    Literally shut down every golf pro on UA-cam. Over complicate the swing way too much and the GOAT is stood here keeping it simple

    Golf My Way. The GOAT put it in writing. 18 majors and finishing 2nd 19 times in majors says it all.

    One golf swing. No wonder he has 18 majors. Robustness in simplicity. Compared to the thousands of swing videos and drills offered by new age tutors who get paid for poting more stuff but not reducing handicaps.

    "One Basic Swing for all basic shots. The Grip is the same. The Aim is the same. The Ball position is the same (except for high or low shots) for all basic full swing shots. The Swing's Arc & Plane is the same. The Rhythm & Tempo is the same with all shots." This simple approach to "One Basic Swing", and eliminating varible elements in the set-up and swing can make anyone a better player at any level. Mr. Nicklaus, thanks for sharing these timeless fundamentals with the world. God Bless Ya'.

    The mastery of keeping it simple. Nothing more to say, as long as your ball striking is up to snuff :)

    hitting 500 golf balls a day forever will help and if you're doing it wrong, it'll take you another 500 golf balls to correct your' mistakes

    Jack's still the greatest. He has no need to be doing this at this point in his career, but he spends time w/ these kids. Has to be a thrill for them to get instruction from the greatest golfer who ever lived.

      @@sappermade6012 I would add Trevino to that first group. The big four in my opinion. Latino golfers world wide would agree.

    For me a little open clubface is fine because as you take it back the face opens anyway so if it's open from the start then it's likely to return that way at impact it's feels decent. The closed clubface at address feels awkward in the grip and the takeaway not sure if thats a good idea.

    With all the technology and video now, golf instruction is ruining players on the amateur level. Everything is so focused on static positions and motions that may not be natural to some people, its taking the art away from the golf swing.

    @brh5934 yeah, assuming you make the same exact swing and hit the ball the exact same way, with the exact same club, on an exactly level surface every time, you'll be great!

    great video. It is true, clubface is ALWAYS the king. If you can control the clubface, you can play golf.

    It is as easy as he says if you're Iron Byron. Watch all the pro swings at the Players Championship Sawgrass hole 17 on a Sunday. If pros have problems on a tee'd ball inside 140 yards how can you as a weekend warrior expect to shoot par so easily? Get your swing zeroed out, consistent and you can be putting for par. Chipping and putting is another game in itself. If the game were as easy as he demonstrates nobody would play it.

    one swing, but three shaft alignments ...
    forward lean shaft wedges to 8iron ( ball position middle of stance)
    neutral shaft 7 and 6 ( ball position left chest)
    slight rear shaft lean 5iron - driver ( ball position left arm pit)

    • @moreme40
      @moreme40 6 років тому +1

      KING SHARK , Jack played every standard shot with the ball opposite the left heel. Only the right foot is moved for different clubs. The varying shaft lean is due to a narrowing stance(right foot) and shorter shafts on the higher lofted clubs. He doesn’t position in the middle, off the armpit, in line with the forehead etc.

      No, he won by having a lot of talent and determination. The swing just was a part of that.

    Dead on perfect. One thing that helped me also is the concept of swinging around your head. Keeping the same posture through the swing and you finish your swing and your body is in the shape of an "r". I can't tell you how much this has helped me. also remember, a nice easy swing, let your arms fall on plane and holy shit will you be amazed. I am going throug back pains now because of playing for 2 months swinging to hit the daylights out of the ball. Well now, my swing doesn't hurt :)

  • @nigelskipping7941

    Do you adjust your hands on the grip? Or do you just open or close the club face leaving your hands in their normal position? Anyone?

    • @bobbys4327
      @bobbys4327 7 місяців тому

      I know this is older, but video on golf doesn't get older. Grip the same, just adjust the clubface first, one hand on the club then add the other hand in your normal grip. I am right handed so I hold the club in my left hand, adjust the face then put my right hand on in normal grip.
