My dad’s favourite boxer..RIP pops and to all the lost dads on this Father’s Day..
Yes sir! Well stated 👍🏻 one of my favorite boxers of all time because of his killer instinct to survive and to bang with anyone. Hard to not respect a fighter of this character atleast from a fight perspective I’m sure as anyone knows having this gift comes at a price which Roberto knew. I having a feeling he quit on the sugar fight because he was done fighting in life no longer had hate to burn as fuel. That’s my theory but maybe I’m over thinking things. 🤷♂️, and way sorry about your father RIP, much respect.
@@joshreynolds729he don't quit from that sir,he partied too much after the first fight and after the fight was set for 1 month prep he cutted his weight painfully and binge eats before the fight even, and at the time he quit he got stomach cramps and extreme embarassment, too bad for him but yeah, his fault...
@@TheNeorch yeah that’s right he was a big party animal. 👍🏻 yeah seems like all the good ones had issues.
@@joshreynolds729 I mean, you're not wrong, sugar ray's style deteriorated with age and the injuries ended his prime, marvin was never the same after the fight with mugabi,he became a slow slugger instead of a slick counterpuncher that was reminiscent of Roberto Duran, Duran is yeah..party animal, and Tommy had a bad chin and instead of improving his defense and outboxing,he decides to slug it out, he's a warrior for that tho
@@TheNeorch right! Very true. Wish we had more boxers today of that caliber. Some of these fights they really went to war.
Miss these types of classic fights!
Daveys corner should of thrown in the towel way before it was stopped.
I love watching this fight, Duran's style is pure class.
Happy father's day fellas
Happy birthday manos de piedra and all the dads 'round the world,ya guys are not just hands if stone, but hearts and service if stone too!😄😄😄
Hands of stone 👊🏼
As many times I watched rocky two I just found out Duran was in it.
To me, Roberto Duran is the greatest ⭐️🥊👍
Easily the best Latin boxer ever
He is the greatest lightweight in the history of boxing and one of the pound 4 pound great
@@Bankai_Musashi1 not just the best Latin one of the best. In the history of boxing.
Greatest ligbtweight of all time
4x division champion
Fighter of the decade 1970s
Undisputed world champion
Only boxer to win comeback of tbe year TWICE 1983-1989
If only Pryor didn't deny his offer he'd be one of the 5x Division Champs
Happy Father’s Day and cheers to all of the Dads! Enjoy the day and the fight🥳🍻
Happy fathers day and birthday to the great Roberto " El cholo" Duran. 🇵🇦
What a fight!!!
Wsshed up duran duran was a lightweight. Those fights were vicious
Moore seemed to throw a punch after hearing the bell in every round except the seventh when he was nearly out on his feet. The referee was in professional wrestling mode and warned him multiple times for hitting on the break and grabbing Duran by the back of the head and neck, but never took any points away.
The broadcasters were atrocious - like watching the bout sitting next to ones drunk middle-aged uncle and his wife.
On the positve side the tenacity of Duran even at that stage of his career was impressive, and a very young Michael Buffer sighting.
well to be fair duran did the grabs too, sneaky move but ig those grappling moves should've not really be illegal, adds more to the real time chess vibe of boxing
Prime Duran right here
not really,it's joever when the no mas fight happened, but i guess his prime didn't really matter much, just make him dedicated enough that's all.
@@TheNeorchI guess, in the Benetiz fight it's like Duran is fighting without any care of winning or he's not good in the head but in the Davey Moore & Pipino Cuevas fights it's like he prepared extremely well for the match. I think he had disciple issues & that stuff really messes with your career. Like Riddick Bowe, man was already good but he could've been one of the best heavyweights of his era if he took bigger fights & gave the gloves all he had
Duran prime was in the 70s
Bardzo mocny finisz w wykonaniu Durana :)
Ricordo questo match...🥊
Duran would rip these new Lightweights to shreds
Where's all the cheering noise coming from lol, the front row back about 10 feet all the way around, I see nobody whistling or cheering 🤣
Fight should have been stopped multiple times.. smh
Funny how dazn and top rank copy from ufc
Mf what? Top Rank was literally here 3 decades before UFC was 😂
@@Bankai_Musashi1 they didn’t start posting fights up until the ufc did, dazn also. Goofy looking mf, kind of sad how in thirty years another company has more business savvy but it’s whatever 🌈man
The real Mexican Monster
You mean Mexican American
@@charlesrazo7246 naa Mexican/Panamanian
@@xxQuimoxx-bn2lh his father was born in Arizona USA his name is Margarito Duran Sanchez. Look it up. Roberto is half American and half Panamanian.💯👍

@@charlesrazo7246 his father was Mexican and mother was Panamanian
Worst Refing I have seen. It should have been stopper 1--2 rounds before it was, champion or not. Davey Moore was never the same after that. RIP.
This fight ruined Moore.
Worst commentary I've ever heard
Especially from the female commentator.
