Yeah, rib injuries suck! about 2 years ago I had a mountain biking accident when I hit a jump at some good speed and my bars clipped a tree and i flew basically like 10-12 feet landed flat out on my left side, bike slammed on top of me (i was riding in clipped pedals. Knocked the wind out of me for a good couple minutes. stupidly continued on for about another 8 mile ride with my friends dad. but it hurt for a couple days then kinda went away, then an ENTIRE MONTH LATER, middle of the night i couldn't breathe, spent 8 hours in the ER on new years eve got scanned and found out I cracked 6 ribs on my left side. worst pain ive ever felt...really should get checked out again. 🤣 i still feel it here and there now that i picked up skateboarding again with the quick turning and twisting when falling. lol

Does that cause chest tightness as well ?
Rib-head misalignment can cause a feeling of chest tightness but gets noticeably worse with respiration and movement. There are other causes though of chest tightness such as certain heart conditions that should not be neglected and professional medical help is warranted to rule in or out the cause.

These words would have saved my back had I heard these in my late teens and in my 20s. If more doctors would just explain that leaning back is stretching the disk and bending forward is pressing on them, at least in my experience it would save many people lots of pain,
