Your narrative in story telling is amazing and your passion for running comes through in the video so much. I'll be looking to book my next race now, thanks for the inspiration.
Great job racing that course Billy, and Hilary! I live in SLO and raced just the Hazard loop portion, as a half, in early March '20, (2nd in my 50-something age group and 13th out of 85) literally 2 days before the entire country went on lock down. I think that was the last race that PT put on, until just this year? Those trails are beautiful, and gnarly! We love running out there, and have posted a few vids to the channel. Nice choice on the Naked Running Band! We love them too. So nice not to have a pack moving around and throwing that twist into hips and knees. Good to see you back racing. Sorry to hear about the meniscus tear. All too common. There are some things you may want to try vs. surgery.
« Ouate de phoque » ! Love it! That sweater has to be from Quebec Canada! Love your videos as always. Keep on running. Keep on moving forward. Take care of that knee.
Valencia peak is one of my favorite hikes near SLO. Every time I hike up there I enjoy the run down, and let loose even if I'm finishing off 10K rather than 50k!
GORGEOUS!!! So nice to see you out there again Billy, BRAVO!! Yes I find running is like other addictions... the more you do, the more you wanna do!! 🏃♀🏃♀
Hey brother, I recently Started doing my hike/running again at the reservations near me,it's been almost a year since I stopped, and there's Nothing like it in the world,I've been doing it for most of my life &I'm 46 now,it's a connection you have to experience, you can't just explain it to people,I love it&I know how you feel,Keep it up:)
I live in the area which made this so much fun to watch as you explore my backyard. I was there that day to run the HM (Loop 2) and had a blast. Glad you enjoyed our beautiful coast Billy
You are one of the Most inspiring and motivating UA-camrs out there. Thanks for the work you put into your videos, it is always an absolute pleasure to watch them. I wish you all the best for your next runs. Greetings from Germany
Amazing to see you back running! Can’t wait to get my first run back this summer! Thanks for showing the side of running most, the realism of doing something for the love of it and spending it with people you love! Amazing video! This makes my heart happy!
Congratulations on the return! I used to live on the central coast and my first ever trail race was a 25k in 2018 at Montana de Oro. Nice to see that area get some love!
Thank you, Billy, for sharing your first race back after three years. Great to see you on the trails killing it as usual and enjoying the beauty of the journey. Congrats to you and all the runners!
Montana D'Oro is a happy place indeed 💙💙 and thank you for your peaceful and inspiring videos they helped lift my spirits as I battled cancer this past year! (Also having been born and raised in Alaska I especially enjoyed watching your Crow Pass Crossing video) 🐻
Love the trails in Montana Del Oro. Used to camp and mountain bike there 25+ years ago. In my family, that campground is known as the site of the Great Raccoon Invasion.
Great to see you out there again. Love the cinematic quality of your videos and genuinely appreciate your perspective. My new running shoes are coming tomorrow and this is just the inspiration I needed.
Love it! "it's time to race again." I haven't been in an ultra since 2019 as well. Hopefully will get back soon. I fell into a trap of thinking I was in it for the reasons as well. However, my mantra has been don't be better than I am. I'm in ultras primarily for myself and that is ok! Keep sharing your videos. We all want to watch :)
Great work Billy! Having torn my medial meniscus twice and lateral once it’s something you can come back from. Just need the right rehab and prehab moving forward. Good luck dude!
Oh my gosh I never knew there was a race there - I absolutely have to do it soon. Montana de Oro is one of my favorite places to run - I found it one day close to 20 years ago on a business trip out to California when I had to drive to LA from San Francisco, just beautiful - I have been back on only one other occasion and even created an iFit run for the Bluff trail. Would love to run there again!
I spent a lot of 2020 UK lockdown binge watching Billy Yang videos. It’s great to see you back out running and enjoying life.
yeah Billy and Hillary! So inspriational. Looked like a beautiful run, and well executed. Hope to see you both at Lake Sonoma, or somewhere else soon.
Yes! Excited to show her Healdsburg!
She's a keeper Billy
I'm a lucky guy :)
"I think I have enough water. I forgot to fill that up." == me, stressing on your behalf. Congrats and welcome back!!
Your narrative in story telling is amazing and your passion for running comes through in the video so much. I'll be looking to book my next race now, thanks for the inspiration.
"Real satisfaction comes in the doing!" That is absolutely spot on!!!
Great job Billy! Congratulations on the return.
Thanks brother - excited to be back 🙏🏼
Any race with a landmark called something like "Hazard" Peak has got to be a great event. Great story as always. Awesome to see you back racing
This was my first Ultra many years ago. Words can't describe how beautiful Montana de Oro is, but luckily Billy Yang can.

Los Osos is my favorite place on earth. Having those trails in your backyard is a piece of paradise on this planet. Great job and thanks for sharing.

Good for you, Billy. So glad you and your group had a great race. Thanks for sharing the experience with the rest of us, and Welcome Back!

Congrats, great effort, agree 100% on meditation and ultra being so much more than a foot race.
