I absolutely agree this is how we do it. I realized why I love Porsche after this
PodrumKaleto I agree that having the engine in the back and not showing anything is a bit of a letdown, but some of the best cars ever made don’t show their engine too. And not having to work on the car and obtaining this level of performance is a plus in my book. I love older 911 and other cars but lots of people don’t like being to the mechanic very often or using the car sparsely. It’s not a family car, taking it out once/twice a week and having to worry about the car isn’t a sacrifice may people are going to make.

I have a 992 S. It’s not that bad. Biggest issue is scuffs on the door as I get my 6’2 body into the car and keep scraping my legs/shoes on the door.

2020 when the stick shift levers are the size of a key fob.
had a chance to drive this in several models (2S, 4S) around a track and it's just a spectacular car to drive. It feels glued to the asphalt and the interior and exterior design is just such a nice improvement over the 991 models, even the 2019.

Your Sentra is so advanced that it will sometimes stop mid way on a hill and won’t go any farther, since hills are dangerous.

Got to take this for a test drive the other night and Porsche knocked it out of the park. I hate the gear shifter, but everything else is an upgrade in every way. Power is great, but the interior feels like I stepped into a spaceship compared to my 991. The transmission is the bet I have ever felt, ever.

I saw a 911 about 2 or 3 years ago and I couldn't believe my eyes, it was gorgeous! Then I saw an Aventador stopped at toll booth and I started screaming then literally fainted, I was riding next to my father and he freaked out when he saw me loosing consciousness and nearly had a high speed accident! I'll never forget those days.

Disappointed how little you put into this, it’s a stunning piece of work from Porsche
Yeah, Doug always seems kind of biased against Porsche. Making a car crazy exotic looking doesn't make it beautiful. The 911 is literally the most iconic and timeless sports car design ever.. it doesn't get much more beautiful than that.
I just took delivery of a 2023 992 in manual (F PDK). My first 911 was a new 1988 in 1988 with many more to follow and for sure this new iteration is more of a touring car as Doug says. It's very smooth and imposing.

Doug, I drive around at 12mph in heavy traffic in my Porsche with the spoiler up. Not only does it look considerably better, but you get about 10% better fuel economy if you drive with the spoiler up.

Hey Doug, the front marker/side turn signal in the front is essentially the same as the 991.1 (I have one). All you end up doing is ordering a European factory turn signal from one of the dealerships. Takes 10 seconds to swap out and you're good to go. The LED is orange so the colors are all correct when they are activated.
Same with my 997.2 and I believe the 997.1. Orange light inside, clear in the daytime.
