And when I do read the verses, new things come to mind, and with new things come a deeper appreciation of the word. I am so ashamed. Before I came to saving faith in Christ I was there in the crowd, scorning him and laughing at him. I didn't know that I was dead. Like completely dead. I've been saved for 6 years now. Still have a lot of sin to work on. Lot of prayer to do. Lot of repenting. But the joy in Christ. It's like nothing else this world has to offer. Jesus is just wonderful. I see him even more brightly in this quarantine now.

He was most definitely not a frail man! Even under the burden of the cross...remember he was a carpenter. Have you seen the strength in a carpenter who makes things with his hands? No powertools... picking up those heavy logs and planks. Then for three and a half years he walked criss cross over Israel and surroundings. I am sure He also sometimes rowed the boats..it was not His nature to just sit and be served, although He is worthy of it. A self-disciplined, humble, serving and loving Son of the living God. He was in a state of being inhumanly tortured when He carried that cross... but He was NEVER frail.
Yes you are correct but he had just been flogged, beaten and had not slept. He was certainly frail at least during these moments, going to the cross. Context is key. They said “frail and lonely” I am sure this was not always the case for both.

Should die for us? Was that a typo? He shouldn't do anything for us but He is rich in mercy love and grace and chose to die for us.
