Hey Ryan, you need to add diesel anti-gel additive to your diesel heater reservoir to avoid fuel freezing. Common practice for big rig truckers operating in cold WX environments. Great video as always!
and he should turn to maximum the diesel heater at the beginning to burn the sooth and prevent build up, long term operating only on medium increasing the chance to failure.
You should insulate all your water lines and tape them up thoroughly to prevent a multitude of these elemental issues. I’ve been a plumber for over 25 years coast to coast. Keep it up 👍 ❤
Moonscape Overlook... Hanksville, Utah. beautiful country. It's like being on another planet!!! Utah is an AMAZING state!!! Come check out Vermillion Cliffs "The Wave", "Rainbow Canyon" Paria, Utah. Also, the Grand Escalante Staircase, we have some badda$$ Hoodoos!! Come back to Page Arizona/Kanab, Utah. area!!! Absolutely SPECTACULAR!!!!
lmao if I'd have just known the name of the city I would have searched and found your comment. Really happy I found it by searching Google Maps myself though.
Good on you for climbing to that little spot for a picture. I'm afraid of heights too and it would have been a solid NOPE for me. I was getting butterflies in my stomach just watching you.
One of my coolest memories from my time in the US Navy was when my ship went across the Atlantic in the late 90's, and I got to see the Hale-Bopp comet against the arm of the Milky Way on an absolutely clear and moonless night. So cool to see your pictures!
Ryan you should invest in a sleeping bag and/or an electric blanket. Also, keep one to two gallons of bottled water inside the van when the water doesn't flow.
That all was AMAZING Ryan. I really appreciated you showing and pointing out Orion and the Dippers. Thank you for taking the time to do that. I'm not aware of any other UA-camr doing it.
This is amazing! I can't wait for your videos. You're making me love America... back country even more. BTW, I make beef bulgogi now. My husband loves it. I added some chopped button mushrooms, chopped red and green cabbage left-over from St. Patty's Day. Served over jasmine rice. Oh my gosh! Deeeelicious. Thanks, Ryan. A late Slàinte to ya. 🍀☘️🍻
It's crazy. Your cMera exposes so many stars that you can't see with the naked eye. The first time I realized there were so many was overseas and looking through Night Vision goggles when I was on night watch in the military. I love it. And always love getting out and camping where there's no light pollution. Appreciate the video brother!
Watch out on those cliffs in UT, AZ and NV, your taking a huge gamble standing on the edge of those layers of sandstone. It’s natures Jenga and she sometimes wins.
I have taken pictures of some beautiful sunrises in various parts of Florida, from the east coast to nearly the west. That, sir, is the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen.
When you have the chance , buy one of the largest pair of binoculars. Then use the binoculars on occasion esp. during clear nights. Binoculars will enhance the views of many areas which you are visiting. During a clear night, aim the binoculars at the moon as well as the planets. You will find out why using the Binoculars are useful on your trips.
My husband and I are big fans of your channel! We got married in Moab Utah (corona arch). Then had an adventure shoot at the moon landing the next day in wedding attire! One of the coolest places we have ever been too as well! So cool to see you traveling the same places!
OMG! The views of everything were fantastic!!! You’re one lucky guy to be able to experience all this. We have one beautiful country. And thanks for taking us along.
I am at this campsite now. As you describe, beautiful and terrifying. You were very brave going out on that rock. I did not. I took a picture of it and imagined myself there. Nice gem of a spot away from the crowds. Cheers to you and your travels!!
Ryan always pushing the limits to get the best shots. Great job but please stay away from those cliffs while wearing arguably the most slippery pair of sandals in the world. You need some slip on hiking shoes because I know you dont like tying your shoes😜. My Dad of two boys mode is kicking in. Fun video and beautiful scenery. Safe Travels 👊
With your diesel heater fuel tank in your engine bay you might consider running your engine until it heats up before you go to bed when you anticipate sub freezing temperatures to try and stave off fuel gelling, as well as getting some anti gelling additive. Sweet campsite brother, was there last year and was blown away at sunset and sunrise. 🤙🏽
Why not throw down a thick blanket or moving blanket while cooking or cut down some pieces of moving blanket and make a bit of a removable rug or carpet for colder weather seasons, since you don't have insulation under your flooring..
In the fall of 22 I visited the Grand Canyon for the first time. Pictures do not do it justice. Got up early to experience the sunrise along with 5000 other folks who had the same idea. Was still pretty great.
When my wife and I camped at Ken’s Lake near Moab the view of the Milky Way was absolutely insane. Has to be the craziest view either of us had ever got of it. As always, much love my guy, keep it up!!
18:00...I would be reacting the exact same way you did...lol. I'm really scared of heights. But that area is so amazing...I've been in the area but not the exact part you were in. The western part of the U.S. is so cool and beautiful. Now that you have so much experience in your van you should do a re-build series on your channel...change out everything you would have done in the beginning if you knew better. I'm sure heated flooring would be high up on that list.
Everything freezes at negative temp. Been there many times. A hairdryer works pretty well to thaw water pipes. Keep one on hand in winter and your pipes and sweet hair will thank you.
Thanks for sharing your journey with us I will probably never get to see the country like you do in person. Your content is amazing been a fan since the beginning God bless stay safe ❤❤❤
I live in NC..I love these videos, had to bingewatch all of them this week..watxmched the Alaska ones twice...I like Hipcamp helps find free places to camp.
Yes, commented on one of your older videos.. your Voyager tattoo is so awesome! That is why I immediately followed your channel! I bought the whole dang Voyager box set on vinyl a few years ago which is just so nerdy and rad as hell.
The first time I went out west I was driving from Utah into Nevada on !-80. I had heard you could see many more stars so I got off the Interstate a little ways, got out of my car, and looked up. I got vertigo and for a few seconds felt like I was falling UP into the sky.
i love your vids i live in trinidad an tobago in the caribbean , you go to some of the most beautiful places , where it have really nice views one suggestion you should buy a 25x100 binoculars an let us get views through the bino an since you love astronomy like i do you will get really nice astro pics through it or buy a good telescope to do astrophotography an make it part of your vidows love your channel keep up the good work
Hey Ryan, you should get an Air Fryer, the kind with the door in front of it, we love ours and use it a lot. Maybe a new coffee maker too. 😊🥰 We LOVE your show, you go to so many interesting places. Take care and stay safe. 🕊
Ryan I have been thru all that area in Utah...Head to Moab.....and Get on Cruise Control w/ the Cameras ! Love You Bro ! Such Awesome Experiences You Share !! God Bless !
Hey Ryan my wife and I just got back from a road trip. We flew to Vegas and rented a car to start our trip. The drive from Flagstaff to Zion was amazing (hwy 89) the landscape changes so much and so fast it is mind blowing! Good luck on your travels. Utah just may be my favorite place.
I drove from Vegas to Zion myself and obviously wondered from the mountains how anybody who strayed off the well-known path through the mountains ever would have made it.
Seeing your Kokopelli coffee cup, reminded me of a Kokopelli stick (3’ for yard) I got an elderly neighbor. He didn’t know what it was and called a library to ask them. So I get home for work a week later and I hear his booming voice yelling from across the street “THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MY GOD OF FORNICATION!” I cringed as several neighbors heads popped up in the neighborhood. Kokopelli’s job in Indian tribes was to initialize young men and women into their next phase of life, adulthood. 😂
I loved the stars bit! I'm also a big space geek, I have the hydrogen atoms switching their electron pole tatood on my arm, also from the Sounds of Earth golden disk. I had to skip your explanation of what Voyager was simply from how many god damned times I've told that exact same story at a party over the years lol. Great video, cheers!
That intake needs an actual sealed particulate filter for that intake considering its location and the terrain you frequently are traveling through. Unless you want to keep buying new heaters and or getting error codes
An excellent video Ryan...actually, I think it is one of your better ones...thanks so much for all the efforts you put into your videos and i am glad you did not have any major problems from it freezing....take care and stay safe!
😮wow amazing landscape! It does look like a different 🌍 planet…. I had butterflies looking over that cliff 😅 looks like fun! I had no idea it gets that cold there🥶
Been watching your channel for the past couple of weeks. Love the vibe of your videos. Makes me wanna sell everything and go all in vanlife :) Love the starlapse segment!
You could get a collapsible pipe, kinda like you would use as exhaust on your dryer just so you could run emergency heat to your garage from the diesel heater
this is like an anxiety powerhouse vid, keeping the door open in -4, standing at the vertigo cliffs haha
Bros living on the edge😭😭
Hey Ryan, you need to add diesel anti-gel additive to your diesel heater reservoir to avoid fuel freezing. Common practice for big rig truckers operating in cold WX environments. Great video as always!
I second this comment.

