SCROLLERS!
Here's a big pile of RANDOM for you: • Testing the GoPro3 suc...
As someone who owns a Mavic 2 Pro, it’s an incredible drone. I came from the spark and after mastering that it’s so great what I can do with the Mavic. Absolutely no regrets and never had any issues with it, totally recommend!
Nicholas Wolle Mavic 2 Pro over the Air for a first drone?
@@georgeblackwell2306 I mentioned I had the spark first in my original comment... it’s a second drone with much more capabilities but I’d definitely not recommend it as a beginner drone if you have no intentions of filming and producing with it like I do
@Spenser Dickerson I think it’s stupid to even recommend the air to anyone who’s just beginning... the spark is incredible but definitely don’t spend the money on the 2 unless you really use the drone. Mine is out 5 of the 7 days of the week capturing content for myself and others, it’s an investment not a toy you take out on weekends just to get a couple shots
Its these videos of you just flying a Drone mixed with your sense of humor I love the most! Thanks Ken!
Thank YOU. 🤓👍
Great intro.
But comparing a ND-16 filter on sunny day shot to the opposite with no filter was useless.
Woah, that glass was super cool!
Glasstastic! 🤓👍
Nice crystal clear video there Ken.
It's good to see you en route again. Always the best and funniest videos. Educational too. And it's always amazing to see how you make the drone dance. Looks so simple, it's so hard to do it yourself.
Thank you my friend.
@@KenHeron How about you coming to the Oktoberfest? Would be an en route story for sure. But not sure if it's legal to film at a Volksfest with 1 million visitors though... :D
The Inspire 2 is more detailed of course but it being sunny during that flight opposed to the M2P flight makes it that much more dramatically different. I own both a M2P and a P4P. I love The P4Pro though the M2P is definitely nice.
I dicided against the M2P, because the video quality of the P4P always looks so much better. Is the difference really that big or do I image things? Thx!
@@MeckeDuli
Simple answer: Yes; P4P video is more detailed.
But in all fairness, that question requires a loaded answer because its not that simple. For starters, the video that comes out of the P4P IS more detailed compared to the M2P... BUT the P4P shoots in 8bit color compared to the 10bit of the M2P. 10bit color allows you to push your color grade much further than 8bit in post production. And if you know what you're doing, you can get pretty close to the same detail if edited correctly. I have both only because I frequently fly commercially and needed a backup drone (M2P) and the P4P is too large in some cases and takes up more room when travelling. (I can pack both drones in one bag. No way you're packing 2 P4Pro in one carry on lol).
Hope this helps!
It is he also had a ND filter on his Inspire and none on the M2P filters make a huge difference
@@WeBeTripping For the details in the picture it doesn't, I'd think. The video looks more fluent but in the end you sometimes have even less detail
Very cool!
Wow Ken what a really awesome spectacular video this is, thank you for sharing with me. Sorry about your gimbal issue problem. I hope you get it back real quick. Please let us know how long it takes for them to get it back to you, thank you.
Great video and entertaining... as usual Ken!!
Thank you sir.
Nice Ken! Unfortunate for the gimbal issue but Atleast you had the Mavic 2 with ya! Looks great 👍🏼
My Phantom Pro V2.0 had to go in for repair twice for gimbal vibration problems.
Really?!! Dang.
Ken calibrate your IMU that's the problem. I have to do it a lot and the inspire 2 works great if I don't it does what your does
I did. Twice in fact.
Made no difference.
that sucks. we both got our inspires about the same time. so with in days they are the same. I have to calibrate the compass every time and the IMU I have learned to do every time as well to get rock steady video and flights. you might want to tell people about calibrating there IMu and how to do it. I learned about it on my phantom 4. well good luck
Great video Ken!!!
Thank you!
Hey Ken.... I saw your windshield dash cam (Vanture N2 Pro). I looked it up and it looks like something I need in my truck !
It's a good one!
I'm surprised. I thought it was pretty much always prohibited to fly over any government facility. How did you find out? When I travel, I spend hours trying to find the specific laws and places to fly, and it's always confusing.
LAANC
Ken, you are hilairious, thanks for making me smile. Bummer about the Inspire 2, I'm sure the shop will get it in tip top order again. 👍
I believe a cloudy day was mentioned in your video but I am surprised Brad doesn't use ND filters on his Mavic Pro 2. Just the raw unedited footage is so much crisper and contrast is so enhanced in 4K. C'mon Bradley, get with the ND filter program.
