Love you info it’s helped me with my soursop and other fruit trees . I’ve been looking for the Ilama and phet pakchong every where only hear ghost stories about some one buying one every so often and how they are all sold out. You gave me a place in Cali that use to sell them but same thing. One day I hope to find them lol.

Can you do a video comparing the different Atemoya varieties?
    Flavor
    Sweetness
    Size
    Texture
    Seed quantity
    Hand pollination required
    Shelf life after ripe
Anything else you think is important.

Love your informative videos. I’m in soflo and I have a few baby fruit trees: sugar apple and sour sop. So your videos have been super helpful. Never stop talking lol. My first time trying either fruit will be when I harvest them.

I'm also in Florida. What is your favorite cultivar of Atemoya, and do you know of a place I could buy it? I only really have space to grow one and I was told that some cultivars aren't as good as others.

Es gracioso que en el sur de Colombia tambien llamamos "chirimoya" a la sugar apple. Very good video... annonaceas in gral are delicious fruits. Guanábana and Sugar apple are my favs

I just had my first taste of Atemoya today, and WOW! It was SO good!! I don't know what variety I had, but I'm definitely going to get a tree. Are all the varieties easy to keep small? You first recommended Atemoya to me on Facebook when I posted about fruit trees that can be kept small.

Your videos are pretty informative. Thank you. Just one question. Can I grow sugar apple in partial shade? In backyard I am getting only 2 hours of direct sunlight and remaining time dappled light due to trees. How many hours of sunlight do they ideally need?

Love your videos!❤️ I tried these for the first time exactly one year ago. I liked the taste so much that I decided to plant the seeds. I ended up with 3 seedlings that are doing ok I think, even though I'm not sure if the Mediterranean climate that we have is suitable for them. They're probably a little smaller than they should. The thing is, I'm actually having doubts whether they're sugar apples or atemoyas. Where I bought the fruit they were labeled as cherimoyas but I'm almost sure they weren't. (We don't have this fruit here in Greece) When I bought them I thought they were all sugar apples but thanks to your videos I realized that cherimoyas, atemoyas and sugar apples are all different species. My fruit looked a lot like the first atemoya you tried in this video. Could I perhaps email you you some pictures of the little trees and tell me what you think? I even have a picture of the fruit that their seeds came from. Many thanks!

Thanks for the support! If you would like you can send me a photo of your seedlings to see what Annona they are, Atemoya seedlings usually have a variable outcome in their leaf size etc. My email is GardenHarleyFL@gmail.com.

Hey Harley, do you protect your annonas during winter, like wrapping them?

    • @gardenflorida

I do not protect my Annonas in the winter. In Florida and in my zone Bradenton 9b it is not necessary.
