      it would go like this no matter what or when he decided to enter into the draft because of who his dad is. At least now, his dad still is the biggest name in the game and he can be with his dad for the 2-3 yrs of criticism he will receive. Then once his dad retires, we will know what he is by then and he can stay on a roster, if hes good, or he can bow out of the NBA

      ​@MacDre-ez2oc yep. Because everyone knows all elite players come from pick 55. So many teams have no idea if they will ever even get use out of their 55th overall pick. Many players at that point are stashed away elsewhere and we almost never get to see them play. If he got picked first round, I get it. But, the pool of players that emerge from that portion of the draft as stars is not large. And if the team feels more comfortable with a player they know vs. one they don't, it is really not a big deal. I get that you are saying but this happens all the time and getting ruffled over someone risking the 6th to last pick on the son of the best player of all time, worth the risk.

      no one wants to get drafted in the late 2nd round -- going undraftet is technically better, since the contracts are non-guaranteed and being undrafted allows negotiation with every team -- hence why late 2nd round players (i.e. austin reaves who declined to be drafted at #41) often prefer to be undrafted.

      Yes you can. LeBron has seen a ton of players in his time in the league. He sees bronny every day. If LeBron didn't think bronny was at least good enough to be a rotation guy he wouldn't have showed his ass like this.
      In ordder for someone to put their name out there for you, you have to show that person why its worth their reputation in the short and possibly the long-term to do that for you. Doesn't matter if its your parents a manager, teacher etc...In a way you have to show what's in it for them besides your gratitude.

The question is if you could help your child get their foot in the door of their dream job would you? I’m sure everyone & their parents want to make it on their own merit, when it comes down to being in your chosen field I’m sure most would like to be given a chance even if it’s purely off of a recommendation.

    Bucks signed originally Thanasis to help keep Giannis, he was an award-winning standout playing professionally in Greece, and was drafted by the Knicks a year after Giannis, before he was remotely a star player. Let’s just be clear, Thanasis would not still be on the Bucks or in the league if his brother had not taken off, which is still nepotism. There are many guys like that in the league, but his size is definitely an issue.

    There should be a 5 year ban from playing in the league if you tell certain teams “if you draft me I’ll go to another league” to force a certain team to only be able to draft you like this.     I mean I'm no fan or anything of Bronny James or LeBron James but why is Bronny getting eviscerated? Shouldn't LeBron James his father be getting eviscerated for this because EVERYBODY knows exactly why they drafted his son because LeBron told them too..

    The Celtics should have drafted him at 54 just to spite the Lakers, but then, the Celtics are happy for the LA to get ratings, and Boston to get rings. Best franchise vs. joke franchise.