The reason I fly the Phantom 4 Pro instead of Mavic 2 Pro is the lack of 4K60 but the Mavic is really nice for its portability
Same here.
I enjoy the mechanical shutter of the P42.0 too!
Ken you should come to bowling green KENtucky and get shots around bowling green like the corvette museum and other awesome places
You're in luck:
ua-cam.com/video/ui2MsNc5pOg/v-deo.html
Hey Ken, I wonder if you are having that Kindle issue because of your lense. Depending on what lens you put on it each lens has a different weight so you have to put a counterweight on the back of the gimbal otherwise the motors slowly get damaged. I have a feeling this is probably why you are having this issue
Lol @ "you should pinch"... Some of the smoothest and THE fastest quad copter pilots in the world use thumbs
And they could be smoother and faster if they pinched.
@@KenHeron lol... you need to learn that there are different styles .. one is not superior to the other in any way whatsoever.
Had the same problem on inspire 1. A calibration of the IMU fixes it.
I thought so too, but that didn't work for me.
Beautiful video of course Ken. The inspire 2 had much better color detail I thought over Mavic. I believe glass melts at high temperatures not necessarily burns.
Don't you just hate a nervous gimbal? I'd be nervous too if I was 100 ft up and holding an expensive camera!!😋 Seriously though, great video Ken!!
It's always such a pleasure, And the Kenticipation of what's around the corner keeps us on the edge of the chair waiting to see what's next. Flying two different drones on nearly the exact same flight path took some real skill. Nicely done ! ! !
that was vary nice
Thank you Bradley.
I'd give you a thumbs up but you don't like thumbers! I will however do it this time.
3D Medic Vince good one!
I give both you guys thumbs up!👍👍
Well there is always the Inspire One lol...BTW almost there 100K congrats :)
Thanks bud!
I'm hoping it'll happen!🤓👍
Awesome video Ken, looking forward to more fpv videos, namely how to get smooth footage with an fpv race drone :)
Did you ever get a answer on why the gimbal is vibrating? Is the gimbal touching the camera at some spot?
I won't know until I send it off to DJI.
I was shocked how good the Mavics fly and how fast they are. I fly a Matrice and the difference between the two is like a sport bike VS a Bus. Great video, let me know if you make it up to Ohio
I agree.
The Mavic 2 is a great flyer.
When’s the last time you did a complete calibration on it Ken?
Right before flying.
Gimbal is hosed.
very cool I must say the inspire captured the light better and a couple of nice flares as well. the magic looked a little flat. hope the inspire repair goes well and that glass mountain was very cool and the fire would off been a pane !
Haaa!
Thanks. 🤓👍
So was 9:11 a lucky escape you did you totally know about that tower?!
Yeah, that was pure luck!
Like your videos! *thumbs up*
Hey Ken. Can you update us on the Inspire issues. Can you tell us what they (you, your uncle robbie?) did to fix it and what it cost you? I've kinda been kicking around the idea of an Inspire (used) but this sort of thing would be good to know.
I won't know until DJI gets it.
Awesome content as always, BUT... but, the Inspire vs. Mavic comparisons aren't fair due to the weather conditions when you flew. Really need to fly in the same light for both for a good comparison!
I was wondering what happened to the Inspire, Haven't seen you use it much. If your ever out Oregon you can use my Mavic also, but I get to drive your Rx8!
Almost imperceptible, but the mavic 2 shows slightly less frames per second than the inspire. Other than that, it is pretty much equal imo. Some are posting the weather comparisons aren't fair, but I disagree. It does not matter. The detail is there regardless.
94 thousand subscribers WOW I remember when you had under 1000. AWSOME job ken
Thank you Al!
Inspire 2's Zenmuse X5 is clearly superior from the camera standpoint ! When the gimbal on the Inspire 2 is repaired it will always outperform the Mavic 2 from a video perspective . Brad walks away shaking head after the Leaf Joke! LOL!
Hopefully DJI won't need to keep it for long.
Shame about the shaking, but it still looks better than the Mavic 2 Pro.
Mavic is the always bestt ...
