I have the 2.0T Quattro as well and i have to say the awd and turbo combo theres times where i hit the gas and i feel the car just pull so smooth almost like a tesla taking off from the line. For only being an A3 it sure is adequate
I have a 2015 saloon - the 1.4 TFSI 150bhp. Not massive amounts of power but nippy enough to catch up to cars quickly. It's a lovely little engine and economical to run yet fun to drive, like a baby-brother of a sports car. Admittedly It has half of the power an s3 has but with a stage 2 remap on the 1.4 you could close that gap to about 220hp (I'm not sure the potential for the 2.0 Quattro in terms of remap but I can imagine it'd boost it up a lot closer to the 300 mark and maybe even easily surpass it given the s3's are 2.0L anyway, right?). My car is blacked out which is the opposite to yours so I find your car to be really refreshing to look at and you've done an excellent job with it. I love the A3 line; especially the saloons for aesthetics but also driving practicality.
That’s cool! I have enjoyed driving it. I love the simplicity of the interior too. It has aged very well. Audi does a fantastic job with interior design. I’m at 90k miles now and have just started to have issues with the fuel pump and charcoal canister. It has been very reliable other than that. :)
@@DekiaryCarterTorally agree about the interior too. Feels like it was made for you, right? I’m at 82k so I’m right behind you; charcoal is an easy fix isn’t it? And what issues with the fuel pump? You had them diagnosed yet?
I'm actually thinking to by it, and I find your video. It's helps a lot! Thanks And I have a question. What things u don't like about this car ( thinking about from the factory )
It’s a really great car for the price but it depends on your situation. If you have more than two people in the car etc.. it’s a good two person car but too small for a family. It can definitely use an upgraded exhaust system for better noise. That can easily be fixed though. I can recommend the car easily. Just try to get a lower mileage car that has been well maintained. Avoid the front wheel drive 1.8 models. The 2.0 with Quattro are more reliable. The 2017 premium plus A3 is probably the best year for some of the newer tech like the Audi virtual cockpit and Apple CarPlay. Otherwise, the 2016 is good. Make sure you get one has that had the recall for the passenger seat airbag taken care of.
Do u think this would be a great first car I am planning to get a used one after Highschool I saw a 2015 Audi A3 premium plus for 15k and only 55k miles on it, it had a good service record surprisingly and 1 owner
I wouldn’t personally recommend someone’s first car out of high school to be a German car because of the higher maintenance costs compared to something like a Honda or Toyota. It’s a great though.
@cabbagememes2852 yeah, try to get something very affordable with low maintenance costs so you can save the money for something special down the road. You typically pay $200+ per hour for maintenance labor alone on a German car. Try to get something you can buy cash and keep for a few years. Save and invest early and you’ll be much happier by the time you’re in your late 20’s.
@@DekiaryCarter I might just stick with my dads 2019 crv he’s passing it down to me after I finish highschool and down the road after I get my dream job definitely getting something like a Audi RS7 to treat myself with

Nice! It’s a fun and comfortable daily. Get the lowest mileage you can. Once you’re closer to 90k miles or so, more parts need to get replaced. It’s German so keep the $$$ in mind
@@DekiaryCarter thank you I’m looking at one with 60k miles on it it looks to have been very well taken care of oil changes every 5k miles on it and tires so far that’s it
@damianpasour nice! Try to get the best deal on it. They depreciate very quickly. I’d recommend joining the 8V Audi A3 Facebook groups so you can know what common issues they have. Most of them are fuel pump related, water pump / thermostat etc
Am thinking of buying one buy a 35 tfsi. How’s the maintenance on a used Audi because the reviews you get online about used Audis are sometimes so bad and giving me cold feet
It’s a little tricky. You will probably need some sort of pry tool. Be careful not to break it because those little screws aren’t that strong of a plastic.
Hi Dekiary , I’m new to your channel, I love the content, I have a Audi A3 in white like yours, I would be interested to know where you bought the rear spoiler, ( which store ) I will certainly be catching up on your episodes!

Yo! No spacers and it’s on stock suspension. The ride quality went down by maybe 15% but it’s only noticeable over bumps/ other than that it’s really good.
@@DekiaryCarter Those are 19s? I have an a3 FWD on stock suspension and wondering if I should get 18s and some lowering springs, or just get 19s. Do you have any issues with rubbing on the fender or anything like that?
I’m on a stock suspension and have zero issues with rub. There is still a 1-1/4 inch gas so it’s not too low. These are 35 series tires. If you went 40 series there would be less gap. Ride quality went down by 15% probably but grip and road feel went up by a good 40% compared to the daily driver wheels.
Hello. I have exactly the same car but in black. I imported the car from USA to Poland. In Europe we don't have this engine. I have see you have the same issue like, the rear trunk light is not aligned with the rear light. Did you fix this or there is no way to fix it. Thanks and thats a nice ride :)
Thanks for watching! It’s a fun little car. The only reason my trunk light is not 100% aligned is because we got in a really bad accident last summer. :/ it took it like a champ! It’s a super safe car considering the size
