- In this fishing video I’m fishing for crappie to take home for dinner.Fishing Guntersville Lake a fisherman can catch dinner or have a boat lot fun just catching fish. Guntersville Lake is loaded with several different species of fish which includes largemouth bass,spotted bass, crappie,bluegill and catfish.

Rocky I grew up watching you I’m from Guntersville and you were my hero. Check out the dock around the yacht club docks. Minnows they’re some good already in there 5 feet.

Yep exactly, I had an older guy tell me to look at the bank coming down into to water and imagine that continuing down like that.. He said typically if the bank is steep down to the water it will be deep there and if the bank is real flat coming to the water it will generally be shallow… That’s not always the case but I’d say 9 times out of 10 it’s right on the money… Thanks for sharing that Rocky, little tips like that help people more than you’ll know sometimes… I can almost look at a lake now and see places I want to go fish immediately. Generally half the overall depth is a good starting point for crappie.

I meant to tell you also. That’s one of the best fish mounts I think I’ve ever seen. That’s a really excellent job !!!!! I think I’m going to get me one of those Bubba scales. Big investment but everyone that I’ve talked with that has one loves them !! Plus they cool looking.

Rocky you measure fish the way I do make them any length you want weather run us out of guntersville had to get back to take my grandson for youth Turkey hunt. I would have liked to see you.
