My precious husband went to be with the Lord 2 weeks ago. I asked my granddaughter and husband to sing this song at the funeral. It was such a comfort to me. I know he is with the Lord!!

There is no hope in this life without Him!!! in this life without Him people have no hope---just look around--killings--sexuality problems--hatred and on and on!!! And when death comes---how terrible!! I am a RN and there is a difference when a Christian passes and when an unsaved person passes---you feel it in the room!!! Peace is absent in the room of the non-Christian.

Nothing comes apart from the command of the only King of heaven and earth. He holds our days in His blessed, strong, pierced hands. Body and souls, brothers and sisters, we belong to Him who redeemed us. May we have from Him the strength and courage to proclaim this to our families, friends, colleagues, while we cry with them for their (or our) mournings.
The answer to "what comes apart from His command" is "the love of Christ in which we stand" -- in other words, it is not based on our response to his commands - God gives us certain things only when we obey -but His love is not one of those things - He loves us independent of our response .

This song is so good. I sang this at church and have had it in my head since. This is so powerful, it reminds us that we aren't praising a dead saviour but a living one. God is good, he wants the best for us that is why he died to save us so we could have a personal relationship with us. God bless you all x

This is the truth we speak before the spread of the Coronavirus. Nothing comes apart from the command of the only King of heaven and earth. He holds our days in His blessed, strong, pierced hands.
Body and souls, brothers and sisters, we belong to Him who redeemed us. May we have from Him the strength and courage to proclaim this to our families, friends, colleagues, while we cry with them for their (or our) mournings.

The answer to "what comes apart from His command" is "the love of Christ in which we stand" -- in other words, it is not based on our response to his commands - God gives us certain things only when we obey -but His love is not one of those things - He loves us independent of our response .
@@jz551 I don't think that's the sense of the lyrics you quoted, otherwise "the love of Christ" should be the answer to "Who hold our days within his hand?". The sense is pretty obvious: who hold our days? Jesus. What comes apart? Nothing. What will keep us to the end? The love of Christ. :)
