That was a wall hanging crappie. Awsome job letting it go back to make more big crappie. I'd at least hang a picture of it on the wall. Thanks for sharing. God bless you and yours
1:04 -- "MONSTER Crappie" fishing begins with a ferocious 10 incher being 'hoisted' into the boat as the co-conspirator / fishing buddy / narrator declares, "That's probably close to 14 inches long!" Then at 3:44, starting the measurement from above his buddy's thumb (vid showing tape starts about an inch'na quarter above the fish nose), with the business end showing about 13'na half inches at the tail tip, fisherman says, "That right there's over 14 in. long." :o)) Even using our Canadian math, that fish is still just a bit over 12 inches, maybe 32 mm. Couldn't resist it, guys! ;o)) Sometimes we fisherman DO tend to exaggerate just a bit, in the heat of the moment. Great fish, fishing and vid anyway. And you Tennessee USA boys STILL make the best sour mash whisky. George Dickel. Damn near good as fishin. Depending on the weather. Greetings from Sherbrooke, QC.
I’ve seen a 17 1/2 inch crappie once 6 years ago. Caught on a blue/white crappie thunder jig and a white jig head by roadrunner. Summertime marina fishing. Got that bite on one of those poles that anchor marina in place. What a day!
I’ve got different size nets that I use depending on the size of the bait and how deep. This video I was using a 7ft 3/8 mesh. Got it at Academy Hope you catch a bunch 🎣
That's a good Crappie. The biggest one I've ever I caught was 22 & 7/8", I caught 4 that were over 20", and several that were between 17" and 19" all in the same day. People don't believe you when you tell them you've caught fish that big, but catching is believing.
Love this guys videos I’m from California or 50 miles away from Anaheim stadium. I live in the high desert other than camping fishing and flying my pigeons and shooting my guns. I love to fish. Too bad in California you can’t use live bait to fish.
You can have fish mounted now without the actual fish (I’m sure y’all know that already ijs) and this video and measurement is all he’s need to get a mount of that crappie. It would be worth having a mount I believe. That’s not a car tag crappie, that’s a European car tag. Lol 😂
I know your enjoying yourselves and catching nice fish . Personally I don’t think it’s necessary to net those fish . I wouldn’t care if he came off . I used to lift ten and fifteen pound stripers in the boat, I didn’t care if they came off the hook or the hook pulled out .
not bragging or anything like that. where i live i dont keep anything less than 11inchs, normal size around my area along the Mississippi river is 13inchs. 14 and 16 is no surprise to me. 18inchs is when i start to turn my head like damn thats a slab. i live hr south of stl in missouri. lets here size of crappie in ur area?
Tom thanks for watching and I appreciate your comment 😀 You absolutely right,It’s not a true measurement. I need to get me a measuring board for sure 🎣🎣

About 20 years ago on Lake Jovita in St. Leo fl. A woman caught a 5 pound 9 ounce crappie on a cane pole.
Wow!

How you keep those shad alive?
That Extreme Bait Tank that I have does a great job keeping those shad lively.
Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment 🎣🎣
Slab is often overused...that, my friend, is a slab!
I agree
Thanks for watching 🎣
I have a hard time cathing bait that I can’t see / not at the top. I’ve got to invest in a live scope bc I’d rather fish with live bait than anything.
It’s really hard constantly to catch bait without a live scope. You will enjoy having one 🎣
At a starting price of $1000, they better be a good bait bucket.
Thanks for watching
I appreciate it 🎣

I just enjoy catching them 😀
If I’m gonna keep any to eat it’s the smaller ones.
