Beautifully played Kelly! Great tutorial- this is exactly where I want to go with my playing, but have been struggling. Your explanation really helps.💡Thanks so much!
Hey Wanda! If you're just getting rolling with it try adding a few hammer ons here and there as embellishments - in no time you go from that to the full melody...and in the meantime just the embellishments will be a nice addition to your overall sound. Glad you enjoyed it!!
Kelly, I have just finished my practice session for the day (sore fingers :-) ) Swung over to check out your YT Channel. Excellent Lesson. I will have a go at this tomorrow. You have made it super easy to follow. Thanks Kelly.
@@fourstringstrummer The C Scale. Your fingers are like lightning Kelly. Mine so much. :-) But one thing for sure, I always learn something from every Video you put up and refer back often.
Great explanation of the process of pulling out the melody. I thought you were reading some advanced music chart, which I definitely can’t do. But now I have a much better understanding of what’s going on, which makes me want to try it. Also thanks for one of my favorite songs.
Hey Lucy! Glad you enjoyed it. It's funny people used to ask me the age old question: do you have tabs for this?? I haven't gotten that one for a while. Hope you have fun with it. To me I love it because it's a bit of a challenge and it really helps to maximize the sound available from the ukulele.
@@fourstringstrummer. That’s nice. I think it kind of sounds like my Ohana pkc-25g. I put worth clear strings on it ! Sounds nice. I like the floral inlays
@@bonniedavidson936 yes I really like the sound of this one - it has the Worth Brown strings - this is the first time I've tried them and they seem to work great on this uke
Great explanation! Beautiful song by John Denver. I first heard it by Peter Paul and Mary. ❤
Thanks! Glad you liked it! Peter Paul and Mary did a great version of this for sure.
Great lesson on how to find melody notes by ear. The song is very pretty and brings back memories of when Denver was alive. A big thank you, Kelly.
Thanks Mike! We had all his albums when were kids. Have fun!
I have only been to one live concert in my life. 1977 John Denver at Lang Park, Brisbane Qld Australia. Remember it like yesterday.

Love this song ! And that’s a nice Ohana you are playing on ! Looks lovely 😊
Thanks Bonnie! That's the CK-60CG solid mahogany, concert cutaway gloss finish. The inlays are beautiful on this one!