Just got home from a long day at work. Picked up some good food, and get home to a Ryan video?! Hell yeah!
Your internal dialogue when climbing out to the rock to take that picture was amazing! 😂
Thank you for reminding me what the stars truly look like. When I was younger I loved astronomy. All my book reports were on the solar system
Appreciate this comment so much, I was trying my hardest to find it and couldn’t
lmao if I'd have just known the name of the city I would have searched and found your comment. Really happy I found it by searching Google Maps myself though.
Good on you for climbing to that little spot for a picture. I'm afraid of heights too and it would have been a solid NOPE for me. I was getting butterflies in my stomach just watching you.
Yeah, I agree about a fear of heights. That would have been a big "Not in this lifetime", no!😂😂
@DenainWyo Oh em gee SAME for me. Hard pass.
I say God made me short so I dont do heights. Nope.
One of my coolest memories from my time in the US Navy was when my ship went across the Atlantic in the late 90's, and I got to see the Hale-Bopp comet against the arm of the Milky Way on an absolutely clear and moonless night. So cool to see your pictures!
You should have a throw rug for your floor for when it gets cold. Would be much better for your feet.
Or at least some slippers that he keeps within reach instead of having no idea where they are.
You should have parents, that love you.
Ryan you should invest in a sleeping bag and/or an electric blanket. Also, keep one to two gallons of bottled water inside the van when the water doesn't flow.
Next time at walmart go to the automotive section..They have additives to keep your diesel heater fuel from gelling
I love the places you go to camp. I live life seeing things I don't know if I'll ever see through your videos, so thank you so much for your videos.
That all was AMAZING Ryan. I really appreciated you showing and pointing out Orion and the Dippers. Thank you for taking the time to do that. I'm not aware of any other UA-camr doing it.
Get a rug for the floor it will help Lots!!
Who's Lots? Ryan's the one who needs help for his feet!
Thanks for letting us ride along... this is my favorite channel... look forward to your videos
Holy moly when you walked up the edge of the cliffs I instinctively leaned back from the screen. Amazing views.
was feeling down but Ryan saves the day!
17:50 your best moment on this channel, keep traveling with thousand of people looking through your eyes, Ryan
Another great vid, Ryan. Loved the mini-camper build videos, when can we see the interior of the camper?
It's crazy. Your cMera exposes so many stars that you can't see with the naked eye. Spectacular. "I love my job" says it all.

