  • I can't see the Turn signal flashers on my dash because I'm 6'5" tall, and my bike does not have auto canceling turns signals like my old had.... This is how fixed my problem

Thx for the great teaching. I'm getting one of these real soon. Used to have a CBR1000F and miss it. Can't wait ; )

You must be pleased with yourself. Nice and easy. Well done, respect! These LED’s look great, what a fantastic idea. I did set up Healtech gear indicator and Thinkware M1 dash camera on my Pan. Took me about 6 hours to set it up. It included taking fairing off (both sides), dealing with stripped allen head bolt, figuring out the route through the frame, during the process because of frustration making idiotic mistake when routing wrong side of cable (I guided connector to the front/dash and gear LED unit towards the rear) :), struggling to take cap off red 4pole diagnostic connector. It’s a long process to figure it all out but I done it. Men like you help and inspire myself and others to fight the laziness, learn our bikes and spend more money on our Pan farkles :) Thank you!

A very nice mod' with that, from-the-factory look. Nicely done. I have however known those connectors to fail, corrosion issues mainly. I favour solder and shrink tubing two tails with spade connectors/receptors to enable easy unplugging of the whole indicator unit. Fair play to you for your great solution, really neat job.

Re: that self-cancelling turn signal point. When I bought my ST1300 one of the first things I noticed was that you had to manually turn off each signal. My previous bike was a 2003 Yamaha V-Max which had a similarly oriented button with self-cancelling feature. Has anyone tried comparing the V-Max and V65 Sabre switches to see if either one will install on the ST1300? Food for thought and a small project for one of us if we can make the time. Someone who works at a dealer handling Honda/Yamaha would be a good candidate for this.

I would walk away from the small boxes that pierce knifes into your tiny cables. It may be a good idea on some thicker cables in cars. Try follow the hot cable to a fuse or push the cable end inside the plug. On my Honda's I could not always hear the right moment to shift gear, being in traffic but there is an indication for that on most vehicles. The rev counter points in exactly the same direction as the speedometer does and at lowest or highest speed not. Look at this alignment ones and you just know when the moment is that you should or safely can assume to be able to shift up gear. One can even tell if the engine is high or low on revelations for the gear that you are in and gear indicators don't do that.

It's been a couple of years since you did this mod, do you find the lights too bright at night? Anything you would do differently?

Silly question maybe, I've got a blue pan European st1300 with no headlight on off switch on the right handle. Can you turn your headlight off? If so how? Thanks
