends on the weekend. I truly believe in my heart ur parents would want that for all 3 of u. I've also learned that there is no perfect/doing it all, I've learned to prioritize what's most important & do that first & peck away everyday at least important things. Now I'm not so stressed & I'm way more happy. Ur a Rock Star! ✨️

Hi Savanna I'm the same age as your parents I have a disabled son in Utah prison, I applied with ACLJ they are attorneys for justice because my son's civil rights and many other inmates rights are being violated. Count the little blessings in life and I wish I had friends to come and check on me, even if I didn't ask, they only call me when they need money I had to put a stop to it, anyway hang in there, you are amazing and doing more than great. God has your back. 😊
It's always funny when the justice system is suddenly corrupt when your family is in prison for being a criminal
As a parent and grandparent myself, I can guarantee, your parents would definitely want you to move on❤

I feel like your Mom and Dad wants you to live your life to the best that makes you happy and if you get married before they get out you could always have a second wedding when they get out so that your mom and dad could be at your wedding it can still be special because they will be part of it to see you walk down the aisle so don't feel guilty it's all going to work out just hold on to Jesus Christ you are so strong I know it's hard sweetie but just take one day at a time and everything will work out!!! Love you, girl. You are a roll model for me and so many others. Thank you!

Yes that is what your doing,going through grieving because you have to do it. Your parents will not think that way ,they want you to have your own life, I'm a parent of grown kids and if I was in there shoes I would want my son and daughter to keep living

I'm a bonus mom. Me and my husband and I first started dating when he was 14 months old. So I'm not gonna say it was easy, but it wasn't bad because he was young. With his kids being older, I think it makes it harder. But I think as time goes along, his kids will LOVE you. There's not much advice, really, but just know you be yourself and keep up the great work with what you are doing with Gray and Chloe. The long distance part I haven't experienced that part but I would just say try to make time for you and him when you can. (From Prattville, AL) RTR!

🙌🙌. My mother went to state prison near state college pa. .. she needed help for mental illness, but she was locked up for 5 years. She went in a strong, confident, independent woman, the person who came out was a zombie I didn’t recognize & it’s been 5 or so years and she’s still trying to find herself, I’ve got to play a mother role to make sure things are dealt with, but she’ll never be the same. 😢. ❤. I love your perspective lately. Love to you and your family, they deserve freedom
You are awesome in how you word things. Most of my life growing up being the 5 th of 6 kids. I felt like I wasn't wanted by my mom an I'm thankful I didn't let it make me like her. I feel over my life I try to be the best me so I can be the best for others. Life has been super hard lot of time but with God being first in my life no matter how others do I've been able to do more that needs to be done in everyday living . You are a great inspiration for me dealing with 2:sisters older than me that have really life threatening issues that are bringing them down an they want try to do the best for themselves. Both of them have mental health issues too .

Savannah you need to bring up the fact of Martha Stewart only got 10 months for her Securities fraud, and she only served five months in a minimum security facility, and the other five in her home. If she can do that as well known in high profile as she is, why can your parents not. I think and feel they have served enough time in jail. They need to be home with her family so that they can start earning an income to pay back whatever they need to pay back if anything at all.

I understand why physicians prescribe medications but when it comes to mental health, It is so important to check your levels first. Vitamin b levels (not just b12, but b2,3 &6) and deficient vitamin D with K2 is linked to depression. Magnesium glycinate is also amazing to help. Do physicians tell us this? Nope. They just bandaid it with brain altering medications that have side effects and literally change your brain chemistry making it harder to live when you do get off.
I’m so thankful Savannah trusted her intuition and tried natural remedies first. It is what I preach daily. I’ve been on medications for 6+ years and know the benefits and negatives to both (being on and being off) and being off is the best feeling ❤

I think you cant worry too much about your parents feeling like youre moving on with out them. Its your life and you cant put it on hold for anyone. You are important and your needs and wants are important so put yourself first in the case of getting married and having kids when you want. Even if it is sad that they arent there with you.

I think you are doing great work with prison change. I will pray for your meeting with your Governor of Tennessee. Even if the guy deals with PTSD then there is the problem of getting a job. With background checks, it is hard. I have been in prison and agree we should pay for our crime, but there has to be a better way for nonviolent crimes. Society would have been better off me keeping my good job and paying off what I embezzled. Yes, it was so wrong and something I will always regret, but should a person with a record pay with their life because getting a job, a place to live, etc. is almost impossible. No, they shouldn't. I am blessed with the people around me and their support, but so many people dont have that and end back in prison. So what you are doing is so great and it will make a change!

Every State has issues woth Correctional. We need to reform it for sure. To many in both with petty crime charges. The workers are under paid, under stress and do take it out on the men and women
