when do they choreograph this? its so amazing i was just wondering if the girls who are more showcased than others are the winners or not (or they may be showcasing all the girls and guys equally, im not really sure)

China, Japan, Brazil, England, USA, Australia, Germany etc. That is why there are no westerners dancing in this piece. YAGP is the Olympics of the ballet world. The soloists, or groups have to pre qualify in their own country in order to come and participate in the finals which are held in New York City once a year. Judges also come from around the world. An amazing event.

i'm sorry... but im from california and guess who's team got into the finals... us.. stop assuming.. its rude especially when a "westerner" breaks your word and does the grand defile.. "no westerners" you should say "why you cannot see MANY westerners", and i know PLENTY of people who get into the finals every year they just don't want to do the Grand Defile.
