And Tyson lost twice in the 1984 Olympic Games trials for the US Boxing Team's heavyweight spot to Henry Tillman (who went on and won that division gold medal). He went away for a number of years on a rape charge, his mentor and father figure passed away, his daughter passed away, and there's been recent reports of him using a cane and a wheelchair to get around.
had a great career early on but got consumed by drugs and lost his way in his mid 20's and was never rhe same animal, turned his life around in his late 40s early 50s but he says himself his career was ruined
The title of this video is very misleading Mike Tyson had a wonderful career and even though he didnt leave boxing in the most glamourous way he still managed to turn his life around and become a positive happy person for himself and his kids
he's the first to admit that he hasn't changed.....he's just as confrontational, aggressive & triggered as ever.....it's the fact that he's 57, high all the time, heavily traumatised & far less vulnerable. when he had vast wealth, as a young man, he had no idea what to do with it nor implement use of it for ideas that concerned him....instead, e bought million dollar watches, mansions, jewels, exotic pets, a trophy, gold-digger wife & financed the expensive lifestyles of his highly populous entourage....diamonds for his security guys, cars for his hairdresser but nothing for the kids in the neighbourhood he grew up in. he was young, naive, vulnerable & exploited. Now, he says he is on a budget & will never be rich again, but let's be fair, he's very wealthy compared to the average guy, just not in comparison to his peak fortune.
Iron Mike was finished after the Berbick fight. He had the tools still but lacked the motivation. Some of that old spark returned for the rematch with Bruno but that was pretty much it. He would've been top 5 OAT if he had the discipline
The only reason that the rematch with Bruno took place was his condition of getting the title fight against McCall. Bruno's eye was badly injured and he had a real chance of going blind in that eye if he fought again after the McCall fight.
Do you have any concept of what discipline it takes to become an elite boxer, a world champion at 20 yrs old? Do you conceive of the amount of training, skill, learning, commitment & sacrifice it takes to be the best in the world....to perfect a technique, to achieve a level of fitness that allows you to fight another supreme athlete over 12 rounds whilst withstanding hundreds of punches to head & body? mike wasn't disciplined, right?
@@EyeTunz intimidation is a psychological tactic, it's an essential part of strategy. ali was the master of it, & there was no barrier he wouldn't cross...calling joe frazier an uncle tom....i think that was the most depraved trash talk in history of the sport.....he called joe an ugly gorilla, stupid & if you consider all of this was just after ali got his license back & joe was the champion...the three years ali was suspended, joe gave ali significant donations from his purses so that he could provide for is family. now, that's bullying, spite & treachery. no one gets to be a champion from bullying...

The Peek-a-Boo Style 👊🏾💥💪🏾 Made Iron Mike ⭐invincible ⭐
There will never be another.
Yeah, very tragic, must be very very hard to be a multi millionaire.
So glad he's been given redemption from the public. Whatever went on in the past is exactly that. The man inside is finally out with Tyson & we're all the better for it💚💚. Excellent as always uncle Props👏👏
Tattooed baby Tyson made me spit my tea out 😂 simple gags are often the best. Outstanding mush keep it up
Can we have a Don King history video?
Quality video!!!
Hear ya go tko bosh! Brilliant as ever and pretty bang on as far as iron Mike goes 👏
You handled the life of a man I have great respect for with dignity and appropriate humour. Thanks mate, nice one. J.
I can honestly say, you're becoming my fave channel on UA-cam, very fucking fast :)
Was never the same after losing Cus and Rooney. What a rollercoaster tho!
Tragic career??? You having a laugh? He had a great time and still is.
Incredible bounce back n recovery in bad times! True Champion who always gets up after down! 😉😁
The title of this video is very misleading Mike Tyson had a wonderful career and even though he didnt leave boxing in the most glamourous way he still managed to turn his life around and become a positive happy person for himself and his kids
He is the best of all time
Least tragic career ever. He's well respected as a fighter and as a good, wise man.
He lost his daughter pretty tragic
"Another cheeky chomp" 😂😂
Whenever someone tells you “people don’t change” just mention Mike Tyson
he's the first to admit that he hasn't changed.....he's just as confrontational, aggressive & triggered as ever.....it's the fact that he's 57, high all the time, heavily traumatised & far less vulnerable. when he had vast wealth, as a young man, he had no idea what to do with it nor implement use of it for ideas that concerned him....instead, e bought million dollar watches, mansions, jewels, exotic pets, a trophy, gold-digger wife & financed the expensive lifestyles of his highly populous entourage....diamonds for his security guys, cars for his hairdresser but nothing for the kids in the neighbourhood he grew up in. he was young, naive, vulnerable & exploited. Now, he says he is on a budget & will never be rich again, but let's be fair, he's very wealthy compared to the average guy, just not in comparison to his peak fortune.
@@dyschromotopia where does he say he hasn’t changed?
That was great 🙂 thanks 👍
Iron Mike was finished after the Berbick fight. He had the tools still but lacked the motivation. Some of that old spark returned for the rematch with Bruno but that was pretty much it. He would've been top 5 OAT if he had the discipline
Maybe so. He’s just too soft. Relied on bullying. As soon as someone wasn’t petrified he was in trouble.
Go on uncle propa! Can you make one about old glass jaw?
