Heck ya bud can't wait
The body is a great choice 👌 👍!
Thanks! I really like it!! It’s the same body that Mark used on his build
Looking forward to this build! I recently got a slash 4x4 and I've been trying to find interesting slash mods and projects and so far you are the only UA-camr i watch to get info and help with my Slash. I'm a big fan of cheaper mods and your videos have been insanely helpful, fun and interesting, i can't wait for more slash videos.
Thanks!! I’m glad you’re enjoying the content!!
cool, can't wait to see how it turns out
Thanks! It’s definitely gonna be a learning experience
Nice build 👍
Thanks
Hot racing makes a sealed diff for the 2wd slash, it uses the stock gears as well
Thanks for the recommendation….I’ll definitely have to look into it
I'm in the final stages of building one, as well...but, instead of starting with a 2WD Slash, I discovered it's cheaper to start with a Bandit. Using the Bandit, I added the Slash LCG Conversion Kit, and then replaced the Bandit C-hubs, steering knuckles, and front axles with the Slash versions. Obviously, I've done a LOT more than that...but, that's how I started it. Even though I'm not quite finished-finished with that first car, I'm already in the pre-building steps of what will become my second NPRC drag car, this one being based on a TLR 22 5.0 1/10 2WD buggy.
Nice man! Sounds like some pretty cool builds….what bodies are you running on them?
@@RCKnockout For the TLR-car, I haven't decided yet, but I'm leaning towards the late 60s Mustang. As for the Slash/Bandit-based, I have a body...and, I'm actually blanking right now on what it is...lol
@@robbryan3044 awesome…sounds pretty cool man! 👍😉
Awesome. I have the new Traxxas Drag Slash and it's a lot of fun! Looking forward to your build.
Thanks man! Do you bash yours? Or do you compete?
@@RCKnockout Just getting started with it. I have only driven it around on the street in front of my house. Painted a couple of custom bodies for it. I’m that guy that enjoys working on them and fixing them up more than actually driving them. 😂🤣😂🤣
@@christopherrice1375 I understand….yeah sometimes when I do a build I don’t like running it the first time just cause I wanna keep it looking good….I get over it after the first run though lol 😂
@@RCKnockout 👍🤠exactly😎
You can use silicone earplugs. This is very sturdy and doesn’t leake. I use them in the central diff of the xmaxx and it’s almost locked now. Tip from Kevin talbot.
You think I could use that in the planetary diff though?
@@RCKnockout I see what you mean. I would try to put in as much as possible. Push it in all crevasses with a hex driver. After few runs open it up again and put in some more. I can not garantie it will be 100% but it is worth trying it. Worst case scenario it doesn’t work, but it will not damage anything.
@@gregory9157 true…I remember using the earplug method in my Kraton EXB diff but it didn’t hold up in that
@@RCKnockout every now and then ( every 2 weeks actually 🤣) when I smash up my xmaxx, and it needs some work, I always check it. In a total period of 6 months, only 2 times I could put in some extra.
Just try and see what it does I would say 😉👍
@@gregory9157 I might look into doing it…but I might put in a locker spool to begin with….not sure yet?
Nice build; I’ve got 2 lcg slash builds; and a dr10 build.
Arms; depend on the body. My vette body uses bandit arms and links; my grand national could use front slash arms; rear bandit arms.
Diff; I run lockers in mine; you can fill your planetary diff with JB weld and turn it into a locker.
Tires; your gonna want belted if your putting down any power; I don’t believe the MTs are belted.
Your shock towers will work great; as will the proline mounts.
Trans; in my main drag car; I’m running a hot racing hybrid case; Robinson racing hardened idler; new (black) hot racing locker inside a stock diff case.
Nice! Sounds pretty sweet…yeah I don’t believe these tires are belted….I might go the cheap way and put a locker in rather than getting an entirely new diff or transmission…how does your’s hook up running the locker?
@@RCKnockout it hooks up great; steering isn’t as good; but you don’t need turning in a drag car. If you go with a locker; go with the new black version.. the old blue version breaks
@@jeffkarr3936 what brand are you referring to?
@@RCKnockout hot racing
Hobbywing XR10 and hobbywing 3,5 turn motor
Is that the power system you run?
@@RCKnockout yes
This will be interesting. I'm doing the same thing with virtually the same parts but with the RPM gearbox and Malibu body.
Following very closely! 😁
Nice! I didn’t realize Rpm made a gearbox?? Is it fully assembled??
Rpm gearbox is good in that it has adjustable toe mounts; BUT it’s a horrible trans case as Rpms plastics flex too much and allow the gears to strip. I run the hot racing hybrid case in my main drag car.
@@jeffkarr3936 yeah I’ve had experience with some of the flexing issues with rpm products
@@RCKnockout it helps keep them from breaking in the suspension parts, I HIGHLY recommend the bearing carriers / steering knuckles and arms.. but flex in the trans case isn’t good; as it hurts the gear mesh
@@jeffkarr3936 yeah…flex isn’t good for the trans case lol 😂
I'm using a 4x4 ultimate and turning it into a high speed Rd car
Awesome! Sounds cool 😎
You should get the traxxas heavy duty driveshafts that come on the traxxas slash ultimate, had the for almost a year and never broke them
I actually already got some driveshafts for it….I think that’s actually what I got for it
@@RCKnockout I see the future😂
@@ethannunley1205 lol 😂
Maybe Hot-Racing TE38CH Sealed Aluminum Differential Case for diff upgrade.
Does that have the gears and everything installed? Or is it just the case?
I believe it's just sealed case and re-use old gears from stock diff, but since it's sealed you can use oil.
@@Hayato- I gotcha….so it’s still a planetary but I’d be able to put diff fluid in since it’s completely sealed
Do not go what banded arms wider is better Just get a octane body or a wide body
"Has way more stability"
Oh well…too late lol 😂
Nice, I've built a few also.
Thanks! What trans do you run?
All steel slash transmission. It can handle a whole lot of power.
@@josediaz9483 does it still have the planetary diff in it though?
@@RCKnockout yes just all steel housing and gears.
@@RCKnockout dude my son's and I love your videos. Keep up the great work. We do appreciate the time and effort put into your videos.
nice i have one too i need to upgrade my esc i have the vxl esc and cant tune it with non tsm contoller getting a hobbywing this winter for it i have a 6000 kv motor off amazon
Nice! That’s super high kv isn’t it? What gearing are you gonna be running?
@@RCKnockout 16 / 72 48p i have in mine right now i got the motor on amazon it was like 30 dollars
@@thomasdowneyjr.4162 I gotcha….do you compete with it?
@@RCKnockout yes im still messing with the supension not as easy as touring cars to get to go straight
@@RCKnockout its on my friends channel The Rc kid its the white car with pink racing strips the lastest vedio on his channel
It will also fit the hpi jumpshot sc
What will fit?
@@RCKnockout sorry the 69 body your using.
@@josediaz9483 oh I gotcha
