What a pleasant, refreshing guy this interviewer is. It is clear that the cast members he interviewed, responded to his genuineness and also his well thought out questions. You're the man Jake!
I love how Hamilton in these interviews doesn't ever ask a standard question but really thinks about every actor and their character and works out the most interesting questions to ask. Very well done Sir.
I really enjoyed this interview. The questions asked were truly interesting and proved that Hamilton understood the depth of series. You could see how the actors were genuinely surprised, and answered with passion. Great work!
I came here for Martin Freeman, but the interviewer won me over. Seriously, he's one of the most enthusiastic interviewers I've ever seen. It was quite refreshing. Job well done, mate.
Always so nice to see these actors in interviews about these movies, even all this time later. They've been a big part of my life. Whenever I've gone through a hardship, these are my "go to" diversions. So much amazing talent went into making these movies that it's truly astonishing. There was real artisanship involved in every aspect. I would've loved to have a job behind the scenes, just making things.
Best interveiws I've seen so far. It's awesome to see some imagination put into the questions, since most of the other interviewers ask the same four questions over and over again. Intelligent, fun questions, and your reactions are so genuine. A pleasure to watch!
Ian McKellen has been to my school...Just though I'd say. He gave a speech to my whole school it was amazing. We have his speech quoted on our walls somewhere. He is da bomb.
No HE isn't. He' s not a Dark Knight Fanboy who skinned Chickens and mauled guys coming home from their Warhammer Games. He's not a helium-voiced Twilight Twat.
I remember going to the cinema with my uncle to see Fellowship of the Ring, i remember i hadn't read any of the books back then and i kept annoying my uncle with questions during the movie, but from that day began my everlasting love for LOTR.
Great interview!!! For an interviewer, it must be a huge compliment when you ask a question and the person goes "ooooh good question." Hope you do another one for DoS!!! :D
Martin Freeman leaves a very modest and kind impression on me! I hope he will read this comment and understand that he acted perfectly! Thank you very much for doing this for us!!!!
That's so cool when Richard says he was in 8th grade too, and it became more like to guys reminiscing about their teenage life rather than a formal interview :)
Finally!! An interviewer that is not a complete moron.. I feel like too many of 'The Hobbit' interviews had stupid people asking the actors stupid questions... this is very refreshing and the actors are sooo amazing!!
He does a wonderful job as an interviewer. Comfortable, funny, obviously makes his guests think, but also feel comfortable too, and he rolls with the punches when he gets interesting answers to the questions. And he does his homework. Great interviews!
Jack, this is the first time i watch one of your interviews and i find u really talented at this work. Not only your questions are smart but u are enthusiastic as we are watching the interviews. Saludos de Argentina.
Wow, you did a really good job Jake. I just noticed you today and so far my conclusion remains that you're a very talented interviewer and critic. Keep up the good work Mr. Hamilton.
This is probably the best interview I've ever seen, I don't know this Jake Hamilton guy but he just brings something amazing to it with his questions and his, at his attitude and just...wow. Amazing!
I usually never watch interviews but just by looking at the actors' reactions to your questions show how interesting and in-depth they really are. Keep it up man.
it was a great interview to watch. jake's questions are so on point, interesting, and he asks 'nerdily', if I may, in a good way. the casts are great persons, there was no awkward moment, everything straight, just awesome. not many have managed to do such a thing, I think.
What I brilliant effort. Has to be one ofthe best interviews out there. All you're questions are well thought off and delivery was natural and free flowing. Keep it up!....while I subscribe!
These interviews were really good! I like it when the interviewers arent super professional/serious and when they actually seem to know something about the movie(s)!
This interviewer is brilliant, I've seen him talk with a bunch of different actors now and he obviously prides himself on asking interesting questions that are NOT the typical ones the actors have already answered 1000 times before. So refreshing.
Interviewer: (in a loud voice) So if I did my nerdy research correctly, Thorin translates as darer? RA: Where was that etymology from? Interviewer: ...i found it online. RA: Ok, but any particular nation that would've done it? Interviewer: ...not sure... RA: Ok, cause the Nordic translation of Thorin comes from Thor meaning thunder. In the English folklore it means..blahblahblah. Mr. Armitage: Mr. Armitage: Ok..but any particular nation that would've done it? Interviewer:...i'm not sure...
Superb interviews! The riddle part with Andy Serkis was hilarious XD And for RA to have a big sense of imagination really puts me at ease because it's the greatest thing one can hold on to as an actor and as a person, and I've held onto my imagination for my own works too. Overall, brilliant as always Jake!
No matter how many interviews I see, he never fails to amaze me with his Gollum voice!!!
Andy Serkis is so impossibly adorable. Too bad he won't be in the other two films. Except behind the camera, of course.
"There's a phrase: "Turn off your barking phone". You gotta love Martin.
Jake, you literally come up with the best questions, and you're so genuine in your interviews. Keep it up man!!
I really enjoyed this interview. The questions asked were truly interesting and proved that Hamilton understood the depth of series. You could see how the actors were genuinely surprised, and answered with passion. Great work!
11:33 when he's pondering the riddle.... I don't see Andy. I SEE Smeagol. Holy shit. (and the laugh at 11:59 is downright adorable!)
So happy for Richard Armitage, I've been a fan of his for a long while. Nice to see his hard work rewarded with a roll like Thorin.
Love seeing, Richard Armitage . He is a great actor. Great interview.
It was like Thorin himself being interviewed. I see no difference at all. I love him, hes like rdj
Richard Armitage knows his lore!
I came here for Martin Freeman, but the interviewer won me over. Seriously, he's one of the most enthusiastic interviewers I've ever seen. It was quite refreshing. Job well done, mate.

