I have been sick lately and weak. I was very low in spirit today and couldn't shake it off. It felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders for the immense evil that has strangled and destroyed peoples lives and especially the innocent children who have had so much horrific evil done to them. I prayed, spent time in The Word, bound Satan, resisted him, and yet the low spirit persisted. There's going to be a great meeting in the heavens one day. But the first face any of us will want to behold is His. What a Savior! It won't be long now and the evil day will be done. Encouragement for us all. Maranatha! Come quickly.
As a woman who grew up without a loving Dad at home, but knew her Earthly Dad walked out before she was born; trusting in a God that the word relates to as a Father was hard to believe in let alone trust in. Praise the Lord that I understand and believe now! He has given me 2 loving Father in laws who have taken me into their family and their hearts, and told me on my wedding day that I was their daughter now! I have also been blessed with 3 loving men who consider me a daughter as well. I am so blessed, grateful and thankful for these men. Our own pastor at our church has told my husband that he thinks of me as a daughter. Years after he said that; I now feel that in my heart as well! Praise the Lord! Thank you Jesus! Father to the fatherless!
This song is so precious to me in November 2022. I can't fathom why God chose me, I don't deserve any of it. I can only thank Him over and over again. So Lord, thank you for saving me three years ago and making me, a wretch Your treasure!! I thank You and praise You!! Only You deserve all the praise Father and my Lord Jesus Christ!!
I thank him every day I have died more times then most in several lifetimes and he wakes me up everyday with a smile to be here and and around the people I love most in this world
How deep the Father’s love for us, How vast beyond all measure, That He should give His only Son To make a wretch His treasure. How great the pain of searing loss - The Father turns His face away, As wounds which mar the Chosen One Bring many sons to glory. Behold the man upon a cross, My sin upon His shoulders; Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice Call out among the scoffers. It was my sin that held Him there Until it was accomplished; His dying breath has brought me life - I know that it is finished. I will not boast in anything, No gifts, no power, no wisdom; But I will boast in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection. Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer; But this I know with all my heart - His wounds have paid my ransom.(2) How deep the Father’s love for us, How vast beyond all measure, That He should give His only Son To make a wretch His treasure.
No wonder I love to worship, it is in my blood through the Welsh, Scottish and N. Irish part of me! This is powerful. My dad would walk around our house belting out the great hymns like this. "Thank You, Jesus, You and You alone paid my ransom! I have gained life and life eternally from what You have done!"
This rekindles fond memories of my late father's hymns he sung in and around the house. Though we are South African "Afrikaners" stemming from the Boers from the Netherlands and Holland, we sang similar tunes in church and elsewhere! God bless you all for partaking!
I haven’t had time to fully research our line (McCrary), but I have always been drawn to violin and bagpipes in music. Not sure if we are Scotch or Irish in our line.
@@AmeliaEarhart53756Jesus sits on the throne, your life is hidden in Him on that throne. He is rock solid, faithful, in control. Fix your eyes upon Him and no other, not the world, the self or the devil. Christ is victorious is God.🙏
Going to have major heart surgery soon! No matter what happens, I know I will be in the hands of Jesus! This song touched me & gave me courage & strength!
HIS strength comes in so gentle and quiet but strong so we can move ahead in His Precious Name! I pray you are still praising His Holy Name as you recover. Remember His Word is life and health to our flesh! I speak grace grace grace to the mountains in your life in Jesus Name! Be at peace beloved.
This speaks to me: "I will not boast in anything. No gifts, no power, no wisdom. But I will boast in Jesus Christ His death and resurrection. Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer. But this I know with all my heart. His wounds have paid my ransom." I have played this video many times over the past few days, and these lines speak to me in a personal way. Soon after I gave my life to Christ as a teenager, I felt led into ministry. After college I went to seminary. My entire life was oriented around entering ministry. Then, it all fell apart. I never could find any work. Many people I knew in seminary would not help. I felt ignored and discarded. Instead of doing what I had long had a passion to do, I was forced to work jobs that treated me like a drone and made me miserable. I wondered what the point of it had been. I felt like I had wasted so many years of my life. I had been interested in theology and church history, but eventually I wanted nothing to do with them. I did not even want to look at my books (but strangely, I could not bring myself to get rid of them). I became so depressed that I considered leaving church completely (but by God's preserving grace I never did). I carried so much resentment toward many people for many years. Six years ago I was still stuck in a job that I hated, and which was destroying my body, and so I resigned and went back to school in a completely different field, while still struggling with resentment. I accumulated debt, which I am still paying off, but I finally have a good job. I have no complaints about the job. I am treated like a real person, and I make enough to live and steadily pay off my debt. I have made great strides in letting go the resentment. But over the past several months, I have come to feel that my passion is not in this new field. My interest in ministry, theology, and church history has returned. I have begun to wonder whether God had to send me through a deep desert to teach me more humility and to strip me of all expectations of how my life should turn out so that He could prepare me for whatever He has planned. I do not know what the next move will be, and so I am still in the same job, but this has been heavy in my prayers recently. Why am I writing all of this here? I felt like I needed to. It was therapeutic for me, and maybe it will help someone. When I was still in seminary, I learned through experience that some kinds of Christian growth come only through hardship. I am now learning that again. When we sing the lines quoted above, we abandon claim to any credit for ourselves regarding our salvation. I have also needed to abandon any manmade expectation of what my life in ministry should be and just humbly accept what God has planned.
I have also come to a stronger appreciation of what Christ did. I already genuinely trusted Him for salvation more than 30 years ago, but I now feel it on a deeper level. “Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer.” Absolutely. Why would God choose to save me? Why would He choose to use me? Certainly not because of any merit or special skill in me. It is only by His grace that I am redeemed. It is also by His grace alone that He would choose to use me, and so my only response can be to humbly put aside my expectations and pray, “Here I am. What do YOU want me to do? I am for You to use as You choose.” It has taken me many years to reach this point, but it is the only response I can give.
I'm from the generation that sang hymns in church. wonderful to hear these old hymns come back to life with true worship in spirit and truth. Need to hear and sing these hymns in church again. Thank you xxx