Or a telescope!🔭
@@joellepatry493 exactly! In a place like he was in you would be able to see everything on a cloudless night so clearly.
Don’t forget to look into the sun with them too
@@bck_02and don’t forget to stare into someone’s anal too
Binoculars

the landscape of the US and its sheer size never fails to amaze me....absolutely stunning

My stomach dropped when you walked out for the photo!
How little he looked. Really could see the “height“.
Ryan always pushing the limits to get the best shots. Great job but please stay away from those cliffs while wearing arguably the most slippery pair of sandals in the world. You really have a blast there, Ryan! 😁 😂😁
Can you make a stop in Flagstaff, AZ and visit the Lowell Observatory? It is an amazing experience.
Why not throw down a thick blanket or moving blanket while cooking or cut down some pieces of moving blanket and make a bit of a removable rug or carpet for colder weather seasons, since you don't have insulation under your flooring..
Man that first viewpoint you pulled out on at the cliff when you arrived was amazing
The area your at” oh my gosh” it’s awesome. Holy smokes. Beautiful.
Peace and quiet no people what more could you want. Scenery that you cant find anywhere else. Beautiful sir as always. SJ
In the fall of 22 I visited the Grand Canyon for the first time. Pictures do not do it justice. Got up early to experience the sunrise along with 5000 other folks who had the same idea. Was still pretty great.
The night sky is something that many people don’t appreciate.. and it’s literally so breathtaking. What a cool video to share thanks!
The star pics were awesome. Love the night sky❤

