Omgoodness! I totally had that same experience! I went as the Tooth Fairy and even had my grandmother sew the dress for it- the night of Halloween- out came the turtleneck... the only one I had- a dark purple... and then leggings, socks, and tennis shoes. No one knew what I was trying to be!
I ended up going home 😂
I found Friday Patterns from Andrea Mowry's newsletter. I bought the Ilford jacket straightaway. I love the simple designs and am looking forward to buying more patterns. Please keep up with the tutorials. I'm 50 and have been "sewing" for years, but not many garments. The tutorials for the Ilford were a big help. Thanks!
