If you buy it as an investment...don't. Unless you think waiting 10 years to earn a couple of hundred dollars is a good deal. Dont forget to account for inflation...and the space it takes to keep it mint. My advise...buy it because you're a collector or buy it because you love it and want to play with it. As an investment it scks.
Then try selling it 20 yrs later when the paint job has chipped away or rubbed off to reveal the true color of the plastic molding of the shell. I’m not going to lie, I’m now a proud owner of 2 used SpongeBob SquarePants GBA SP’s. Yea the plastic shell is painted yellow. And yea the areas where a rugrat’s hands touched the most, reveals the true color of the plastic shell molding. It’s white. I have a new cobalt blue with the true color of the plastic molding being dark blue.At least with this, it will be close enough to match the paint. Kingdom hearts silver will turn gray.
I think you're right, it does kind of depend a bit on how much the next switch is backwards compatible but pretty clear these will eventually go to $400
To me yes if your in just to buy a Nintendo switch lite either get it now if you like how it looks or buy a used or even new regular one but in the long run this lite will just be more for collectors and yes for collectors get one now cause they will go up for collectors or anyone in 3 to 5 years
Zelda DS Lite and Switch OLED are down in price, especially used. I also got the black and gold 25th anniversary for $150 with a charger/game included for less than what nintendo charged. Some of this stuff is cib you can get for a decent price. I would never buy from a scalper like you probably because you guys don't care as much about the customer as much as these retro stores do. Hopefully, you don't overprice the stuff you resell.
Honestly I kind of like that metallic gray Dialga & Palkia edition from a couple years ago and I don’t even play Pokemon like that. It just looks nice.
I don’t think the Switch Lite will carry value like the Shield 2ds. I haven’t seen a product like that shield 2dsXL (cool and unique factor) since the Pokemon N64.
I didn't even need this, I already have a Nintendo OLED and a gray Pokémon SL but still got the Hyrule Edition SL anyways.......... Also got the new Zelda game.
I had my new switch lite acnh i dont need another lite cause im preparing for the last hype train of switch oleds yeah now i had a tv but i cant dock my lite so i still be needing the oled not my sisters
Any and all Zelda edition handhelds look great but NOTE the plastic is clearly painted. If you decide to use it, don’t. Most areas where palm and fingers come in contact with will begin to fade in time. Nintendo needs to consider making these molds that actual color and not paint over a different color molding just to make it the color they want only to find out later, it fades off and the true color of the plastic molding is revealed.
Buying a video console (or any other electronic device) as an investment is stupid. I bought it because it looks cute and I like to play on the smaller Switch Lite, and my old one has seen much use, so I‘ll need a replacement anyways. To make a profit I invested in the stock market. I‘ve made about 35% profits with Nintendo shares so far and I get a nice dividend every year. And there is another issue with this kind of device: the internal battery will die if not used and recharged, so in a couple of years it will just become a disfunctional paperweight.
@nyancorp investing in video games is NOT stupid. Investing in video games BEFORE maximizing your retirement accounts or throwing loads into index funds and mutual funds IS STUPID. These are alternative investments and are fun and can do well. I'm a finance guy myself and obviously have been maxing out my retirement for many years now. But you CAN DO WELL in these alternative asset classes if you know what you're doing.
i agree it isnt a great investment. its only an investment if you are full time scalper and you disposed it right away. i want to keep my v2 switch and oled for 1 decade ill just have the battery replaced its going to be cheap.
You can likely open it, play it, save the packaging, and still have it be valuable. I have a few virtual boys and they are probably worth $500 each now. Bought them for $30.
@@YugiohTubeit is a market that is impacted no different than stock markets. Nintendo has been restocking and producing more special edition switches than past consoles. This system is still available and it was available for pre-order for a while compared to past systems. They want to sell an additional 13.5 million units so of course they are going to make more.
@@YugiohTube Makes sense I suppose. The pokemon switch lite was only like $160 used at my local retro shop. The price might have gone down a little bit on some of them.
It seems you don't understand the term "investment" these consoles will absolutely go up in price once new hardware comes and nostalgia kicks in. You may have some mystical retro shop local to you that is selling all these rare items at a deal at the moment, but it won't remain that way and it certainly is not that way on sites like Ebay/Amazon and the like which is where the majority of consumers are doing their shopping.

How much value does the Switch have left if Switch 2 has backward compatibility. Like Ds vs 3ds.
Nintendo is trying to sell as many switch consoles as possible to beat ps2 and take over the all time nr 1 sold console .
