I bought this last week mate , i thought coming from a 1080P upscale it looked fantastic , even the audio surpassed my expectations. Very happy to have this in my collection. Nice release, we got the gift to watch this week as well.
I never really get down hearted when it comes to 4k upscale transfers. A lot of them out there look better than native 4k. Hellfest and Fury Road come to mind. Great to hear that you picked it up yourself Ian. I was very surprised by how well it looked

I know of the movie but I never checked it out. As a matter of fact I actually think I Own It. It could be a 3D release that I have. I must look into it

Hey Keith, I saw this when it came out and I thought it was just OK. I was thinking about picking it up just recently, there was a 50% off arrow video sale here in the US I almost pulled the trigger. glad to hear that they did a wonderful job with the transfer. Also 95% of the time when I watch a movie that was just OK to me years ago I usually find I appreciate it much more than I did then which is half the fun of collecting. I did just pre-order from arrow the three big Clint Eastwood, Italian westerns looking forward to them for sure. Have a great one as always.👍
I am just like yourself John. When I first checked this movie out I felt somewhat underwhelmed by it but I still found enjoyment from it. But over the years I stuck with it and it slowly started to grow on me. Now I'm a big fan. Hopefully something similar will happen to yourself. As for the dollar trilogy yes I will definitely be picking them up. A bit of a gamble for me because I haven't seen them but I've been looking for an excuse. Hi Keith, another great review. I also really like Invasion. It's not so much a horror/sci fi flick. I would rather consider this a suspense thriller with sci fi undertones. I would have to agree with you about my favourite Body Snatcher film: hands down the Donald Sutherland film! I do hope that Arrow's deal with Warner also includes Abel Ferrara's Body Snatchers. It would just be great to have the complete Body Snatchers movies on 4K. Hardcore Ferrara fans didn't really like this film because it wasn't your..well, typical Ferrara film but I really enjoyed it. It had some decent effects and action set pieces.

It goes without saying Marty but it's probably the worst of all the body snatcher movies but having said that I still really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend looking into it.
Couldn't agree more Keith. This is a good solid release. Not in the same league as the Donald Sutherland version but it's clever enough to do it's own thing. It definitely goes more for the Sci Fi element rather then horror. Glad you mentioned Jeffrey Wright . Very talented solid actor who adds a lot to anything he appears in. I noticed one tiny bit of aliasing in the picture and it's at the end when Kidman is on the helicopter, it's a shot from outside looking in as the helicopter banks away, one of the panels aliases but it's very minor. The same thing happens on the Kino release of Below in one specific shot.
I never noticed that myself. Having said that I don't really go through these 4K releases with a fine comb. I mostly comment on what's very noticeable. I was very happy with this one

I do like this film Keith but as you said it doesn't come close to the 1978 version but what I did like in this version is they switched the sir names around in this one because in the original 1956 Dana Wynter played Becky Driscoll and Kevin McCarthy played Miles Bernell and I remember Kidmans name in this was Bernell and Craigs was Driscoll. Are they releasing Critter on 4K, Keith, I can't wait for that one, I love Critters.

Hey Keith man. Tbh with you I watched this when it came out & wasn't for me. I honestly thought the acting / everything about it was atrocious. I have the Kino Donald Sutherland which is my preferred version in the films history & love. So for me when I heard it was being released it was a huge pass. I do love Arrows artwork at the mo... The chronicles of Riddick is amazing as is Lifeforce , Narc , A simple plan but my favs of theres is Robin Hood Steelbook XL version & Crimson Peak. Both excellent 👏👏👏 My pre-order of The Last voyage of the Demeter arrived this morning.. so that's my movie tonight 🤞🤞🤞 Hope everything is ok Keith 👍👍👍

Yeah I just assumed everybody knew the Invasion was a remake of the Body Snatchers. Having said that when it originally came out I have to admit I didn't know that myself. You should check out Nicole Kidman at the start of this movie when she's wearing her pyjamas. It's ridiculous how much you can see because of the 4K transfer
Of all the Body Snatchers adaptations they could've rereleased after the 1974 film... They had to pick the awful 2007/8 version for no other reason than "MUH PANDEMIC".