For those of us without exemplary earthly fathers, may the Holy Spirit go deep down inside of us to redeem us from insecurity and the spirit of torment...may God wrap us with his blanket of perfect love to cast away all fear and doubt till we can call him father in spirit and in truth
2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. Lamentations 3:22-23 The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 2 Timothy 2:11-13 The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us; if we are faithless, he remains faithful- for he cannot deny himself. Psalm 36:5 Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. James 4:11 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

As I was listening to this wonderful song I was also playing Scrabble, and the word I made was "ransoms"...coincidence? I think not. God's wonderful sense of humor and His power! This is a beautiful reminder of 1 Co. 6:20, "...you are not your own; you were bought at a price; therefore honor God with your body."
I first heard Steph tell his story of coming to Christ a year ago and I was moved to tears. I could relate as my path was similar. It’s amazing how you can draw a connection so strong from a stranger on the other side of the world. The Celtic Worship channel is one of my favorites and their music is played daily in my home or when I’m in the office. This hymn is one of my absolute favorites and Naomi’s voice is just amazing. Thanks for what all of you are doing. You probably don’t realize how powerful it is for so many around the world. Bless all of you from the US🇺🇸
I absolutely love this song! Please if you are reading this could you pray for me to be delivered from cigarettes, that my fiancé would give his heart completely over to Christ, and my daughter Tori would be delivered from the occult and the lgbtq lifestyle. Thank you God Bless! 🙏🙏🙏
Amen to that prayer below, I am so blessed to have Jesus, my Father and also the Holy Spirit a part of my life at the age of 88. I am still here in this world because He is not done with me. Hallelujah and Amen, Amen!1!
But this i know with all my heart! His wounds have paid my ransom! Hallelujah what a God we serve today. We dont serve a dead god or a god of stone or wood. But we serve The Living God! The one who gave his son for us! Little insignificant us. That he takes our fears our anxieties and makes them nothing. That the chains of sin fall at the mere mention of the name Jesus! If you havent given your life to him. You can anywhere not just in a church. And any time not just on sunday morning or evening. Today is the day of salvation. Put your trust in him and watch your life change!
We need prayer 🙏 we are staying in a area where there is so much of crime! This area has bars and loud music and evil activities going on. If there is anyone reading this we need the Lord to change this area in an area of prayer, worship and revival.
There is a great hunger across the land and around the globe for the Love, Mercy and Truth found only in the Word of God and this music simply and universally speaks to all hungry souls. What a gift to a broken world!
I listen to this song everyday on my way to work, I receive chills every time without fail. Praise the risen Christ, praise the Lord, he is so good to us.
These beautiful hymns remind me of my childhood years growing up in our community church. Thank you for bringing these hymns back. The words are timeless. Thank you for your love towards us Abba!!!
no matter what your skin is dark or yellow or white and you language either english or greece or hebrew or any other else, He speek with one same languange to us that we can feel, and that language is "Love" from the Almighty Creator
Yes, this hymn in particular captures the heart of the gospel message; that we have salvation through Christ because of what He accomplished on the cross.
Father, I pray that people that do not know you or people that have heard about you but still can't believe, feel you grace and your glory over their lives, and that they feel a inner peace and comfort that only you can give...that they feel your love. And all though this life will bring trials, tribulations, and sorrow that each storm we face is a blessing to bring us closer to you. And no matter what, it's not more than I can bare and by my Faith, I know you are leading and guiding me towards a reward at the end, to live and worship you forever. Amen😇 Bring Deliverance Lord!!! One of my favourite songs - and beautifully presented. I pray that so many more come to know and experience for life, the love of our wonderful Heavenly Father.
Love the theological truths of this song, making plans for it to be sung at my funeral...Having lost a son, I cannot imagine turning away from your only son and having him made the ransom for all mankind.

