I am an American living in the south of France and the types of shoes you mention are also the same that I wear here. I would add that here I have great espadrilles that are super comfy and dressy enough for the SOF anyway. Especially a pair I bought at Vivaia. Highly recommend.

I have a suggestion! Since you mentioned that you might want to purchase another pair of ballet flats, maybe you could go into the Repetto store and show us around while you try on their ballet flats, which I have heard are very comfortable - and very French.

I’m most comfortable in sneakers as I like to walk briskly. I have an extensive collection of Nike, Adidas, Hoka and Sézane sneakers. Then my loafers are my next most worn shoes followed by low pumps for work. As I have become older, comfort is key in my shoes with a definite touch of classic elegance. Sling backs and ballerinas in the Chanel style are perfect for a polished work look.

Mine did take a little bit of wearing in at the toe box but they're very comfortable now. What I do appreciate about the Chanel ballet flats is that they never gave me blisters! Very soft leather and seams, the quality is certainly there in my opinion.

I think in my shoe “collection” both my sketchers are most worn and also most useful comfortable for the streets. Variety of shoes with different occasions is good to spread out what the best wear fit and style depending on the occasion. I too need to repair my long boots, same heel has worn down, obviously the way we walk! Having watched your video, I now realise that I am only happy in my flat shoes or block heels. I am donating five pairs to the charity shop. Three pairs with wedge heels never worn, too high. Two pairs of stiletto's - again not worn, what was I thinking?! One of my most worn pair is patent leather and mule loafers- I feel like the trend is slowly turning from sneakers toward loafers and other leather shoes so maybe your loafers will do a comeback? I do not understand why designer houses are not adding rubber soles to shoes in the factory. It might be less luxurious but so impractical. I only buy shoes that have rubber soles now - which means more Geox and less Gucci…

Hi there, I would say they are very comfortable especially after wearing them the first summer. With long walks I think this depends on how many hours and if you're hiking, walking around as a tourist or going from your car to the shops or at home. Mine have softened up in terms of the leather upper over the years and I've worn them all day as a tourist but would probably recommend sneakers if you're doing a ton of walking. But in the height of summer, these are my go-to's over sneakers. Hope this helps
Those are barely comfortable and only for you tube videos. Big disappointment. Also, flats with color-block makes your feet look huge, not flattering, this is another misconception.
I own versions of all that you have except the stiletto scrappy sandals; I no longer need to wear such shoes. I am 73 and ballet flats have been a staple in my wardrobe for decades (I worked in high fashion and dress in a very classic style). I love metallic driving moccasins; they are so comfortable and go with everything. Thank you for sharing!

I love my Repettos! They are super comfortable but less structured than the Chanel ones.
Is there a particular style of Repetto flats you can recommend? I think this is the brand of ballet flats which Brigitte Bardot loved 😍

Chanel ballet flat are not so comfortable in my opinion, beautiful but not comfortable.

Couldn't agree with you more - I end up getting the rubber protective soles added to most of my footwear except sneakers and it does add additional costs - but it's very worth it as well to protect the footwear!
Loved this! I also notice your beautiful channel sling backs had a scuff mark on the heal… but I’m sure channel are able to fix that for you ❤
Hi Dawn, happy Monday to you! Yes I scuffed the slingbacks on the back of the heels 😢 I tend to do this on a lot of my heel shoes so need to be more careful.... I will try to see if I can get them repaired so they look as good as new ❤

Hi, do you find the oran sandals confortable? Many reviews say that they are not for long walks.. I would like to know your opinion. Thanks
Hi there, I would say they are very comfortable especially after wearing them the first summer. With long walks I think this depends on how many hours and if you're hiking, walking around as a tourist or going from your car to the shops or at home. Mine have softened up in terms of the leather upper over the years and I've worn them all day as a tourist but would probably recommend sneakers if you're doing a ton of walking. But in the height of summer, these are my go-to's over sneakers. Hope this helps
Those are barely comfortable and only for you tube videos. Big disappointment. Also, flats with color-block makes your feet look huge, not flattering, this is another misconception.

I own versions of all that you have except the stiletto scrappy sandals; I no longer need to wear such shoes. I am 73 and ballet flats have been a staple in my wardrobe for decades (I worked in high fashion and dress in a very classic style). I love metallic driving moccasins; they are so comfortable and go with everything. Thank you for sharing!
