Interesting part about Hong Kog 97 was that it was more or less made by the dev and a friend in about 2 days. Basically it was done as a satire of the video game industry and it was as bad as possible intentionally. Oh and the body is real, it's from a Mondo film and the guy was killed in the Bosnian War

I personally have made games with more substance in 1,5 days. The probable reality is that they were young and wanted to make a game, but also wasn't very experienced. They also didn't make it as satire or intentionally bad (the most common excuse people make when making something terrible), but probably since they were young, wanted some "commentary".