One of my favourite interviews of Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis. You met Sir Ian McKellen! You lucky dawg.
Best interveiws I've seen so far. It's awesome to see some imagination put into the questions, since most of the other interviewers ask the same four questions over and over again. Intelligent, fun questions, and your reactions are so genuine. A pleasure to watch!

The best interview I ever seen so far 4 the Hobbit movie finally different Qs
The interviewer is very intelligent & honest & funny a good combination.
Arghhh I got goose bumps when he did the Gollum voice!! Lovedddd it!!
interviewer is such a fanboy for Andy Serkis)) It's adorable))
No HE isn't. He' s not a Dark Knight Fanboy who skinned Chickens and mauled guys coming home from their Warhammer Games.
He's not a helium-voiced Twilight Twat.
I think getting complimented by Ian McKellen would just make me so happy
Brilliant interviews, and credit to the great interviewer. :)
Martin Freeman is too underrated, he is such a great actor who deserves more awards and honors.
I got to meet Andy Serkis ten years ago, at a convention. Definitely one of my favourite actors/people to this day! Deserves an award for his talent!
I remember going to the cinema with my uncle to see Fellowship of the Ring, i remember i hadn't read any of the books back then and i kept annoying my uncle with questions during the movie, but from that day began my everlasting love for LOTR.
Interviewer: "How's this going?", "Yeah I don't like you either" says Martin with the straightest face ever.
I like how Richard gets to "out-nerd" Jake :D
Great interview!!! For an interviewer, it must be a huge compliment when you ask a question and the person goes "ooooh good question." Hope you do another one for DoS!!! :D

Jake, your interviews are the best! Well done!
I love everything and everyone associated to Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. And I like this Jake Hamilton guy, so I'm glad the two worlds met.
Finally!! An interviewer that is not a complete moron.. I feel like too many of 'The Hobbit' interviews had stupid people asking the actors stupid questions... this is very refreshing and the actors are sooo amazing!!
Ian McKellen came to my high school to give a talk on tolerance two years ago. It was awesome.
Richard Armitage has just as intimidating aura surrounding him as Thorin does. Amazing :D
Jake Hamilton had great questions... good going :)
Ian was impressed... definitely
Richard is soooooooo cool! I love his voice... like seriously I can listen to his voice forever
I liked how both the interviewer and the interviewees seemed to have fun. Makes it fun for the audience too.
I love how he calls all of them 'my friend'. Way to make someone relax :)
Great interviews! I wish I had your job... Truly.
Wow, you did a really good job Jake. I just noticed you today and so far my conclusion remains that you're a very talented interviewer and critic. Keep up the good work Mr. Hamilton.
Jake Hamilton great interviewer! :)
This is the best interview ive seen so far! So many interesting questions!
"Yeah, I was in 8th grade too"
Sassy Richard is sassy.
Cute and interesting interview, nice job.
Interesting questions, different than the usual.
For the riddle and for the "Can I hug you?" from the Andy Serkis part, I'm sooo subscribing to this channel. :D
"I don't think I'm the most talented actor in the world" - oh Richard! How wrong you are ^^
A common statement made by guest on almost each interview is "That's a very good question" Way to go my friend... you rock!!
Me too...I was 6, lol can't believe it's been that long!
Thumbs up for the actors AND the interviewer. Just a positive, brilliant, insightful set of interviews. I'm glad I came here.
Ickle!Richard Armitage wanting to go see Bambi in the theater is the cutest thing ever.
Jake Hamilton did a great job here! I don't I've enjoyed an interview that much before!
Great interviewer
This is probably the best interview I've ever seen, I don't know this Jake Hamilton guy but he just brings something amazing to it with his questions and his, at his attitude and just...wow. Amazing!
I usually never watch interviews but just by looking at the actors' reactions to your questions show how interesting and in-depth they really are. Keep it up man.
That was one of the best interviews I've ever seen
Great interview! I love Ian, Martín, Andy and Richard too much..
Of all the interviews, I think yours was the best!
it was a great interview to watch. jake's questions are so on point, interesting, and he asks 'nerdily', if I may, in a good way. the casts are great persons, there was no awkward moment, everything straight, just awesome. not many have managed to do such a thing, I think.
Feel free to get four minutes with each talent and do the interviews yourself next time :)
Thanks for watching!
You do great interivews! Thank you so much for your work!
I love how when Jake asked Andy Serkis a riddle, Andy was doing the Gollum breathing :P
I'm starting to recommend all my friends invest time into Jake's interviews. He really has talent.
What I brilliant effort. Has to be one ofthe best interviews out there. All you're questions are well thought off and delivery was natural and free flowing. Keep it up!....while I subscribe!
You are absolutely right :) Thanks for pointing out what's REALLY important! And thanks for watching!
-- Jake
I love how Andy does the agitated Gollum-breathe when he hears the riddle xD
Those were some great interviews! Some great questions, props to the interviewer. I'm very glad I clicked on this video.
Jake you're such a boss XD Loved the interviews, Well done!
This is AMAZING. Jake, you're wonderful, just like the actors you've interviewed!

YES. I WAS WAITING FOR THIS.
I love it how everybody is commenting on how awesome the interviewer is, when most people would talk about the interviewees.
It's so refreshing to see an interviewer who is as much of a fan as the rest of us are!
Now this is what I call an interview! Brilliant questions!
Everyone is amazing and I love these people
Superb interviews! The riddle part with Andy Serkis was hilarious XD And for RA to have a big sense of imagination really puts me at ease because it's the greatest thing one can hold on to as an actor and as a person, and I've held onto my imagination for my own works too. It's actually nice to see an interviewer that is truly into the topic. You can tell he is actually a big Tolkien fan (movies, at least).
Did Ian McKellen just say "boogie down with the hobbits"? Awesome.
LOVE your interviews!!
