- There is a new event coming to Fallout 76 in the fall of 2024. The new event is called Milepost Zero and Mischief Night is coming back to Fallout 76. We go over the news of what it is and what we know about it as of right now.

As a settlement builder who only goes out into the world to collect things to display at my CAMP, this news of caravan outposts makes me feel that the devs HAVE been listening to us CAMP builders this whole time. They let actions speak louder than words in the sense that it seems like a stealth addition.
They are always listening and watching the comments. They really do care for the community but just can't always so the cards they are working on. 🤘
For years I've talked about getting rooms in the Whitesprings, making it a hub for player vendors. I hope this is where this outpost idea is going.
I would love it something like this happened 🤘
Hoping they raise the camp budget a bit too... I wanna place so many items in my camp but everything just eat up my budget like crazy 😢
As an enthusiast camp builder it deeply saddens me to say they most likely will never increase camp budget. They just increased the camp budget cost of a bunch of items which really pissed of some people. Their reasoning was that they wanted to bring those items in line with other similar items. Instead of lowering the cost of some items, they increased the cost of others. That is a pretty good indication that we're stuck with this budget.
Also just want to share a tip that I learned over the years.
Don't try to have a jack of all trades camp.
Having a camp with a bunch of planted food, water, resource collectors, turrets, special boosters and display cases will seriously limit what you can build.
If you dont have resources collectors and a bunch of generators you wont need any turrets either which basically saved up at least half of your budget so you can go crazy on decoration.
Build lights and displays sparingly as they eat up a ton of budget. Power connectors, wires and powered doors too. Also just avoid some prefabs even if you bought them. You can build a 2 story house from foundations and walls for the cost of a single prefab.

@@SuperSundaeTV if you have additional camp slots its worth having one camp dedicated for resource collection. I have a camp full of crops and if I need to craft some buff food or vegetable starch I just pull up the camp, toss a couple turbo fertiliser grenades to instantly harvest what I need and then I put he camp away.
This all sounds amazing. What a year we have ahead. Thanks, Gassy, for always keeping us up to date on what is going on in the wasteland.

This sounds like a fun idea, wonder where it would be on the map.. the concept of a mall of camper vans for player vendors is something I didn't know I needed!
I would think we could be setup in a few different locations around the map and yeah I think when people think of the outpost being player vendors it opens up the possibilities but we will have to wait and see 🤘

I've always wanted to have some kinda way to make an offer at player vendors, which could send them a notification of your offer that they could accept or decline..... I do like the idea of having a player vendor market place too.

I think your onto something. Here is the problem: In Skyrim, homes are EXTREMELY limited. That is the comparison that Bethesda is making atm. What you are getting into is something more like the garrisons of WoWs WoD expansion. If the outpost augmented what we do in the game, I would be for it. However, I think we are going to get something like the houses in ESO. They can be useful if you put effort into them, but you can also play without them with little impact to your game.
My bit was more of a wish honestly because I would rather have a player market that is customizable with looks over a house but honestly whatever they decide I am down 🤘

@@Fargassier but there's no reason it CAN'T be. we have been able to spent tokens to buy them since day 1....the lack of a display when they have added so many is silly.
@@stevetremblay961 Sorry I was trying to respond before lunch ended and meant to come back to this to explain more. Thanks for responding and since we can't display them then they shouldn't be in the game but hopefully they will fix that. Though it has been an issue for years at this point. I will see if I can get someone to let me know about it. It was a long day at work and had a lot of comments to respond too. My apologies for not going deeper on the thought at the time. 🤘
