Not sure if it'll work on that specific vehicle I'm sure you can search it online. Short answer yes, It technically does void the warranty. Hey there unfortunately I believe it’s because your vehicle is newer and the manufacturer (OBDeleven) might not have all the features up and running for that yet. I’d maybe reach out to customer service and see if they can help you! That’s my educated guess on why there’s not as many features yet! Thanks for watching and best of luck!
9:26 - It doesnt. I was having some fun in a snowy mountain (private road for anyone wondering) with mine turned off and once the car noticed i was about to spin the car 180 degrees, it turned all electronics on again and corrected itself. Are the rear brakes on the Rs3 like that too? How do you disconnect the parking brake without the obd? Even if the parking brake isn’t engaged, it will still break the piston? What if the reservoir is opened?
Yes the rear brakes on the rs3 are the same. Unfortunately there is no way to replace the rear brakes without a scan tool or Obd11. Even though the parking brake is disengaged, the piston is still pushed out due to the lower pad. So I’d you try to manually push the piston back in like on older cars or cars without the electric e brake you will destroy the parking brake motor and need a new caliper. Now if you really don’t want to buy a scan tool or Obd11 you can remove the parking brake motor and manually turn it with the torx socket but that’s risky.
Unfortunately the software is generic so it’ll show some stuff that’s not a Available for your car within reason. Yeah you can clear codes with this device but unless the problem is fixed the code will continue to come back. But usually that code has something to do with the ECM so I’d definitely start diagnosis that and seeing what’s wrong before clearing it
It can be done on most Audis and vw cars I just listed these because they’re the most common and have the most features. Some of the other cars might not have the same or all the features like these ones do
on my 2010 a4.I have a parking break malfunction light and airbag passenger on ,I’ve been trying everything to clear them out and i can’t.do you think i clear these codes with this device?
If the device won’t clear it their not fixed. You need to fix the issues before you can clear it since their “active” codes. So to answer your question this device won’t clear it until the issues are fixed!
It is OBD2 - the two is written using Roman Numerals. The "eleven" mistake comes from people misreading two capital "I"s as the number eleven - 11. But I is not 1 !! So when written down it appears as OBDII - meaning OBD2 and not OBD11 - two number "1"s are not shown on the device or in the literature. There have NOT been ten previous versions of OBD - like OBD3 OBD7 etc.
Yikes you’re no educated in this at all. Obd2 is the standard for cars above 1996 and obd1 is prior. This here for this video is an aftermarket piece of equipment that hooks up to your obd2 port and Indeed is pronounced OBD11 “eleven” it’s a way to connect to the car via obd2 and alter coding. Here’s even the website of the product lol…. obdeleven.com
@Ratchet Wrenches ha ha! Don't apologize. Us GLIs live in the shadows of our hatchback brothers. It kind of feeds into the allure of being a sleeper. To the untrained eye, you think we're just another Jetta until you watch it perform. Now, if only VW would make a sedan version of the Golf R. Lol
Eeeeh so between this being a subscription service, credit system, being (imo) not properly disclosed as a paid advertisement and the functions offered here, I kinda feel like this is just like any other OBD2-dongle-thingy with a fancy name out there and not really worth it. Theres simple standalone scanners that do almost anything you need for the same price, and if you want a proper tool with advanced features for VAG then invest in VCDS. I dont know without looking at it, but I have a feeling this is just a company selling macros for a system that is already available to people without the monatization schemes. Im sorry but this just seems shady to me.

Obdeleven version 1...white and black...only works on andriod...V2 the all black with led light connects to both andriod and ios
Yeah when we made this video the V2 wasn’t released yet
Is this strictly for Audi A3/ s3/ rs3 or all of Audis?
It can be done on most Audis and vw cars I just listed these because they’re the most common and have the most features. Some of the other cars might not have the same or all the features like these ones do
All VW
VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Lamborghini and Bently and in newer devices i think some limited platforms of BMWs also can be diagnosed and coded.
on my 2010 a4.I have a parking break malfunction light and airbag passenger on ,I’ve been trying everything to clear them out and i can’t.do you think i clear these codes with this device?
@@RatchetWrenches YIKES!!!!
I stand corrected!!!
Apologies - and lol
Where did you get the grille?
It’s in the description of the install video here. ua-cam.com/video/RcRGjr6914A/v-deo.html
works for a4???
The Obd11 will work yes, might not be the exact same features as you saw here but it’ll have plenty of options
Will i get a code if i have unitronic stage 1+ ecu tune?
No you shouldn’t, you’ll get one when you put a downpipe on but the tune will hide the code
Not illegal in Oregon. The dealerships charge a premium to add that stupid blinking 3rd brake light to a car.
Of course the dealerships would do that
Soundaktor is a speaker itself
and you can unplug it in 5 minutes
@@HarryTwatter easier using OBDeleven
Last I looked Obdeleven isnt avail for RS3 8v?
I'm not sure off the top of my head you'd have to check on their website
Watching a movie while driving?!?? Of course it’s worth it!!! 🤣
Hahahaha I like your style 😂
lmfao my slow ass just learned today that was a "C" 😂 i always pretended it was a coin of some sort ahha
Hahahaha 😂
Carista is a better choice. Annual fee of $49, no credit use for every change.
Good to know thanks. I'm sure everyone has their personal preference
Hell yeah🔥🔥🔥
Appreciate the support! 🙏
Basically if you want to upgrade it’ll be like $20 for every 100 credits
Guess its an easy press button activation app, I like VCDS better
VCDS is alot better yes but for the general public Obd11 is more user friendly
Can I unlock the adblue count down so it’ll start with this
Not sure but I wouldn’t be surprised if you can
Is this something that is detectable by dealer - IE void warranty ?
Shouldn’t void the warranty no
I guess this OBD device doesn’t work for A6
Yeah like stated in the title those are the vehicles it works for
What ever i try on my Rs3 is NOT SUPPORTED,even up/down windows😡
What! That’s so disappointing
I love how the GLI wasn't included in the title. I feel like I'm in a secret car club. Lol
Hahah I’m sorry but yeah this would work for the GLI as well 🤣
@Ratchet Wrenches ha ha! Don't apologize. Us GLIs live in the shadows of our hatchback brothers. It kind of feeds into the allure of being a sleeper. To the untrained eye, you think we're just another Jetta until you watch it perform. Now, if only VW would make a sedan version of the Golf R. Lol
@@nkha23 that is very true! And that would be so sick to have an r version GLI. The definition of a sleeper for sure
Another proud GLI owner here. Definitely feels good to be in the club, working on joining a similar secret club and getting a '21 RS3
@ziceman46 I would love an RS3, but wallet says, "Sit your a$$ down." Lol
Why would you get this when there is VCDS…
The average consumer doesn’t know how to operate VCDS. This is more user friendly to the general public..
As I understand, 10 credits = @$2.00. Don't sweat the cost.
Keep open your hood when you're working with obd11
Not necessary
@@RatchetWrenches for me was necessary
@@alexandro6126 odd
Turn off that car door warning! It's the worst haha
Yeah I probably should haha
Eeeeh so between this being a subscription service, credit system, being (imo) not properly disclosed as a paid advertisement and the functions offered here, I kinda feel like this is just like any other OBD2-dongle-thingy with a fancy name out there and not really worth it. Theres simple standalone scanners that do almost anything you need for the same price, and if you want a proper tool with advanced features for VAG then invest in VCDS. I dont know without looking at it, but I have a feeling this is just a company selling macros for a system that is already available to people without the monatization schemes.
Im sorry but this just seems shady to me.