Ken doesn't wanna give away mini ken's location but that's where mini ken really lives in the Frankfort mini building for mini people like mini ken. I think ken dropped mini ken from 300 feet off his phantom and mini ken is recovering right now that's why we haven't seen mini ken around lately. Mini ken has busted legs from what i know, he will be ok.
Mini Ken is still in mini rehab.
As soon as he can find some mini crutches, he will be back!
lol
And your up early too ... I bet you just couldn't wait to get Tuesday started... what a guy !
He posted this video last night.
Only 1440P??
I always cal the gimbal
Safety glass does have the plastic layer to keep it form flying everywhere when it breaks.
Safety glass (also known as toughened glass) is the glass that breaks into a million pieces & does not have plastic inside. The glass with the plastic inside is called laminated glass & is used for most car windshields these days whereas most other glass in a car (side & back windows) is still using safety glass.(I know your eyes started glaze over reading that) Hmm... Ken's puns must be rubbing off on me.
You should come to Montana it is beautiful here up north i am in evergreen area not as good as some up here but still cool if your up here let me know you can fly my Drone i spark drone not near as good as yours but yeah let me know haha
Thanks for the invite!
You live in an incredibly beautiful part of the country.
Yeah thanks
HI Ken!
I think I'd give DJI a call on that less than inspiring inspire.
I liked your presentation but had the Mavic 2 flown in sunny conditions with an ND filter the difference would have been tiny. Please try it again!
I like your dashcam 😉 (I have the same)
It's a good one!👍
Yes I too bought the same dash cam after seeing Ken's and his recommendation. I love mine.
Inspire 2 shots are better. Better focal length, better detail and highlight retention but again, this is UA-cam...
The inspire is great, but in today's world unless you are trying to make huge productions....the cost just isnt worth it otherwise. The mavic 2pro however... well it's worth every penny! Unless you already have the p4p...and I dont want to be greedy! 🎅 oh Santa...
You know what, that camera probably doesn’t have a good stablizer like your go pro does, am I right? It just keep shaking while your filming. 👀 oh my goodness the side by side comparison is mind blowing.
Good video
Aside from lens differences with the ND filter (which could be added to the Mavic), the thing i noticed most was the ability to have some negative camera angle on the Inspire makes for a more cinematic shot as you approach the capitol. Aside from that, really not that much difference.
The i2 has a new type of rubber grommets for the stabilizer/vibration board especially for x5s, they seem to be stronger with less sag, also transport with cam off. Regards Tony of Australia
Link pictures? Something? New gromets are availible
@@davidjaypeterson644 My drop box www.dropbox.com/s/d5ik7gozv8f10bx/20190917_153327.jpg?dl=0
You will notice these are stronger and don't sag under heat and weight , hope this helps regards Tony
After testing new Tuguan I sold my Mazda cx5
Man the video is sooo smooth on that Inspire and so sharp. The mavic looked noticeably less professional looking
He's very entertaining, Good content and good information, definitely worth the sub
Love the video! Sorry about the Inspire gimbal issue, but it can be repaired, so keep solace in that. The capital footage was great even with both drones, and Glass Mountain was just awesome. Thank you for the time. Take Care!
Better quality out of the Inspire but not by much and not worth the extra bucks to get it. The mavic feels more filmic. Also like all the flight modes on the Mavic 2 Pro. Mavic 2 Pro got my money.
The inspire seems like it’d be too cumbersome to use for how you usually capture things anyway, aside from the shaking issue! (I mean for the sake of just being able to stop and throw the phantom up quick, it seems like the inspire would take much longer to get up & going!)
Hahaha with thumb you can be as good as a pincher, I cant fly my race quad pinching not at all, I can fly my phantom with thumbs like you with pinches hahahahaha, look at my channel DDB electronics, thanks!🤣
The inspire is sharp, but the mavic 2 pro better quality.
With no filter is awesome.
Did you mean: MAVIC?
theone2be33 yes thank you LOL
The big guy looks like RON WHITE😁👍
Great video, I would have liked to have seen the M2P shoot the Capital building in sunlight.
Comparison
Personally the Inspire footage appears higher in colour concentration.
Reckon the ND16 Filter used along with Sunny setting may have had something to do with that.
Would have been nice to see both the Mav 2 and the Inspire using exactly the same settings perhaps with no Filters.
