I love how Martin Freeman says that he's on a "life long mission to be Scrooge" with the bathrobe they gave him and that he jokingly says that when he wears it it makes him feel "slightly more angry at the world." This is why Martin Freeman is one of my favourite actors. He's hilarious.
Yeah. He is a huge fan of the dramatic arts in itself, and has always shown great appreciation for his peers and every aspect of it. I think Andy just did him a huge boon, because it's probably something he's wondered about for some time. And he got to see it realised. Very cool.
When Andy talks you hear nothing from Peter but out of shot Martin literally every second 'mm, mmm, yeah, mmm, yes, mmm, mm, mm, yeah' Bishop Muzorewa...
You can see the psychological dynamics at play here. Peter Jackson is like the father with Martin and Andy being brothers, Andy being the older brother.
That interview had to be difficult for Peter. He hadn't made the movie he had wanted to, but he did such a good job of working with what he had after del Toro left the project. I'd love to have seen what del Toro would have made with Peter and he working together, but it wasn't to be.
hey @betterthanbooks, the other segments are simply cut-downs of the complete interview. So if you watch the complete interview, you're not missing a thing. Enjoy!
I'm always so proud of British people when they know the abbreviations for states. When Andy knew "MA" was Massachusetts, I was all like, "Awh! He got it!" like he's a kindergartener learning the states.
I was wondering the same, John Rhys-Davis seems to be the only recognisible name from Lord of the Rings which pops up in relation to Isle of Man, so I guess it's likely it's him.
3:14 Yes, Peter. You included EVERYTHING you wanted in the movies from the books, which is why, in the place of actually KILLING Smaug, you went through this whole massive fight scene in the underground dwarven kingdom while another fight was happening simultaneously in the lake town near the mountain where a romantic subplot between a dwarf and an elf that NEVER OCCURRED IN THE BOOK was the main drive of the fight. It's one thing to leave out plot points from source material, it's another to ADD shit that never happened to pad the hell out of your movie.
From what I've heard the producer actually got him to bring the romance into the movie. He didn't actually plan to do that, he even promised Evangeline Lilly that she wouldn't have to play a romance
They actually addressed that in the Lord of the Rings books; while it might work for a while, they realized that Sauron might employ some breed of sea creature to find it.
"When I first put it on, and I was having it fitted, I was like, 'I'm gonna f***king have this'."
Martin's enthusiasm for a dressing gown is golden.
I died 😂😂

Martin's heartfelt 'thanks' at 5:26 cracks me up. X)
5:26 when Martin says "Thanks" is so unbelievable cute!!! It made my heart melt
Yeah. He is a huge fan of the dramatic arts in itself, and has always shown great appreciation for his peers and every aspect of it.

Very cool.
Martin's happy little noise at 0:26 is just wonderful
At 5:27 min: the way Martin says, "...thanks" is so genuine; tugs my heart. T.T
Martin Freeman has the most down to earth personality.
Down to "Middle-earth" personality? :D
Sorry

He is. xD

What's great about this interview is Martin's pink socks. So hobbit-like
I love how Martin seems genuinely happy to see Andy Serkis as Gollum. This cast and crew are just lovely and I cannot wait to see the film!
Haha! I love how suprised Martin is, that Andy really does his "Gollum-thingy" for him! :D
Martin it's so cute, tiny, with pinky socks and swearing a lot while being sassy

I did too, but not before my mind went into the gutter about where he would stuff it.

