Great pattern review, Nikki and Rachel! I really like how your fabric choices/layout showcase different versions of the garment and that you provide helpful construction tips. I'm very interested in seeing other versions-especially the skirt hack.

Fab review and has made me seriously consider a pinafore. Like the idea of the shaped bib as have ‘les poitrines ecossais’. Also known as the Scottish bosom. Which presents a challenge with unfitted bibs or tops. Absolutely cackled as your dog started to seriously like Rachel....Friday morning joy.

Bought the pattern but haven't made it yet. Thought I might skip the crossover straps and make a bib for the back part. Do like the pleats and the darts for contours. Thanks for a very nice review!!

    • @StitchSisters

spatch1000 you could repeat the bib in the back, that would be cute !

With as many button/buttonholes that you do - have you ever considered/see the SimFlex Expanding Sewing Guage? It's a spacing device good for buttons/buttonholes/shirring/pleates/smocking, etc. I just bought one from Amazon and love it! Cute pinafore's on each of you. Love your anchor buttons Rachel. I'm making the McCalls 6696 shirtdress in a navy lightweight stretch denim with white anchors all over it. I just found some white shirting with navy anchors on it as well! I'm going to put red buttons on mine too - loved it on you.

Great video as always! I was definitely eyeing this pattern up when it came out and was just about to ask how it compared to the Cleo as I was thinking that it looked like a more hourglass friendly Cleo - but question answered and decision made! :) thanks ladies!

Thank you Rachel for comparing it to the Cleo. I made the Cleo and it looked lack a sack sadly. It needs the darts and waist for shaping. I might try this! Did you find the bid to be a smaller size compared to the Cleo? The Cleo is a great pattern it is just not for my body shape 😕

    • @StitchSisters
