    Enjoyed that my friend. I have 133,000 Km on my 2017 T100. Still going strong still loving it. Riding in small numbers is best but you did it alone and that is another experience altogether....Greetings from England ....old England that is, the original

      Thank you very much for watching and commenting. Glad to here that kind of mileage on a T100. A ride I have planned is to ride over London Bridge in Lake Havasu City. Apparently, we stole it from you 😁

    I did a 4000 mile cross country trip with my triumph street twin a few years ago. Basically the same engine. The bike handled excellent. Did some 350-500 mile days. (I like no kore than 250-300 per day. Went through the desert, death valley, all temps and terrain. The bike cruised at 80, no problem for hours on end. Now with 23k on tge buje and still running and touring strong. I like a naked bike feel, but the lack of a windshield did wear on ne after a few thousand. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Ride safe.

    Sin City... The cooler weather sounds good about now, its been 100 plus for the last 30 days it seems in Texas and too damn hot for riding scooters. It looks like that T100 scoots pretty good on the highway. I sure like the soundtrack too. I guess for 500 miles in the saddle, the seat must be plenty good because you didn't mention anything bad. Do you miss any wind protection?

    • @azdesertdog

      It sure would depend on what shade of brown. There's a bunch of choices. I think they make one called saddle. It depends on the manufacturer. Triumph really dies a great job with paint.

    Nice travelogue, man! But tell us, what kind of gas mileage did that Triumph give you? I've made long trips on my 883 Sportster, and it would routinely give me 55-60 mpg. I've been thinking about trading it for a T-100 Bonneville, and I wonder if the gas mileage will be similar.

    • @azdesertdog
      @azdesertdog  3 місяці тому

      Thanks! I got between 40 and 45 MPG. Consistent throttle control is key. Freeways hear are 75MPH that has a negative effect on MPG. I made a trip to Utah recently and got in the 50s those roads were sub 65MPH.

  • @triumphrider9796
    @triumphrider9796 Рік тому +1

    Nice ride, except for that Vegas traffic! Hoover Dam didn't have the speed humps when I was there, at least ten years ago (car trip, wife doesn't ride). The Bonnie is perfectly capable of long distances; what was your actual trip time? End of July I was up in central PA to visit family, diverted north into NY on the way home, that trip was close to 500 miles, around 16 hours or so, think that's my longest single ride on the Bonnie (thought a few years back I rode up there in the morning, then my brother and I did a 300-mile loop to see Pine Creek Gorge, and with the trip home next day that was around 700 or so total). I've stretched a 250 mile trip on a fairly direct route into near 400 using back roads, on both the Bonnie and the Daytona. But my personal view of what a long trip is was established long ago when riding from DC-LA and back, and 500 miles is NOT a long day when you've done much longer (my longest ever in 24 hours was Marshfield, MO to Albuquerque (don't know the exact mileage but around 900 or more); might have exceeded that distance on the way back, Ft. Smith AR to DC, but that took somewhere over thirty hours). Longest with the newer bikes has been DC-Nashville, about 14 hours on the Daytona, could have gone further but that was the destination!

    • @azdesertdog
      @azdesertdog  Рік тому

      Thank you. The Vegas trip was around 10 hours. I find 600 to 650 miles and 11 to 12 hours comfortable even on my KTM. My usual MO is to ride to an off road area like MOAB ride a few hundred miles off road then head home.
