I always thought of this song as a test of breath control when trying to sing along with it. I had it down for over a decade between end of high school (peak of band skills) and and needing a song that took my concentration away from my first couple of jobs (that wasn't metal shouting/screaming that would tear up my voice). Amazing vocal performance on those incredibly difficult lines! This must be some pop music equivalent of Mozart's "Queen of the Night" aria in classical music. Great job, very expressive despite the technical challenge, and great musicality from all the band.

@@RWEaurelius He is right. This is not the best song to show her "vocal skills." It would've been better if her voice was autotuned (voice boxed) to shit like the OG song. You guys are genius and you made my day and probably my weeks. Is there a physical copy i can maybe buy of this to support you guys and put it on my shelf?
Greetings from Austria
Whoopp Whoopp!
It's ok but the song is made to be sing with the autotune. I know that is more simple but if you don't have a robotic voice the song sucks
@@guarcellos2984 More than 114k people disagree with you, the song clearly does not "suck". You're entitled to your own opinion, obviously, but your comment seems less opinion and more just a rude dismissal.
You forgot this my guy 2:33
@@ceciliaxx sorry I shouldn't say that the song sucks, I should say that I prefer the original because I prefer the robotic voice of Daft Punk. :) Bye
I always thought of this song as a test of breath control when trying to sing along with it.
I had it down for over a decade between end of high school (peak of band skills) and and needing a song that took my concentration away from my first couple of jobs (that wasn't metal shouting/screaming that would tear up my voice).
I was very excited to see someone else attempt it!
I'm surprised you did so well with only a couple of weeks of practice. :)
Great Job!
Goosebumps already during the intro. You guys are amazingly tight, and the mixing and sounds are .... beyond. And then the singing starts - I can't even. Solid talent.
Those 12-step vocal jumps are INSANE! Much respect.
Production quality for these vids deserves huge praise, and your passion cuts right through the mix! Love
There are no words to describe how much i miss Daft Punk and you have so seamlessly filled that void in my life. Hugs and kisses. Thank you so much wonderful voices of joy.
Hi Leslie My honest and sincere apologies for invading your privacy abruptly. I was going through a comment when I came across your comment I was fascinated and became interested in knowing you, I'll be so glad if you send me a mess. @@Raymondgogolf Hi Raymond good evening, if you don’t mind can we be friends.
This is probably the best cover version ever made of any song. Totally made it their own while keeping the vibe. The last section when it unleashes to pure funcky souly goodness gives me tingles. Such a tight band and amazing vocalist.
That's just silly
Agree
The syncopation in this song was so strong it rebooted my brain, and now the stride of my left leg is longer than the right leg.
When daft punk has stopped making music pomplamoose is our light in the dark
Jacks face just proves he loves everyone and everything happening in that room. Fantastic
This was so necessary. Daft Punk and Pomplamoose. What an incredible combination.
I just realised why Nataly and Jack are perfect for each other. Nataly barely emotes while Jack does enough emoting for both of them.
Yeah, that must be it
Also Jack's face on keys is everything. This needs to be a silhouette print on a shirt. 10/10 would purchase!
1:59 what an amazing vocal performance, I can't even imagine myself trying that¡¡¡
Amazing vocal performance on those incredibly difficult lines! This must be some pop music equivalent of Mozart's "Queen of the Night" aria in classical music. Great job, very expressive despite the technical challenge, and great musicality from all the band.
Some of the best parts of their vids, is the pure joy on Jack Conte's face.
Sitting here listening to this for the fifth time in a row - THIS ROCKS!
listening again :D
You’re that Angie King
And again I fell in love with thé chorist
ANGIEEEE!
Yeah this is a weekly habit now...
Heeeeyy!
IT IS AMAZING!!!!!! 5 TIMES IN A ROW!!!I can't stop listening this. With all my respect to Daft Punk , you guys made this better than original! Thank you!
Theirs are alway better than original :)))))))))))))))))
I have probably listened to this 5+ times, and while I LOVE each of the different parts of this cover, the bassist just truly brings me back each time. Keep being awesome, all of you!!! You truly make some killer music videos and I LOVE to watch them!!!
Internet: This song is vocally impossible.
Nataly: Hold my beer.
Are you an idiot? That was as far away from impossible as possible...! She delivered a complete noob performance! Her "singing skills" are absolutely underwhelming! Did you ever hear a trained and competent vocal performer? It does not sound like this...! LOL!!!
@@hansdumbf7608 Holy. Dude are you ok?
