    Simple yet effective and most important you don't need thousands of dollars to have a small piece of nature in your home.

    What a fantastic setup! The simplicity of the materials makes it a scape that almost anyone could achieve, fantastic low maintenance plants that are readily available almost everywhere and look lovely as well, showing that you don't always need a crisp CO2 infused monte carlo carpet to create a stunning effect. You've really made the space in the tank seem so much bigger while still keeping a cohesive look, I find it's hard with small tanks to scape because they can easily become overcrowded but with this it's really well balanced and I'm not surprised that fish would breed in it. Great work Vladimir!

    Very attractive and sensible - silver sand/kiln sand/river sand has always worked well for me, with that lighting, island composition, mix of plants, substrate and then tiny fish, and with the addition of a small amount of CO2 - maintenance should be very low level be a easy. Clever all round. It will be good to see how it progresses. Love you home made filter and CO2 chamber.

    Simplicity yet stunning. Would java ferns work in terms of perspective for a nano tank? Or would there be a better alternative low light and hardy plant for this type of layout ?

    • @vladimirstojanovic3603
      @vladimirstojanovic3603  3 роки тому

      A very thin layer of sand was added, probably because air cannot be trapped underneath.

    Again well though and sophisticated. Thaks for sharing I am learning a lot from you. How can you keep your water Cristal clear? My roots (woods) make my water yellowish.

    • @vladimirstojanovic3603
      @vladimirstojanovic3603  3 роки тому +2

      Thanks!! This wood has been in the water for a long time in the previous setup, so the water is crystal clear. Before putting it in the tank, you can keep the wood in a bucket of water for a couple of weeks. Change the water every or every other day and you will have less problems later in the tank. The other thing. You can use activated carbon(at the beginning setup) and seachem purigen in the filter. You can use purigen all the time in the filter,when saturated it can be regenerated in bleach and reused.

    You should try the gorilla glue super glue gel (green lid), that’s what I use! It’s nice cause you hold plants in place for 20-45sec and the glue holds them in place after that!

    No soil! Liquid ferts only?

    • @vladimirstojanovic3603
      @vladimirstojanovic3603  3 роки тому

      Yes. Ferns should not be planted. Soil can be added to release nutrients into the water but liquid fertilizer is sufficient.

    Clean the wood that much makes no sense at all. As if mother nature wash pieces of wood before throwing it in the lakes and rivers... Peope should be learn not to be afraid of bacteria. But looks good overall...