Those photos of the stars were AMAZING. I could sit outside at night and stargaze for hours - never gets boring.
YES, wonderful shots you took Ryan, I love looking at the stars too, can’t see much in the city, or even any where close by the city.
Thanks for sharing your journey with us I will probably never get to see the country like you do in person. Your content is amazing been a fan since the beginning God bless stay safe ❤❤❤
I haven't seen the Milky Way since camping outside Mosb Utah in 1994. Thanks for sharing this moment.❤ it.
Super nice spot, the view, silence and absolutely no one around, seems unreal. Must be an incredible experience. Thanks for sharing 😊
Another top location! Never miss a Ryan Twomey adventure
I live in NC..I love these videos, had to bingewatch all of them this week..watxmched the Alaska ones twice...I like Hipcamp helps find free places to camp.

Utah is the coolest state ever. I can’t wait to go back again.
One of the great things about your channel is you don't dramatize things like other channels do Clickbait crap you know what I mean great videos, man
Hey Ryan, you should get an Air Fryer, the kind with the door in front of it, we love ours and use it a lot. Maybe a new coffee maker too. 😊🥰
We LOVE your show, you go to so many interesting places. Take care and stay safe. 🕊
Get one of those 12v warming pads people use for their backs and put it on the ground on cold mornings
I loved the astrophotography part. I watch all your videos, I would really enjoy you doing more photos of the night sky during your adventures.
You can also rinse your mouth out or gargle with water for about 30 seconds a couple of times that helps the coffee stands also.
Mother Nature at her best. Beautiful video!
Thank you for sharing the dark sky and stars!
Dude those star pics and explanations were the greatest! Appreciate those as most of us will never see! Thanks
Thank you for taking us everywhere you go on your adventures keep us good work bro
Beautiful view. I remember the Grand Canyon at sunset. It was spectacular. I image your view was similar.
You standing there on the rock was awesome!!!

Your description of how cold you were make me laugh hard😂some days are like that...take care.
That transition where you turned up the radio to cue the montage was tough 🔥

I’m afraid of heights too, you did awesome!
Yeah, totally looked cool out on that rock point! Good stuff man.
That took my breath away! Beautiful view of that canyan!
So amazing & breathtaking those stars ✨love astronomy 🔭 . Thank you 🙏🏻 for sharing through all your travels. Stay safe & God Bless💗
Star shots were incredible. Would love to see more
Van is looking amazing! I would add a few more succulents (plants) though if I were you to add some more life to your van.
Damn Ryan I’m so jealous!! Great views
Antigel for diesel might be a good idea, sold by the quart. Cheap insurance for staying warm.
I love southern Utah. The terrain is so diverse.
Awesome video with great views. Thank you for getting up early to share the sunrise with everyone. 😊
the night time photos were an awesome added touch. look forward to hopefully you adding more of those in the future!
That intake needs an actual sealed particulate filter for that intake considering its location and the terrain you frequently are traveling through. Unless you want to keep buying new heaters and or getting error codes
man those views were spectacular! I hope one day I can do a road trip across Canada and the US to take photos of all the stunning views
Beautiful scenery but, holy crap my stomach dropped when you walked out on that ledge
An excellent video Ryan...actually, I think it is one of your better ones...thanks so much for all the efforts you put into your videos and i am glad you did not have any major problems from it freezing....take care and stay safe!
That's amazing. And here I am who has never seen snow
Hey Ryan! Love your channel. Do you ever think about totally cleaning your WHOLE van inside and out?
You could get a collapsible pipe, kinda like you would use as exhaust on your dryer just so you could run emergency heat to your garage from the diesel heater