To make a wretch His treasure.
How great the pain of searing loss -
The Father turns His face away,
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory.
Behold the man upon a cross,
My sin upon His shoulders;
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers.
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished;
His dying breath has brought me life -
I know that it is finished.
I will not boast in anything,
No gifts, no power, no wisdom;
But I will boast in Jesus Christ,
His death and resurrection.
Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer;
But this I know with all my heart -
His wounds have paid my ransom.(2)
How deep the Father’s love for us,
How vast beyond all measure,
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure.
Thankyou
Thank you!
Thank you ❣️ Such powerful truthful lyrics!

God is real, Jesus is real, those who don't believe this are in for a BIG surprise!
Celtic worship this song is amazing when im angry, sad or stressed i listen to it so thank u for msking it 💗
No wonder I love to worship, it is in my blood through the Welsh, Scottish and N. Irish part of me! This is powerful. My dad would walk around our house belting out the great hymns like this. "Thank You, Jesus, You and You alone paid my ransom! I have gained life and life eternally from what You have done!"
You are truly doubly blessed to have a believing earthly father as well our Heavenly One - never take them for granted.
Worship is in your blood through the blood of Christ as well. You've got it from two directions!
yes, those bagpipes
This rekindles fond memories of my late father's hymns he sung in and around the house. Though we are South African "Afrikaners" stemming from the Boers from the Netherlands and Holland, we sang similar tunes in church and elsewhere! God bless you all for partaking!
I haven’t had time to fully research our line (McCrary), but I have always been drawn to violin and bagpipes in music. Not sure if we are Scotch or Irish in our line.
I identify with Meg. The Celtic heritage is precious, the music beautiful
Believers, don't give up! Jesus will be here soon! God is faithful!
Believed it so amen
But that just makes it scarier because things are going to get worse
Same place Karen , God Bless
Your love oh Lord reaches to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the skies. Psalm 36:5
Not many songs make me cry. This one does. What a beautiful rendition!
Thank you Father God in the name of Jesus Christ!
This speaks to me:
"I will not boast in anything.
No gifts, no power, no wisdom.
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection.
Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer.
But this I know with all my heart.
His wounds have paid my ransom."
I have played this video many times over the past few days, and these lines speak to me in a personal way.
Reformed churches never stopped singing them
Or writing them ... thought this was Stuart Townend c. mid 1990s, wouldn't have described it as an old hymn?
It’s not an old hymn. Kinda sounds like one I suppose. This is a lovely arrangement!
Yes Indeed ! I will never stop singing these old hymns. Praise to the Lord.
@@philwallis4050 pretty sure it's a very old melody recently discovered, that Townend wrote new lyrics to, they are so amazing and fit the tune so well
We sang this at my best friend's wedding today. I'll remember that for the rest of my days. I forgot how good a hymn this!
Our Father's love is the purest and truest. So grateful for You oh Lord. Thank You! 🎵🥰
Amen 🙏🙏
I needed to hear this song. I lost my granduncle last night and I can't stop thinking about him. He was 86 years old and he was a deacon for over 40 years and served in the U.S. military for over 30 years. May he rest in peace
Truly a man who stored for himself treasures in heaven, rather than on earth. May we all strive to be like him, myself especially
What a blessing to have known such a man! I'm glad this song is bring your comfort
@Richard as I read your comment I imagined your great uncle to be in heaven, singing along with the angels as they shower God in praise. The Bible says that the perfume of our praises rise to heaven with help from the angels. Sending Healing Blessings your way from South Eastern Australia, Dot (I know it can be hard on the anniversary of losing a loved one)
For those of us without exemplary earthly fathers, may the Holy Spirit go deep down inside of us to redeem us from insecurity and the spirit of torment...may God wrap us with his blanket of perfect love to cast away all fear and doubt till we can call him father in spirit and in truth
Lord I'm a very very sinner before you but today im seeking your forgiveness for the things I have done wrong please forgive me🙏
2 Thessalonians 3:3
But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.
Lamentations 3:22-23
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
2 Timothy 2:11-13
The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us; if we are faithless, he remains faithful- for he cannot deny himself.
Psalm 36:5
Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.
James 4:11
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
He is just and righteous and is able to forgive all your sins
Your music is bringing me such comfort right now. I have ovarian cancer and this is speaking to my heart. I am a believer and have been for many years - I know where I am going when i leave this earth. But I am so calmed by your music. Thank you

