I truly get what you mean; however, I also see how God uses the truly gifted in more than one field. Imagine telling that shepherd boy who could sing praises to the Lord so well, to not give up his job. And what if David had listened? David was a musician and singer so good, some of his songs have lasted 3000 years, and yet that was not the main way the Lord used him.
Might be the same with these musicians. One thing guaranteed though. The Lord will always put his children where they have to be at the right time. We don't really get it until later. BUT it always works out for God's glory and our good.
I'm hoping the Lord's plan is to keep them going as is. But I also know God's plan is to make them better and better until glorification. Not necessarily as musicians, (although still want that), but he will work it out even better than we can imagine.

There isn’t anything inherently wrong with belting, octave jumps, synthetic sounds, drum machines and such. But what is so helpful and important about work like this is that it is easily producible by your typical church music team without losing any musical dynamic energy, and more importantly, it is congregationally singable.
@@JefferyHunt of course there is nothing inherently wrong with it per se(David danced like a crazy person in.worship to God. LOL), but more often than not it's accompanied with a song that has little depth and that is not enfused with the word of God and that truly worships God.
I think the simplicity of this song is beautiful.

That's the EXACT REASON!.... you know, I was trying to find if they visit or tour and found that they had been to the States in sept 2022 in a some form of conference with the Getty's. So, I tried to find if there were any sort of clips posted. I couldn't find clips on youtube except some promotional material for what it was like. But in there, I saw a band that really struck me. Now, mind you, I couldn't recognize who this band was because they were SO unassuming. It was as if they were trying to draw every attention that could be bestowed on them away from themselves. T-shirt and jeans (NO IT WAS NOT torn jeans), I think no make up on the girls' faces, and I was wondering I don't think this is CityAlight. That's how different the band was. I had to rewatch the clip after I had already given up thinking Gettys didn't put them on. It was later when I found that they were in a special session with Piper that I went back and put 2 and 2 together to realize- yep that's CityAlight. Oh How I thanked my Father for them when I realized that. Because, it told me, beyond just the words and the intentional way they write their music, it was a confirmation to my heart that they also try(the KEY HERE IS TRY) to live it in the most sincere way to glorify God and veer away from the spotlight so that men and women would truly focus on our Lord Jesus Christ! I thank you O God Father that you are faithful to encourage us by giving us brothers and sisters that seemingly seem to come out of nowhere to serve your remnant. Bless them and may they again get closer to you. In Christ the Savior's name!
You're absolutely right and what you've said seems to remind me of the first few verses of 2 Timothy 3, where we're warned by the apostle Paul that one of the marks of men in the last days is that they will be self-centered.
Praise the Lord for you exceptional contributions to congregational singing. Written in a suitable key and not a gymnastic exercise in vocals, bringing worship back to the people. Well done! We use your music in our worship small group and it is fabulous. Very few UA-cam lyrics are done at the right timing (preceding vocals) in order to read & sing along with the band. Love the worship setting style which makes you feel like you are standing in front of the musicians and in the presence of the Lord. Keep up the good work everyone and be blessed for your excellent contributions to virtual worship experiences.

Our Heavenly father healed me through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I've had uterine bleeding for over 2 years and nobody seemed to know the cause. I was Baptised 2 months ago and I prayed. During my hospital appointment I prayed, God heard me and they found the cause and healed me there and then. I never bled again😢, Thank you Jesus! I will forever praise your name. The song was rendered in our church service today, DLBC, Gbagada, Lagos. I was moved to tears when I felt the awesomeness of GOD and especially the lines that read ' WHO ELSE COULD RESCUE ME FROM MY FAILING..... Love that they sing in keys that can be sung by a congregation and not just soloist (although our church bands can transpose to church-friendly keys - they just don’t know they should maybe).
Hi. I really like the songs by CityAlight, so Praise God and well done. I also like "Jesus, Strong and Kind / Jesus Loves Me" with the PSN Choir. I tried using it for a cell group meeting but noticed that the lyrics typically came in slower or later than the song, with made it difficult to keep up with the video when singing. Would be great if you could rework this. Much appreciated!

There is no need to sing about God's wrath. We are NOT appointed to it! It is enough that we sing about His Holiness for it is because He is Holy Holy Holy that His wrath exists for the unbelievers. Let us be holy for He is holy 😉
Again, you have misunderstood how God works! Songs are not produced because of someone's whims. Believe me, if it were so, there wouldn't be these many Christians who were thirsting after righteousness writing their appreciation. If God prompts them, they will. Just ask them to be faithful to what God tells them to do and also, pray for them.