@@RWEaurelius Yes... i am absoltely fine. Thanks.
Hans Dampf uh, okay?
@@RWEaurelius He is right. This is not the best song to show her "vocal skills." It would've been better if her voice was autotuned (voice boxed) to shit like the OG song.
I don't really like this cover of the song. Sure, her voice is better than a normal human being's, but it would be really plain if the backing vocal wasn't there.
Every time I watch this (which is far too much), I wish I could smash that like button more than once. This is my favorite cover of a great tune, often covered. :)
I love Jack's facial expressions in these videos!! He looks like he's so happy and having a blast! 😆😂🤣
4:18, "...and then I run out of breath." Tenacious D "Inward sing" it! It'll work.
The camera should just stay on keys. Those faces he makes. THOSE FACES!
"One two... Four three."
It's all good, I like your style.
Un deux quatre trois un deux six sept

4:07 Impressive. The entire group is, why am I only today learning of them? Well, the fact that I do now know of them means today is going to be a good day!
Jack has the best stank face, no contest.
I dunno lol their bassist really scrunches up when he gets stuck in 😊
I dont think he has any other face
His face is my spirit animal
Idk. Rett Madison’s and Cory Wong’s are up there.
Best Wario impression
Wow. This is an incredibly difficult song to cover the Pomplamoose way and you absolutely nailed it!
Pomplamoose is indie music at its best. At 1.43 million subscribers and 9.5 million views of this song, obviously you have found a winning formula on UA-cam. You are now a major artist...can't wait to see and hear your next creation.
"At 1.43 million subscribers and 9.5 million views of this song" youre no longer "indie"
Fantastic! I have never heard of this band, just stumbled upon them. Such great musicians. Also love the energy the keyboardist brings, cant get enough of that haha
A cover that makes Daft Punk sound more like Daft Funk? I dig it.
Wow! Just wow. How did they manage to pull that off. Sick basslines, so good arrangements, and vocals from a different universe
It was the French she abuse's her power all the time/
“mom”
- I asked my 2-year old daughter to comment on this video because this is her favorite tune and the comment above was hers. We watch and listen to your videos whenever she’s upset or throwing a tantrum. She prefers binge listening to your music rather than watch nursery rhyme videos. This might seem unusual, but your music and your videos help me and my kid go through most of our tough moments as a father-toddler daughter tandem. So a big thank you for helping me with parenting.
PS. My daughter loves those close-up shots of Nataly.
Jack fills my heart with so much joy I could burst. Love Pomplamoose so damned much 🥰🥰🥰
I love seeing musicians jam like this! It seems like you guys are having the time of your life :) Thank you for this!
Everyone is talking about Nat but talk about the snare tho
S N A R E Action
@@RyuuTsubasa THE SNARE!! "Boss! Boss! The snare!!" I loved the snare SO much!!! Funky CoMadina!! Okay, not really, BUT WOW! That was funky awesome! 👊💥🖐💥✊
Whoever mixes these is my MVP.
I was just going to comment on the snare too. I stopped the video to see if I could see any electronic triggers. It sounds gated. Is there a electronic trigger or is it done in Post? Great snare sound.
I've loved daft punk, especially Discovery, for quite awhile. This is a great version of this song! Thoroughly enjoyed it.
By now I must have contributed approx 1000+ views of this! This is an amazing cover and makes me feel so funky :D the vocals on this are insane!!
Jesus those vocals...
"Enough cameras on Nataly?"
"Naaaaaaaah!"
tallaussiebloke in fairness, she deserves the attention because her performance in this is no joke
Her dancing at 00:21 is absolutely amazing!
Great use of the “ride” and “crash”. ....how about some smiths or Morrissey for your wicked guitarist to lick.
No. The Smiths and Morrisey are terrible.
Kohl Martin ....good stuff kohl
@@merlinthebikewizard4392 What a hot take. You're such a contrarian, your mom should be proud!
@@Deathshuck No, u.
As a pianist I can only love the groove going on for the dude playing keyboard. Overall great work, love all of your stuff! Keep it going!
This is by far the most creative cover I've seen yet. Though the funk jazz cover I spotted was also pretty good this one is much more true to the source but still unique.
How is this even possible. There are no breaths in between the words and syllables. It seems to be in tune also which is even more unbelievable
These musicians are an absolute joy to watch and listen to !
I can't stop watching this. Completely insane vocal talent.
The guitarist naaaaaailed it with the solo section!!!
Y'all are just so sweet, just talented as the day is long. Keep America beautiful.
