Very nice video. No stupid background music or people shattering. No endless babble about you should do this or that. Just plain, to the grain execution with proper camera angles. You should do more videos like this.Thanks.
No screaming or grunting? .. no foul language that would make a prostitute blush? You sir, know what you're doing. This is my next job to tackle on my 99. She's been trustworthy and I want to keep it on the road; thanks for the tutorial. Awesome.
we tried knocking out a wheel stud and running a bolt thru it to remove the hub. The bearing ended up separating and the hub stayed in the spindle. we ended up removing the spindle and setting it face down on a few boards and putting the bolts part way in the hub and beating it with a sledge hammer from the back to get it out. These things are a huge pain in the butt.
Hey just wondering, you don't have to put grease on the bearings before installing the whole hub? Maybe you did but that part was not in the video. Or the bearings already come pre-greased? Or they don't need to be greased? And by the way, great video. I agree with previous comments, no taking no babbling, no unecesary "advice" or instructions, just great video on the angles and lighting to be able to watch it good. 👍
Good job! I really appreciate a video without all the annoying music and unneeded stupidity. When you are trying to learn something from these videos all that extra nonsense is very distracting and hard to concentrate. Thank You!!
I have a question. I have a 2002 Silverado 4X4. I had both sides replaced in Oct2012 now the drivers side is doing it again. I have read this is a common problem with this truck. Why?? Thank you for any and all help.

Agree Randall- SO thankful for the lack of profanity- a real pleasure to just watch a man work.
This may be better with verbal instruction. Thank you for posting.

This bearing hub is pre greased and sealed
@JGD16 oh ok. That's great to know. I'm looking into buying new online. I'm glad they come pre-greased. Thanks for the clarification 👍
Man that's got to suck dealing with the rust and corrosion for you Mid West and East Coast guys! , even on cars only a couple years old.
I thought I was the only person that used another wrench slipped into the mouth of a open end wrench to create a cheater bar :)

Close, on the salty roads of new England.
Try living in Minnesota
Ohio is horrible also.
Or Newfoundland by the ocean..
Three jaw puller works good getting the old hub ass. off
What brand of hub do you recommend?

Mindy Navarro You need to replace the whole hub

No need to take axle out
It looks like he had to take it out to get the ram in there so that he could push the hub out from the inside.
What size is the hub bolt?
That was a while ago I can’t remember the exact size. I’m assuming it’s metric so I would guess about an M10
36
The nut for the axle is 36mm.
Heat is yo friend
what was that torque spec at the end?
177 ft-lbs that torque spec was from the Haynes repair manual
+JGD16 10 4