Thank you, Father, just Thank you! I love You so much, and I know that You love me so much more!
Hallelujah 🙏
That’s definitely a message
AWESOME! 😍🙆♀️
I love how God throws those little things in our daily lives and we know that it can't be anything else but God!!

Bless all of you from the US🇺🇸
We sang.this hymn at a wedding and it was a precious moment. Many tears in our eyes. Terrific sound from this group.
How great is the love of Christ ,he laid down his life for us ..
I absolutely love this song! Please if you are reading this could you pray for me to be delivered from cigarettes, that my fiancé would give his heart completely over to Christ, and my daughter Tori would be delivered from the occult and the lgbtq lifestyle. Thank you God Bless! 🙏🙏🙏
I pray all this for you and your family in Jesus’ name. 🙏🏻🙌🏻
Amen to that prayer below, I am so blessed to have Jesus, my Father and also the Holy Spirit a part of my life at the age of 88. I am still here in this world because He is not done with me. Hallelujah and Amen, Amen!1!
I'm a dual citizen USA/Ireland. Celtic worship music is so moving!
I needed this today.
"Made a wretch his treasure"
That's me. A wretch.
Thanks ya'll
Me also.

And me!
Love the bagpipes!!! GLORY to God 🙌🙏
We need prayer 🙏 we are staying in a area where there is so much of crime!
This area has bars and loud music and evil activities going on. If there is anyone reading this we need the Lord to change this area in an area of prayer, worship and revival.
👍🕊️🙏🏼I ask Father God to intervene in your life and situation and show His love and power because of Jesus. 🙏🏼
Good grief… who disliked this?? They need Yeshua! 😂😂😂 great start to my morning.❤️

I listen to this song everyday on my way to work, I receive chills every time without fail. Praise the risen Christ, praise the Lord, he is so good to us.
Yes and Amen! Glory and Praise! What a beautiful song!
The deep theological truths present in hymns are so beautiful. This was wonderful to hear thank you:))

Amen😇
Bring Deliverance Lord!!!

This song has always needed to be sung Celtic. Thank this tremendous group for breathing its spirit and portraying it so brilliantly. And thank Stuart Townend, who has the gift to compose music that sounds both fresh and as if it has been in existence forever. Perfectly timeless.

You gain from his reward because that’s his reward
Just wanted to hear this song again to remind me that I am loved.
What a joy to know that God loves us more than we can ever know, despite love we have lost here on earth. His love abounds!
By grace we R saved, not by works- with out the shedding of His blood, no forgiveness 🙏😇❤️cute
I’m just trying to hang on. Everything is overwhelming. I’m trying to find comfort in Gods songs. His love is more than anything I have. He can have all my hopes and dreams. I chose God of light and truth over the world. I just want Jesus. If you’ve read this choose Jesus over the World.
I pray that things are getting better for you
These hymn arrangements are so good. All the glory to God.
Thank you Jesus for Your loving sacrifice for our sins!
You all sang and played very well.
It is finished❤ I will not boast in anything except Jesus Christ!
He will bless you for your courage. Pray for your mom, and I will also.❤
Found you recently, inspiring someone who had lost inspiration. Keep pursuing your calling to inspire those you have not met.
This works because of Naomi's lead vocals. Don't discount her contributions to this. That voice is transcendent and powerful.