Have subscribed.
Kindly view my Mavic 2 Zoom footage of winter Lake Lyndon Southern Alps New Zealand.
Would appreciate your feedback Thank you
Hello Frank!
Consider sending some of your Kiwi footage to our weekly live stream: kenheronupload@gmail.com
Would love to see it!
This is definitely another imaginative and funny "KEN-spiring video! Glass mountain looks like it belongs in the Emerald City, rather than KEN-tucky. Since the price of an Inspire 2 is out of range of most users, it's great that we can get the amazing little Mavic Pro 2 to make "professional videos." Thanks Ken for another KEN-tastic video!
Thank you Jim!!👍
Thanks Ken,
I really enjoy your work and sense of humor.
Too bad you didnt get the sun like you did with the Inspire. I would have loved to see that comparison.
it's not acceptable for a 5000 dollar drone to have problems like that with the gimbal
Wow, the glass mountain was pretty cool. Nice video Ken.
Insipre 2 is HOLLYWOOD quality by far.
I was surprised that you didn't get any interference from the rebar in that concrete parking lot. I usually move away to grassy areas or pavement for a launch of my Mavic Pro or M2P drones to reduce magnetic Interference.
I think it was constructed differently because it's built into the side of a hill.
The inspire to has some amazing footage, the landing legs are a great detail to get that futuristic feeling. Overall both drones are great and serve different purposes.
You got it Ken, Laminated glass has plastic. Top video ...
The middle layer is laminate. Two types of glass. Laminated and tempered.
Its hard to pinch the sticks on the Mavic series controllers
Thumbs ftw
Good stuff Ken as always. Love the glass mountain footage.
Ya planted one on us this time!!! Glass-burns? Isn't that what you take for a headache???
Haaaa!!
NUMBER 47th. YES
A shame the Inspire has the shakes :/. Glass Mountain was quite sparkly! Fantastic!
Who'd of thought recycling could be so beautiful?!
Great video, Ken. Too bad about the Inspire. Everyone loves the Mavic 2. Might have to get one.
I'm impressed with the stability of the Mavic 2.
Love it!! Hello from Oklahoma City!
First. lets watch this bad boy 🦅🦅
Ken you are killing the DJI Inspire’s value by criticizing it’s usefulness, maneuvering, and camera. If you check out RC Groups and Ebay after you posted this video, the price has dropped by 50%, quick in the air? “Anybody want to. Buy an Inspire 2? As is?” That was the value killer right there. Since this video many of my friends have told me that “Ken Heron” said the Inspire 2 is his “least favorite” go to drone. Thanks for making my 5000.00 investment unsaleable at a reasonable price ... however, I do like most of your vides, but please don’t bad mouth multi-rotors.
UA-cam member.
Sorry, I don't have time to answer this comment. I'm too busy ironing my cape. (Clearly I have superpowers.)
Up-Up... and AWAY!
Beautiful building .... Glad you capitalized on that
Now I just have to decide which banks to rob so I can go get me a mavic 2 haha
First and the name is Superdave
Congrats on the 1440P upgrade, Videos look even better ithink.Glass Mountain was really cool. It looked like a Diamond mountain or a Huge Christmas Display. I see you're having fun but Dana need to kick the habit and retire. How much money does a Country music Superstar need anyway? Guess as much as they can. Great, great video.
Thanks Harry!
Dana will return one day soon. 👍
Hey Ken, It's okay to be a thumber! After all, it is Thumbertime! yuk yuk
HAHAHAAA!!
Very nice.
"Frankfurt" (Germany) without a passport?!
The shake might be the rubber plate. change that.
Ken, I have a question about my Mavic 2 I was wondering if you could answer:
When flying in standard mode on the waypoint flight mode my camera turns to the right slowly as I go from waypoint A to waypoint B. Do you know why this is and what setting I need to turn off to fix it?
Try recalibrating the IMU.
You can also use yaw during waypoint flights to correct the camera's angle. 👍
Great comparison video Ken, BTW would the Mavic have caught the sun glinting off the roof of the Capitol building like the Inspire did, if the weather had not been so overcast during the Mavic flight or was that due to the filter?
The sun just happened to go behind a cloud during the Mavic run, otherwise it would've been similar except in lower resolution.
