I've been a fan since the car commercials a few years back.. Jack is a riot and Natalie has an awesome voice and is just downright HOT!! I will check to see when you will be in Mpls
I love the way you add slightly obscure chords into these covers and create something totally new despite retaining the basic structure of the original.
The subtlies. When the music goes clean she sings with no make-up. I've been watching this video for years now. In the worst of times it brings a smile. For whatever reason. You guys are a bucket-list to see live. Keep up the opus.
It looks like Jack has an incredible collection of keyboard-based instruments at his disposal. The thing about pianos and organs is that they are not small, and they are not easy to store or move. I'd love to see that studio if for no other reason than gear envy.
Jack is one of those guys that is THAT talented that he almost makes me stop trying to create anything at all haha. You're so inspiring it's nearly demotivating.
PomplamooseMusic OH STOP IT!! (this is jack, I've hijacked the pomplamoose account from nataly). I hope these videos make people INSPIRED to make more music.... that's the goal at least. If it's any consolation, there are so many musicians that I listen to that render me unable to continue making - Elliott Smith, Radiohead, Prince, Paul McCartney - how could I EVER make music when these GIANTS have dwarfed anything I could ever even dream of making?! It's a terrible/wonderful feeling, but in the end, I just HAVE to make music. Comparisons will only leave us useless.
At 2:36, those fast notes, up and down, I don't know how you would call them in English - they are a little demotivating. ^^ They made me think of how I practise hours and hours to play a few dozen notes at that speed (not on a piano, obviously, that wouldn't be hard enough, and actually not just straight lines either, that would be boring), and you just cheat with that stupid synthesizer. :P (those are the benefits of digital music, I guess. I should really learn how to do stuff like that at some point (-: )
I seem to remember Jack saying they featured the blue wig most cuz they thought the audience would like it most, but was surprised to see how much the audience ended up loving the pink wig
LOVE this video. Amazing job. Love the reveals toward the end of the backdrops, etc. too, and all the fun little out-take bits. Brings in the classic Pomplamoose show-everything-you're-doing and not-taking-ourselves-too-seriously factors -- but only after first showing off how kick-ass of a fancy music video you can make. The whole thing is brilliant.
"I like joy; I want to be joyous. I want to smile and I want to make people laugh. And that`s all I want. I like being happy. I want to make others happy." - Doris Day
@@ElSabio159 That's a real shame that you think someone wanting others to be happy along with themselves is cringe. Take a step back, a deep breath, and think before you act/type. It will get you much further in life than shooting down someone else's day.
This band I've been following for a couple years, not too long. But something about it always makes me feel better no matter what mood I'm in. Unlike many other artists, it just makes me smile to see how much they really enjoy what they're doing, and seeing how down-to-earth and happy their videos are. Please never change!
You guys are so awesome. I'm an old guy with an appreciation for the classic songs that you are reworked with taste and imagination. I just love everything you do.
Been following you guy's sweet overhauls of classic and recent songs and have never been disappointed. Years later and I'm still rediscovering your versions. You not only cover a song but take it and make it completely yours. Keep it up!!!!!
What's weird is that I actually had the DuckTales theme song in my head just before watching this video. I thought I'd lost my mind for a second there.
I love this group so much...you guys are absolutely fantastic! This is my favorite band discovery in many years and I’m having a blast exploring your catalogue the past couple of weeks. The joy and energy in the music and production, coupled with Nataly’s beautifully sweet and simple singing style is some next level pleasure to my ears. I don’t like all of the affectation, vibrato and curly Qs so often, and needlessly, put onto the notes by so many modern singers. Nataly’s voice often gives me goosebumps...you guys are downright amazing and your music has moved me in profound ways.
your feeling for harmonics and talent in creating something totally new out of old stuff is incredible. your sound is so catchy and unique - blowin my mind for years now
Nataly's lovely in this one. Particularly dig the different "characters" that go with the different outfits. The little solo by Jack fits very well too.
How do you guys get that sound that stands out in such a crowded field? Everybody has access to a home studio in 2015 but nobody captures the synergy of voice, arrangement, production and friendliness that is Pomplamoose. Do me a favor and make a pop hit. I want to hear you on the radio.
In just found this, 9 years late. But I must say, having been there when the original came out, I think this is a great cover. Original and very well done.
Been following your early collaborations since 2010. This clip is a major step up in quality of your production. Beautiful! What DSLR are you using to produce this (Mark 2 or 3, I'm guessing)? Nice color grading. Is Natalie still your editor in chief? Harmonics of this cover are really pleasing, so you got here a very solid intro to your Patreon page. Good luck, and thanks for your inspirational work!

I was just listening to "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen and thought, you guys could do a fantastic cover of this song!
Boston sold out.... ugh. So unfair. More shows! more dates. please please please.
Love this version more than the original but I refuse to use iTunes, sad, I'd so buy this.
The two of you dancing together is the most adorable thing I have ever seen.
Michi!
Michael Buchinger THEN, you need to see cat videos. 🤣
It's funny how it provides a counter image to the original dancing duo, too.
close your mouth, you look like an idiot
I found this out in 2023, almost 10 years but still quality as its best. Love this duo so much 🥰🥰
14 years brother. Check it out, God bless
I love the way you add slightly obscure chords into these covers and create something totally new despite retaining the basic structure of the original.
Brilliant harmony.
Anyone else hear Ducktales at the beginning?
Yeahhhh me!!
+Matthew Breslin youright!
The Homeless Guy is very young...
+Matthew Breslin I just wrote duck tales in to search!

Okay I realize they're crazily talented and all that, but how freaking gorgeous does Nataly look. Ahh I'm in love.
yeah I can't watch her too much- fall in love and clearly it'll go nowhere haha
Yes, they're both adorable, can't help but love them. We know Nataly's name... but who is Mr. multi-instrumentalist? Inquiring minds want to know

I think this all the time, I want to see his collection so bad.
so nice to see a married couple sharing their passion, job and lives together
Because of this video, I have come to believe that vintage looking fabric with a vignette is awesome!
It's a big step to take, so thank you for vocalizing it.
:)

This is one of my favorite covers of you guys! George Michael did a good job with this song, Rest In Peace...

+George M I hear the theme from "Duck Tails! (aaWOOooo)"

Oh god I'm not alone
I heard it and thought it was an unexpected mashup surprise!
No, howw?
they did it!! go check it out
I just can't look away or skip! This song is very refreshing.

You guys make my day bright. I'm happy to support your work in a way that's not advertisement.

Nicely done; Not only is it a great cover, but I can finally _understand the darn words_.
You two are just too dang perfect in every way. :)
Beat sounds like ELO's Mr. Blue Sky.
and the difference is that ELO was pioneers with no access to Autotune.

Wow, almost 7 years past and i'm still listening this.
your voice, and the music, and, just EVERYTHING is so good!
She looks great in this!
I always forget just how mesmerizing Nataly's voice is.
And I love the somewhat-terrifying robot "JITTERBUG"s at the beginning.
I'm supposed to appreciate the music, and I very much do...but I cant get over how perfectly beautiful this lady is. I wanna cry.
Can't stop listening to this.
Nataly's voice is so relaxing... I love it! Keep on making good music guys. SF represent!
