Love my Carel, Veja and Repetto. I am so happy with online shopping from France as my orders always arrive within 3-4 days - And I'm all the way in the east in Malaysia. Recently, Zara is stocking a similar but much cheaper pair like the Kina, but not as comfy. Keep up the good work as all your recommendations are all wonderful and suit me!

Great video on Parisian shoes. My great grandmother was from Paris and my mother is half Basque and half Parisian. So needless to say my drop of French blood loves Parisian design. Oh, I love all my Bensimon Elly tennis. I wear them almost all year long😅..from early spring to late late fall..to the horror of my husband.😊 But I love them so much...they are so light, so easy to wear and in such beautiful colours...I own at least 10 pairs. This is a very useful video, I never knew these French brands before and as I checked their sites after watching your video I see that most have very reasonable prices for high quality. I am wearing French brand shoes, already about 20 years as I got to find them in one of our stores in Lituanie MEPHISTO. As I have flat feet and with years feet deforms I am very aware of the arch of the shoe inside sole to support my feet. Mephisto is very good in terms of quality and arch support, but now I order them online so it is harder to adjust as some models of your usual size might need extra size up. Actually if you Invest in Mephisto you wear them a long time, my office shoes last alrady for 15 years and they look as well as they were juast out of the shop, I can't believe, but I must as it is reality :) These days mephisto usuaully are produced in China, but some are in Portugal. I do not know if they have factories in France, but probably there should be some.
How do you actually wear these in Paris though? Practically speaking what are shoes you can actually wear in Paris? Paris is a walking city right, I can’t imagine travelling to Paris and wearing shoes like these all day, my feet would cry. I’m going in a month and really looking for shoes that would actually be wearable

@@Aliceinparisofficial You are probably right. They are selling the prestige of the name, but, no one in Los Angeles is going to recognize that they are Diors, so I might as well get the Carels -- the Carels also have a more comfortable-looking heel. I simply love them!

I used to work in an office with a conservative dress code, so I have a lot of men's dress shoes for the rest of my life. Recently I have been into retro sneakers in neutral colors that go with almost everything. Especially New balance and saucony.
