Where did you get the silnylon?

Really impressive. I have the same machine as you (love it) but your stuff is way neater than mine. 270g is awesome. I'm making a polycro tarp atm. How do you find the sizing on this? Could you sleep under a 1.5m tarp in the rain?

BrumCraft thanks its taken me some time to get that good but still looking to get neater.I built the tarp for a friend so waiting for feed back on how well it works out.for me I would go bigger that way I could go without a bivi bag.Next tarp will be for my hammock 3m x3m maybe cat cut will see then I will look to make a Cuban fibre one.

love the needlework you do.good stuff & a great job done too!i recently brought a down quilt & went up the cut for a the night.i used dd 3x3 tarp in a tent shape.had loads of condensation to the point it dripped all over my new quilt making it practically useless.i was not a happy bunny lol.have you any advice on what i can make a cover out of please to eliminate this problem?i dont have a sewing machine nor know anyone that does either so while im saving up for one,i might try & hand stitch one together.atb t

el 66 First up see if you can spray a dwr on to your quilt this will increase its water resistance, then you need to look at a highly breathable fabric like pertex quantum this will help. try to stay away from waterproof breathable fabric as they arent breathable enough.you could just sew up one end and put the end of your quilt in but its hard to do by hand sewing.

thanks for that.after speaking to the company i got it from,i decided to send it back & look for another one.it simply wasnt warm enough.il look into this pertex too.i dont mind trying to hand sew a bag for it & i had thought of doing as youve suggested,by sewing sewing one end & putting a quilt in it.thanks again for your help.atb trev

Why would you use the Union Jack if you are Irish?

the best way to hold parts until you sew them is double sided tape
