    Amanda, the pinafore looks great on you. I love the things you make. I wanted to say that the vlog you made showing how/when you sew was incredible. No wonder you make so much as you are so committed. Wonderful.

    I really love your Pippi Pinafore. After I seen Rachel and Nikki's video I decided to make it and having seen yours too I'm definitely going to make it. I haven't bought it yet but will soon. I think your Libby blouse is lovely too and would go with your Pinafore. I do love the colour of your ruffle top. That material looks lovely. Thanks as always for sharing and I look forward to seeing you plans video xx

    Lovely makes, as always. Well done Amanda! It looks like Jennifer Lauren has done it again with her pinafore pattern. Just like her Afternoon blouse, sometimes the simplicity of a make (in this case, the waist shaping) actually gives it an added 'wow' factor. 🤓

    Love the structure of the pinafore so a good fit on you, great there are different cup sizes. Must get one of her patterns to give this a go. Lovely makes as always and the mustard top really suits you.😊

    Ah that Pippi pinifore is lush! Another pattern to add to my long list lol. Also love your Butterick top. I have bought this pattern since watching your previous vlog so just get on with making it before summer runs out. I always found the waist large on the Cleo so I graded from a smaller size there to the next size up for the hips xx

    Another great review and make Amanda 🤗. Having also made a couple of the Jennifer Lawrence dresses I have to agree wholeheartedly that her patterns and instructions are first rate. I did laugh when you said you're going to make a pale pink one because I've got some pale pink cotton drill that I found in a charity shop which I had earmarked for that pattern - twins! Lol👭👭

    I say the same thing in every one of your makes videos, but only because it's true-I love all of your makes, Amanda! The Pippi Pinafore is a flattering shape on everyone and fits you perfectly. The tops are lovely as is the Rosie dress-beautiful fabric choices. Thanks for sharing all of your fab makes. Looking forward to your August plans.

    Lovely makes Amanda. With the Cleo dress I’ve always made the waist more fitted so it doesn’t gape. Just has to go over your head😆I’ve made it like this for 3 other women too and seems to work well.😘

    Hi Amanda, I love your pinafore and it fits you perfectly 👍. Your pattern test dress looks amazing too and I bet you get lots of wear out of that 😍. I really like the Sew Over It blouse and might have to give that a go one day. I haven't chosen a pattern yet this year from the PDF club, so that one might be my choice 😉. Thanks again for sharing your lovely makes Amanda and happy sewing 😊💞😘

      Hi Sally, thank you so much for your kind words I really appreciate it. I really love the Libby and have heard that Sew Over It now have a blog post to accompany the pattern which helps with the collar construction which is what I found tricky. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment xx

    The Pippi is so cute on you. I love all your makes and everything is really lovely. As you continue to sew, are you starting to find managing your closet and fitting everything in a bit of an issue? Or are you good at moving things out that aren’t getting worn much (or are starting to show signs of wear and dont look as nice)? I have been knitting pretty much every day for over 10 years and am sewing regularly now too. Hand knits are quite bulky (even lightweight yarn) so they take up more room but I bought tubs and put all my handknits in there. Now I am finding my cupboard of just normal pants and tops and dresses is getting quite compressed with all the sewing i am doing. Obviously it is good to knit or sew down stash but then when they end up in the wardrobe, you start to run out of room there!! How do you manage keeping all of your makes into an amount that fits in the wardrobe? I would love some tips. I am guessing I need to get rid of some of my earlier sewing makes that aren’t getting worn anymore but just wondering if that is what you do. Thanks so much for your lovely, inspiring podcast. :)

    Hi Amanda, in a way I am so glad that you had problems with the collar stand on the Libby blouse! I have been sewing for many years and encountered a variety of collar/collar stand constructions. The See Over It version almost had me stumped. As you say the photos are of a lightly printed and busy print which makes trying to fathom out what to do a real struggle. Like you I managed it in the end but for the next Libby will try an alternative method. As always a great blog and you have inspired me to get cracking with my Pippi pinafore dress - if only the weather would cool down a little! Happy stitching from Caroline of ceegeeinstitches.

    • @ISewALot
      @ISewALot  6 років тому

      Hi Caroline, I am glad I am not alone with the Libby shirt!!! I have seen that there is now a blog post to accompany the pattern which deals with the collar construction which I totally would have checked out had I known it was there as I am sure it will help. Whilst I had trouble with it I do love how it looks and definitely have another planned especially now I know how to do it!! Definitely crack on with the Pippi as I am totally in love with mine. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment xx

      Great makes as always. I read yr blog re the Libby Shirt of Sew over it , I agree as I too am having problems with the collar stand . I have unpicked it several times . I did not find the instructions easy to follow infact rather confusing. I shall unpick again and try to finish it my way maybe I will get a better result 🙏hopefully! I really like this shirt and am dying to wear it .

    • @ISewALot
      @ISewALot  6 років тому

      Hi Jackie, I used the same denim as I used here. It is from Sew By the Sea in Margate. She has it online and it is the 8oz light blue denim. I really love it so much. Thanks for watching xx

      It’s the ones with the Libby shirt. The fabric looks lighter and more like a linen

      Jackie Harrison Oh sorry, they aren’t Landers they are McCall’s 7547 and the denim is stretch denim from Higgs and Higgs 😘😘😘
