What transmission did you use? What motor mounts did you use? My v6 just threw a rod bearing smh and I have 3 5.3 engines that I can put in it but there's no videos explaining how/what's needed.
Use camaro ss mounts for the engine, you'll need an oil pan for an ss also, basically all accessories the ss engine uses bolts on ls engines to make it work, I went with a built 4l80e trans, you'll need to make some mods to fit tranny but it's not bad to do, also had to have custom drive shaft made
Did you need any special mounts or did it fit right in place, im about to put the 5th gen 6.2 L ss engine and manual tranny into my automatic 3.6 v6 5th gen body, any suggestions on the whole thing ??
@@thebeast-zf6jb no you don't have to swap the cross member, just need to run the right oil pan on the engine And transmission from v6 will not bolt up, I went with 4l80e trans
@@thebeast-zf6jb I'm using holley terminator x max for my setup, it's abit easier to to it this way then trying to get factory wiring and ecm to all communicate, programming etc. That's why I went holley plus I'm in the middle of adding turbos now
I didn't change rear axle, v6 cars that came with manual transmissions have same rear end as the ss camaro if it had the auto transmission then it has the weak rear end
im not using a new ECU, the v6 ECU is still in place just removed all wires for the V6 engine, keeping it connected so BCM and everything communicates and all my functions with the car still operate, i bought full holley terminator system to control engine/trans
@@tommybrown7499 ok, so... I de-pinned the factory v6 ecm, just kept the bare minimum wires for a few sensors for stock gauges to work, and keeping the v6 ecm the canbus system still communicates with bcm and you keep your radio functions windows etc.. I have since went for holley system that controls transmission and engine management, and I have holley pro dash, so I eliminated having to use factory wiring
Hey thanks for sharing the video and your knowledge,
I’m doing the same I have full V8 donor car . Can I just swap everything?
If you have a whole donor car you're laughing, start swapping lol
@@paskracing77 alright thanks bro 😅👍🏽

I just bought whatever parts I needed for an ss, everything bolts in to the v6 body
I'll be making an update video shortly
Buen dia amigo, ya terminaste es swap? no tienes mas videos, saludos desde leon gto mex.
i will have an update video soon
About to do the same! if you’ve dropped the engine in, did the stock truck intake fit under the hood?
Engine is in the car now, truck intake will not fit
I'm going with the low profile holley sniper intake

dose all your electrical work like dash and radio ?
yes factory radio works all windows etc.. gauges i wanted working i had wired up, now im running holley dash so dont have factory dash
part 2 video is now up, just a short clip
All depends what all your doing or doing a stock swap or going for more
Was it hard to find a v8 engine and did it cost alot
Did you finish the car and is it still running?
Car is almost complete, waiting on backordered parts to arrive
What did you change the rear axle to?
I didn't change rear axle, v6 cars that came with manual transmissions have same rear end as the ss camaro if it had the auto transmission then it has the weak rear end
Is it a hard swap? Or not that bad?
Not hard if you have mechanical experience

Did you use tge v6 transmission
No, v6 tranny is different
So what did you do about wiring
@@tommybrown7499 what part of wiring did you want to know about and I can let you know
Guess all it so i can make sure my inside stuff work or do I just need to get a harness off a v8 camaro
