@@PherotoneStudios The limited edition player in surf pearl. Put tens on it and might swap pick guard out for a pearl white one. Other than that, no changes needed!

If you listen to early recordings, you’ll realise placement of the hard case in the studio is critical for a vintage tone.

Just came across this I’ve got the player plus tele with SS pickups but want a tele style guitar to go with it dirt with HH. Looks like the player will be a solid choice. I’ve seen loads of videos saying about how you can hear this and that but honestly with some kind of digital measuring device I can barely tell the difference. Loved the straight talking review 👍

So funny to see this. I was lookin at these AND Chapman Traditionals- I went with a Fender Player tele. Its soo basic and classic! Totally bluesy, country. Love it- BUT! I bet those Chapman necks are flawless. Im thinkin I need BOTH Now haha
Mex telecasters are awesome 🤘 no need for American to be fair unless you prefer tall frets, there's no real difference .

Debating whether to get the Player Tele with the roasted maple neck and Custom Shop Nocaster pickups for £799 or the standard player Tele for £575 🤔
Just wondering where you purchased the black pickguard for the blue tele . I've been looking online lately for a hh one and most don't fit exactly and require some aftermarket shaving down
They definitely put a black pick guard on after purchase. I’m going to do it to mine. Looks great with the tide pool colour.

I bought a black pickguard for mine from Amazon. Didn't exactly fit. I took a X-Acto knife and carved a few edges to make it fit. And got the screw holes to fall into place. It was a work.
Whats the point in playing when you have effects amps virtual or real but bound to be decent any sh+t guitar can be made to sound good if you can play well and it's supped up with a load of Fxs!!

I literally tried the player today at pmt. I couldn't getnit to stay in tune. The frets were not seated properly. The nut was poorly cut . The bottom E string kept falling off the edge of the edge of the fret board. I then tried the mim 75th anniversary edition..so much better ....apart from the colour. Out of the 2, I would have bought the anniversary model. ...but I bought a Gretsch double cut 5222 instead. I'll buy an affinity at some point and upgrade it.

Any guitar over 500 shold come with a hard case. I don't know when they stopped doing that except to make the cost of the guitar cheaper. I got screwed on my Taylor from Guitar Center and by the time I bought a hardcase I could have had the next step up better guitar. That said, I could have had the mosre expensive guitar had I relinquished the case. How's that for making sense? It's a bullshit marketing tool.