There goes my mind now
Man, even his socks are adorable like him
Martin is rocking the pink socks!
When Andy talks you hear nothing from Peter but out of shot Martin literally every second 'mm, mmm, yeah, mmm, yes, mmm, mm, mm, yeah' Bishop Muzorewa...
Martin is always the cutest hobbit on screen and off 😍😍💖💜
These two are my favorites in both Trilogies.
Andy played baby Caesar too?
So.
Freakin.
Adorable.
This cast will be the death of me for sure.
Nice to see Peter holding his mandatory cup of tea!!
You can see the psychological dynamics at play here. Peter Jackson is like the father with Martin and Andy being brothers, Andy being the older brother.
"I love that. Thanks" I don't know how Martin makes everything he says hilarious but he does. Prime sense of humour.
Martin's socks = winning in life.
In the middle of the screen just shining out. Awesome!
That interview had to be difficult for Peter. He hadn't made the movie he had wanted to, but he did such a good job of working with what he had after del Toro left the project. I'd love to have seen what del Toro would have made with Peter and he working together, but it wasn't to be.
Peter Jackson - you are just awesome
OMGosh... Arthur Dent (Martin's character in Hitch-hiker's) and John Watson (Sherlock) are famous for their sleeping gowns!!! lol...
That was a great Steve Buscemi impersonation from Andy Serkis right there
While Andy was talking about where he would hide the One Ringe I was staring at his wedding ring all the time. That was weird.
2020 and I'm still waiting for more!!
Awwwww I love Martin so much
For those who don't know, the man from the Isle of Mann is John Rhys-Davies
I love Martin so much! 💜💖💕❤
If Bilbo's dressing gown doesn't show up in series 3 of Sherlock in some way, shape or form, I may cry.
He is so fucking gorgeous...look at him with his legs crossed...not giving a damn. So cool, smooth, so Martin!!!!
Hey Adam -- yes, we do. Uploading the high res version shortly! Thanks for watching.
This is so great! I love your series :)
hey @betterthanbooks, the other segments are simply cut-downs of the complete interview. So if you watch the complete interview, you're not missing a thing. Enjoy!

Martin stop being so adorable.
Loving Martin's socks haha
Peters joke about keep making more hobbits should be reality
I'm always so proud of British people when they know the abbreviations for states. When Andy knew "MA" was Massachusetts, I was all like, "Awh! He got it!" like he's a kindergartener learning the states.
hahaha "you can stuff the ring wherever you like....it doesn't have to be a friend"
"Why do you hate Steve Buscemi so much?" lol
Martin's socks
I could not have said it better. Thanks for saving me the trouble.
why is Martin Freeman so cute, oh my god
I LOVE ALL 3 OF THEM!
aww i like these guys!!
Martin Freeman es tan bonito… ❤
Pets him on the back too LOL
martin's socks are fantastic!!!!!!!!!
Martin Freeman's really funny, I like him.
Is it gonna go 4 A New Hope? 3:32 love the Star Wars reference
"gollum is a...umm... psychologically complicated person.....hobbit.......thing" LOL
I was wondering the same, John Rhys-Davis seems to be the only recognisible name from Lord of the Rings which pops up in relation to Isle of Man, so I guess it's likely it's him.
Ha ha. I love how Andy Serkis introduces them and not Peter Jackson XD He has become a truly beloved icon as Gollum
Andy is so freaking cool.
those socks hahahah
I REALLY want that dressing gown to :D
I would toss the ring where the Titanic is. They haven't found that necklace the old bat had so why not throw it down there.
Love it so much
They have some fantastic chemistry - the movie has a 87% viewer score already!
you had me at your pink socks martin.
Martin Freeman as always being the cutest one in the room. Also he is the only one on this earth could pull hot pink socks to a new level of sexy!
PJ is not a hobbit!! He is one carrot-loving MAN who lives in bree!
@MoviefoneVideo do you have this in a higher resolution? 720 or 1080?
how do you submit a question for these interviews?
i nvr understand their jokes.... i did laugh, to respect their laughing.
Ahahah Martin's pink socks!
That "right atilla the hun" that lives on the isle of man they mention is John-Rhys Davies I think.
Martin Darling, you make enough money, you don't need to wear naff, two dollar socks!
Martin swears so much lol
I love his socks =D
i understood that refference!;)

We family friends with the serkis'. Ruby stayed for a sleep over then I got to go onset!

My first thought was SOCKS xD
Good to know I wasn't the only one thinking of that ^_^
